“He’s In The Argument”
December 16th, 2016There’s endless gushing for the beasts of the Cowboys offensive line.
And Gerald McCoy weighed in on a national podcast this week.
McCoy glowed and crowed about third-year Cowboys guard Zack Martin, about how he’s “a blocking machine” and has such impressive film. Man, McCoy was really sharing the love for the Cowboys’ first-round pick out of Notre Dame in 2014.
Joe thought maybe McCoy would pull a Jameis Winston and throw in how good Ali Marpet is, or Kevin Pamphile, but that didn’t happen. Yeah, Joe gets that McCoy was asked about Martin. Ok.
On Martin, McCoy told The Simms and Lekoe Podcast, ‘he’s in the argument” for best offensive lineman in the NFL.
McCoy also expressed how jacked up he is to play against the best offensive line on Sunday Night Football in a big game. He can’t wait to compete and face the best of the best. McCoy said he can’t understand why anyone could think the Bucs are afraid of this game. This is a dream scenario for any competitor, McCoy said.
Joe’s glad McCoy got a good look at the Cowboys line last year during the Bucs win at the Den of Depression. That can only help. McCoy was playing with a bad shoulder then, so Dallas should get a more dangerous McCoy.

I will say I am very nervous about this game. Let’s be real, this is the biggest game since the Super Bowl. I’m getting chills thinking about it. ahhhhh
But the fact that McCoy had this to say about the game, is extremely refreshing. I love that they are excited. I saw on the TNF halftime show last night where Dungy interviewed Jameis and the letter. Jameis explained that the letter written to the team in relation to their passion about football and how they felt about it growing up. He said think about that feeling, not professionalism. Professionalism didn’t get you to where we’re at.
I love that mentality. When I saw them play Sunday, those boys were juiced. They were singing and dancing. It’s a sight I haven’t seen since the Superbowl days.
Fact is we’re coming into Jerry’s world like excited kids that love to play the game. Imagine how excited we will all be if we win…
We’re becoming a family….

There isn’t a reason why we CANT win this game! We are one of the best road teams in the league and one of the hottest teams in football!

I said it before.. The Cowboys will attempt to jam it down our throats. They will Run 45-50 times if they control the LoS. With Zeke, Alfred Morris and Darren McFadden They will also use screens to McFadden and dump-offs to get him in space.

I was very disappointed that we didn’t put a claim in for Michael Floyd. Patriots got him. I mean he was free. Wouldn’t cost us a draft pick and has a lot of talent.

R.O. you can’t run that many times if you’re playing from behind which they will be. Show me cowboy pass rush if you can find one. Fameis about to feast on that secondary. Phil I was a little disgusted at first but hearing how far this young man’s drinking issues go I can better understand why Mr. Licht said to himself”I’ll pass”.

Dirk Diglers offense is perfect for Fameis because they both like longer developing routes Fameis likes to sling it downfield not be Captain Check down. Dallas’ dline is perfect for Fameis since he likes to hold the ball and move around to open receivers it’s the secondary that is a concern. They lock down pretty well BUT they are running Kiffin2 so he needs to be careful and know where to hit that defense.

Gotta say, this has the feel of that Atlanta game we’re all too familiar with. I’d love it if we saw a post game Koetter saying “going in to this game all I heard about was how are they going to stop that Cowboys O-line. Not one word was mentioned about how are they gonna stop this Bucs defense!”

So true what is there to be afraid of? Bucs went toe to toe with the Raiders that were peaking, no reason they can’t do the same with Dallas.

Memo to the Dallas Cowboys: Get out of the Bucs way ya creeps! Time for America’s real team to take the spotlight.

NoSBoS: Licht passed on Floyd cos of his drinking/character issues? Good!! Last thing Bucs need is for some head case coming into the locker room and disrupting it. I called that one. Sure hope LVD can play. Glad to see you posting here again. You are one of our lucky charms. GO MIGHTY BUCS SUNDAY AND CLEAN UP THE COWDUNGS!!

Ayers is going to have his hands full with T Smith at left tackle. He’s a beast.
Oddly enough, as great as they are with the run blocking, they are only above average with pass blocking as a unit
