“We Can’t Say Anymore That These Bucs Are Flukey”
December 12th, 2016Bucs fans, Peter King has heartfelt words on your pewter pirates.
A week after King all but dismissed the Bucs’ chances of a playoff berth as he slobbered over the NFC East, placing three teams from that division in his playoff bracket, the airline-napping, steerage-flying, Yogi Berra-worshiping, urinal picture-taking, video game-playing, Taylor Swift-listening, pickpocket-thwarting, Bucs-uniform-frowning, Allie-LaForce-smitten, Big-Ten-Network-hating, pedestrian-bumping, olive oil-lapping, popcorn-munching, coffee-slurping, fried-chicken-eating, oatmeal-loving, circle-jerking, beer-chugging, cricket-watching, scone-loathing, college football-naïve, baseball-box-score-reading, NPR-honk, filthy-hotel-staying, fight-instigating, barista-training King, the NFL voice of Sports Illustrated and NBC Sports fame, seems to be sort of apologizing to Bucs fans today.
In this video from his site, theMMBQ.com, King devotes the entirety to the Bucs. It appears King has learned from his ways and is now sold that the Bucs can be a player in the playoffs (you just don’t know how weird is it for Joe to type that last phrase).
For Tampa Bay fans who wanted national attention from NFL scribes for so long, it doesn’t get much bigger than King devoting a full video segment to the Bucs on his popular website.

Love that, hopefully we can beat the Cowboys to keep the hype train going but even if we don’t, I expect us to put up a valiant effort nonetheless.

So fat man finally stop squinting eyes and now see’s the light huh.

Hopefully??? Look Chuck D told me in 89 don’t belive the hype. Cboy nice record but I ain’t fearing 21st rank defense and rookie QB who isn’t all that effective being forced to play from the pocket.

Yet another expert that knows exactly what he’s talking about. Smdh

Bucs will beat Cowboys. Jameis will be hungry for the end zone after missing it for the 1st time ever. Get ready for a show boys. Bucs will pounce on that D and put up 30+. Book it! Lets go Bucs!

It’s hard to discount the bucs this year. Bucs of old would have lost to the saints, seahawks and chargers the way those games were being played out. Giving the other team the ball down a td with 2 min to go would almost guarantee a bucs loss. But the d held strong and forced turnovers in all of those situations!!! Only thing that has changed is the mentality, thanks to Smith, koetter, jameis and ayers/kwon/vh3.

this run we are on is unbelievable

Evans gonna go HAM. He had 127 yards last year against them, it’s going down!

EIGHT AND FIVE!!!

These low scoring wins are so very old school, really great to see, the Cowboys don’t want to get in another low scoring game like they did Sunday night or the Bucs could steal one, causing Jerry Jones to pee his pants in his owners box.

If we make the press look foolish again it will take a super bowl appearance for them to ever risk taking us seriously again. We are all-in now. Go Bucs!!!

Forget that clown; the Bucs don’t need validation from people like him. I respect Schrager he wasn’t afraid to go against the norm. He trusted was his eyes were showing him. Peter King is an overrated clown. His time has been passed

on sunday night, we turn jerry world into JAMEIS WORLD…..GO BUCS!!!

The music Peter King used I’m the piece is reminiscent of a baby gender reveal you tube video..

The truth is, you’re absolutely right. My mind is really having problems comprehending how good this defense has been playing lately considering how bad they were last year and the beginning of this year.
I’ll be honest, I still don’t 100% trust this defense to continue playing at this level. Nothing but love for those guys. I mean, Kwon, VHIII, Spence and especially GMC have been on a tear. Bradley McDougald and Tandy are playing like Tazmanian Devils out there.
I’m just not used to it yet. I’m waiting for the regression to the means, but hoping that this is the actual Bucs D now and not what we’ve seen the last 2 1/2 years.
Haven’t been this excited over a Bucs team in years and haven’t been this excited for a Bucs game (Sunday night in Dallas) since I don’t even know when.
Talk about an opportunity. I think this team is going to grab it by the horns

Just think, Hump and Dotson will be back so the offense should be better now that Sims is back full speed. Defense can only get better if it keeps playing like they have. Contain Ezekiel and keep Dak in the pocket and we take the win! The Gmen and Vikings showed how to take care of them

Who cares King is so overrated and a dull follow and read

One game at a time. Still 8-5? (Scratching old wrinkled head.) I’ll take it. GO MIGHTY BUCS!!!!!

Why would he say the defense has come alive over the last 4 games and not last 5 games? Five games ago was against Chicago when they only gave up a hail mary pass – and that’s it – while completely destroying the Bears. I get that the Bears offense is bad, but they nearly beat the 9-4 Lions yesterday and should have beat the Mariota Titans if they could catch any passes.
Also while Tandy has played well and made some big plays (think of him like Conte just without giving up 3 bad plays for every good play) the star of the defense is the d-line which has been amazing. This is the same defense that was getting destroyed earlier in the year – they’re a bit more aggressive now, but it’s mainly that d-line which is just been playing out of their mind for over a month now – proving what we all should know, if your d-line is great it makes the rest of defense look great. That’s why generally you don’t draft corners in the 1st round – you get DTs and DEs since they’ll make your 3rd round corners look like superstars. Nothing against VH3 with that, he’s been solid, just talking in general terms.
