Jameis: Bucs Have Given Fans “Bragging Right”
December 8th, 2016The Bucs are on a winning streak and America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, made a public appearance at a car dealership on Tuesday night.
So how are the fans treating you lately, Jameis? Joe asked yesterday.
“They treat me well,” Jameis said. “You know, after that game ball they got, you know, I figured they’ll start treatin’ me good. But you know, it just feels good for a fan to be proud of their team. As a fan, that’s one thing. you always want. You always want to have that bragging right for your team. And I believe this team has given them that. You know, so I know they’re eating that up, and hopefully we can continue to do that for them.”
Jameis is right in many areas. Fans are brimming and oozing with pride.
Bucs fans are again proud to wear their red and pewter colors around town. Lunch tastes better. Sex feels better. And the $10 warm stadium beer is delicious.
Jameis and his teammates have served up a real “bragging right.” As head Dirk Koetter said Sunday, “Carry a big mother fu%#’n stick.” And fans are doing exactly that — at least for now.
As for that game ball, well, it was a wonderful gesture, but Jameis should realize it was rather empty. The bond brewing between this Bucs team and fans is about playing very physical football and wins.
Nothing else.

Everyone local is talking about the Bucs now, for a change.
The kid at the McDonalds drive through window saw my Bucs shirt this morning, and said we are gonna kill the Saints on Sunday.
These are exciting times for us fans, for a change.

i dearly and sincerely hope that bucs fans become as (justifiably) arrogant and intolerable over the next 15-20 as Patriots fans have been for this entire century

Here in the Texas panhandle I have friends that are huge cowboys fans and they keep telling me the bucs game is the one game they are worried about. You know how good it feels to hear that!

Why is that an empty gesture Joe?
December 8th, 2016 at 11:11 am
For the last 10 years I have been talking crap to other fans whenever we play them or win and it wasn’t very difficult since we barely ever won. Ironically, now I am reluctant to do so considering we are legit and I’m weary of the disappointment I will feel on top of the crap someone talks back. It’s strange to be in this position after all this time and to actually be respected because if we won, most of the time it was an upset. Now if we lose, they are upsetting us.
Oh well, I’ll speak softly and carry a big mot*** fu***** stick!

It was a gesture of gratitude for the fans who were cheering and loud.. how is that “Empty”.. you are implying his gesture wasn’t sincere. Disagree with your opinion..

Highly disagree as well….

No bragging rights just yet. 7-5 is no reason to brag. Maybe to be a little happy but that 7-5 can slowly dissolve into nothing. Just ball out Bucs. Make the Playoffs. Then you can say your year was good. Don’t count them chickens while they are still incubating.

Everything has improved immensely with this coaching staff. Finally some long deserved respect starting from the top while being led Famous. #TheWinstonKoetterConnection

Question for Joe: How many Bucs are playing at an elite level?
December 8th, 2016 at 12:38 pm
The bottom line is that if the season ended today, the Bucs would be in the playoffs. So, that means we need to approach every game moving forward as a playoff game. No coming out flat or believing that just showing up will equate to a victory. I think we have turned the corner though and the team is having fun while building confidence and learning how to win. One week at a time men and you have the ability to be 11-5 and a team that will be feared in the post season……why not???

Joe is just salty he doesnt get to have the fans’ game ball for himself at JBF heafquarters.. I watched the conference Joe, it was just a methaphor.

For the first time in a forever, the Bucs are starting to become the feature team in the Tampa Bay Area again, not to mention all of Florida. As the lighting struggle and the Rays are still the Rays, the Bucs are trending back on top.
A home win against the Saints is not only huge for our playoff aspirations, but for our fan base and future ticket sales.

I don’t think Bucs fans have the right to brag until they actually become a 12th man that makes a difference in games.
