The Bucs are tied for first place with Atlanta. Both teams are 7-5 after today’s action.
The first tiebreaker is head-to-head action, and the Bucs and Falcons have split this season. The next tiebreaker is division record. Both teams have just one loss, and the Bucs still must play NFC South foes the Saints twice and Panthers (Jan. 1 at home).
On the wild card front, the Bucs are in the driver’s seat. The Giants (8-4) lost, as did the Redskins (6-5-1).
Yes, your Bucs control their destiny with just four games to play — and only one more game against a winning team, at Dallas in two weeks.

ATL plays the Jared Goff Rams and Kap/Gabbert 49ers next 2 weeks. We likely will have to finish 3-1 to finish in first, this team can do it.

if we don’t make it those losses against the Rams and Raiders will really, really sting.
That said, the Raiders look downright lethal. They look a bit better than the Rich Gannon-led Raiders of old.

B/C this Raiders team has more balls and is more resilient then the old timers we pounded into the ground all those years ago.

If any team can waltz into Foxboro and beat the Patriots it is the Raiders. In fact, it would not surprise me if the Raiders did so and did it rather easily too.
If Oakland loses the Raiders now they are going to regret it. That team has perennial playoff team written all over them. Still very young too. They can win multiple SB with Carr back there.

They’ll split with New Orleans. They’ll lose to Dallas. I think the season comes down to do they beat Carolina and can they get in at 9-7 if they do.

@ grt1 – yes, that and what about the no-call on the helmet hit on Humphries ? I mean that caused his concussion and yet no call ? Remember the infamous call on Adrian Clayborn on Drew Brees back in 2013 ?
How can you have one (that was bogus) and yet not call another (that was clear as day) ?

So sad about the injuries today but loved the response of the team to Cecil Shorts and the announcers even commenting on it. And the sight of Cecil encouraging everyone while being carted off the field…wow. So uplifting. And a great job by all the back ups who really stepped up. Way to go Freddie Martino!!
