“Just Call Me ‘Jameis'”

America’s Quarterback is no Johnny Football.
Pro Bowler Jameis Winston made one of the biggest plays a Bucs quarterback has made since, well, since Jameis himself.
On the Bucs’ first possession of the third quarter, with the ball on their own 23. Jameis dropped back to pass and protection quickly broke down. Jameis scrambles for his life. He cuts left, he cuts right, he curves into the end one, every way he turns he finds a Bears defender just ready to splash him.
Somehow, Jameis survives and begins to run as if he going to take it himself. But all the while Jameis keeps his eyes downfield.
Then, Jameis sees Mike Evans at midfield and Jameis launches a ball as if he’s back playing right field for Florida State trying to gun a guy down at third base (yes, Jameis also played right field for the Seminoles when not pitching). Evans skied high over a Bears defender and fell backwards but hung on to the ball for a 39-yard catch.
Evans, after the game, along with other wide receivers, joked that it looked as if Evans was back at Texas A&M catching bombs from seemingly always scrambling Johnny Football.
So when Joe told Jameis during his presser that he looked like Johnny Manziel on that play, Jameis wanted nothing of it.
“Just call me ‘Jameis,'” America’s Quarterback said, still basking in the warm glow of a rare home win.
The last time the Bucs won a home game? It was last year against the Dixie Chicks when Jameis made a crazy 20-yard run on third-and-19 to keep a critical drive alive.
When Jameis comes up huge, the Bucs seem to win.

It was one of the most boneheaded decisions, running that far back into his end zone, that I’ve seen in a while, but MAN was that awesome! Then the long TD pass on the next play! The best time to hit a big play is right after hitting a big play. The defense won’t know what hit ’em. Good job, Jameis! It’s got to be the play of the week, unless it gets beat out by the Rams 78 yard punt, ALL hang time! LOL!

Defense came up huge!!!! Defense dragged JW3 into the game today!!! great second half, but the attitude was already established!!!!!
And for those counting, and saying that the Bucs would not win another game or that they are worst than cleveland, That is win # 4!!!! not that anyone is counting, but it took lovie 21 games to get to #4!!!!

I saw the clip on ESPN (I think) and immediately thought: what jack-bag would ask that question? Now you’re telling me it was you? Ugh!
I get the comparison, but isn’t it obvious that recent events make that an insulting comparison? Let Johnny go, he’s not the only guy with improvisational skills. Ask Jameis if he was channeling his inner-Farve and you probably get a story-worthy response.
