Raheem’s Record Improves

Today turned out to be a good day for former Bucs coach Raheem Morris.
Earlier this week, Joe spent hours crunching numbers to bring fans the gross information detailing the wretched home record the Bucs have had since Chucky was jettisoned. In fact, it’s the worst in the NFL.
Joe found out the Bucs are 17-39 in home games AC (After Chucky). Technically, that’s accurate. But Joe had an oversight.
Two of those home games were played in London, not at the Den of Depression. Both games were losses. And Rah was the coach for both of those games.
So in the age of AC, the Bucs are 17-37 at the Den of Depression, 17-39 overall in “home” games. Still the fewest home wins (by five) of any other NFL team.
That makes Rah 8-14 at the Den of Depression for a winning percentage of .363, up from 8-16 in all designated home games for a winning percentage of .333.
Joe is glad he could make Rah’s day.

A lot of people dismiss the 10-6 season but that was the last time I enjoyed watching this team

10-6 season was ok, but did it lead to anything? Nope. If there’s such a thing as a fluke season the 2010 one was definitely it.

That 10-and 6 record in 2010 was total smoke and mirrors. The team had damned near every lucky bounce go their way that whole year and if memory serves me correct – did not win ONE game against a team with a winning record.

yes, alot broke our way in that 10-6 year, but that’s true of alot of good seasons. I had a great time that year, watching the defense make bad QBs look exactly like what they were and seeing Blount wearing pewter and red and alternately flattening and jumping over people late in games. I was doing alot of travel that year and managed to attend wins in Arizona and San Fransisco in addition to witnessing a respectable (in hindsight at least) 4-4 record at home
I don’t care if it was smoke an mirrors, like Tampa Tony said, I haven’t had anywhere near the fun that i had watching those 2010 bucs in the years since.
Hopefully this will be the last year i have to say that, i get the sense that alot depends on Sunday’s outcome

I was and will always be a Raheem Morris’ supporter. It was not his fault, ownership suffered a major Manchester United Brainf$$t and forced him into a position he wasn’t prepared for!
