“When I Come Back I’ll Be Even More Pissed Off”
September 22nd, 2016Tampa Bay’s “naturally pissed off person” on the defensive line, veteran newcomer Robert Ayers, talked about recovering from the left ankle he messed up Sunday in Arizona.
Ayers has a new show on the Buccaneers Radio Network, and he brings all kinds of energy — just like he does on the football field.
Asked tonight to update his injury, Ayers offered no good news other than to say he was encouraged. He gave no subtle hints that he would return on Sunday.
Ayers talked more about the future — and how angry he’ll be when is back playing.
“Whenever I’m ready, I’ll be ready,” Ayers said. “But all I can do is buckle down and focus and work hard. That’s what I’m going to do. Whenever I’m back, I’m back. And hopefully, it’s sooner [rather] than later. Just know I’m bustin’ my behind. I’m getting focused. When I am focused, I’m getting ready. And I can’t wait to get back and put this red uniform back on. I’m excited. I’m very encouraged. I’m highly motivated, and when I come back I’ll be even more pissed off — excuse me, more mad than I was before.”
Now down Ayers and Jacquies Smith, who is lost for the season with a knee injury, the Bucs will rely heavily on rookie second-round pick Noah Spence and undrafted free agent rookie DaVonte Lambert off the edge.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!! #facetiousness.

I thought Lambert was a DT?
Ugh, so concerned about the depth on the D-line. If the Rams get #30 going it could be a very long day for the Bucs defense.
Go Bucs!!!

I think I would rather have a rotation including Howard Jones, Gholston, and Spence.

Joe every year there is a break out player that rises to the occasion whether it be offense or defense there is always some name that no one has heard of that makes a name for them self and rises to the occasion. It’s a staple in the Patriots organization. Y not us and y not now for someone we scouted that is not a house hold name to step up and make a difference!!!??? #SCOUTING!!

A lot of talk so far…

It’s time to call Greg Hardy before our season go down the drain. We have lost our top two defensive ends, who neither are as good as Hardy and we keep trying out players who could not make other rosters. I am encouraged by Spence but he is a rookie and Golsten is good against the run, but we need speed and experience. The other teams win with a good rotation of players and we don’t have that. McCoy will continue to be neutralized by double teams and we will have no pass rush. Bring Hardy in and see where his head is and if he can help this team sign him! The contract won’t be guaranteed. Been a fan since the beginning and a five seat ticket holder since 1999, tired of LOOSING at home in the sun!

I’m always amazed at how billicheat wins no matter who is hurt. His third string qb looks like he can start for at least 16 teams. I guess it really boils down to coaching huh. I miss schiano.

Anybody check on NOS-BOS lately?
I get so worried when I don’t get my daily reassurances that we are now world beaters.
Should I just “wait on it”?
September 22nd, 2016 at 10:32 pm
Technically….just “wait on it”……..belongs to Love and Warrick so.

Maybe the Lambert talk is just smoke

Nos-Bos is a coward. Last year he kept telling us “wait on it” but when the season-ending losing streak commenced he was nowhere to be found on these boards for months. What a pansy. An embarrassed little girl who can’t handle being wrong in public so he goes and hides in a corner. Big talker, big predictions, but when it hits the fan he runs like Forrest Gump. Run Nos-Bos, run!!!

SB- technically speaking you are wrong. That was the sad suck mantra of NosBos at the midpoint of 2015 when Incompetent Lovie Smith napped through Sundays after church while the rest of his team and us fans got repeatedly curb stomped.
Love n Warrick is not the guy

Joes- what’s with the comment moderation all the time? I don’t use foul language or break any of your other spoken rules.
What gives?

Undrafted free agents starting at left after your best two go down is not good. Martin is out as well. I think this Sunday’s game is basically a toss up at this point. If these injuries continue this season may spiral out of control very quickly.

I’m beginning to miss LOVIE!! Ha ha haha!!

It’s amazing how u go from having decent depth on the line to scrambling to sign a backup within one week. This is why u can never have enough good players on your D line. U never know what’s gonna happen. We made it thru OTA’s and preseason with practically no injuries and the second game of the season u got 3-4 key starters out all within 60 mins. U could almost make a argument that losing Ayers is almost as bad as loosing Dougy, Ayers was turning into a veteran leader on that line and provided that mean streak that this team sorely lacks. But it’s the next man up and now it provides a opportunity for Howard Jones, Noah Spence and Gholston to step up and show there capable of being more than just a rotational guy. I like all three of those guys so I’m eager to see if one of them steps up and takes advantage. Noah had his 1st sack Sunday so hopefully he can build on that and continue to provide pressure along the edge.

@ Big Hog
We can go 0-16 and I still wouldn’t miss Lovie…keep that F#@ker away from Tampa Bay. Simple as that!!

Don’t get angry, just get even.
