Watching his former FSU squad shat the field for much of the first half last night from the sidelines in Orlando put Jameis in a foul mood. And he lashed out at the Seminoles at halftime.
“O-line, WAKE UP!”
That was part of the message America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, gave his old college team Florida State, at halftime of their eventual win over Ole Miss in Orlando last night.
In the first half, it looked to be a blowout for Ole Miss. The Rebels couldn’t be stopped on offense, and on defense they manhandled Florida State’s offensive line.
Jameis watched it all from the sidelines and FSU coach Jimbo Fisher invited Jameis to talk to the team at halftime. Jameis proceeded to unload on the Seminoles for what he thought was a poor effort on the field.
What happened afterwards? It was like a different game. Florida State, once down 22, roared out of the gate at halftime recording the largest come-from-behind victory in the program’s history.
Showtime Network is chronicling the Seminoles this year for a series to be shown on the movie network, debuting tonight, sort of a like a college version of “Hard Knocks.” They captured Jameis’ fire and brimstone sermon.
Pretend this isn’t Florida State but the Bucs, and you can get a taste of what it’s like to have Jameis as the leader of your squad.

When the sec went 8-2 and the. for the 18th year in a row they had the most players drafted yet again.
Also the year fsu beat auburn they were the 5th best team in the conference.
Anytime you recruit in the south you are going to have solid players.
The acc has 2 great teams and two good teams. Not taking anything away.
But what would fsu’srecord look like if they had to now go play this schedule back to back to back

I generally root for Bama. Next year will be fun. I don’t think anyone is disputing the SEC is generally the best conference. It’s just not the gap between #1 and the rest like the SEC hype machine likes to portray.

Johnny….the season is young, who’s to say how many teams are actually good in the SEC just yet. Let them battle it out like usual and see where they fall in the end.

Sec is overhyped, I remember mizzou and Texas a&m making the transition. ESPN said ” they will be doormats in this conference”. They went on to prove that they were forces to be recond with. Not bad for a couple of ex pac 12 teams right? Acc is currently 3-1 against the sec. We’ll see how the rest of the season pans out.

Just watched Steven a smith on ESPN defend the sec and Alabama. He said “Alabama is in another stratosphere because of meat and potatoes”. That’s the strongest argument I’ve ever heard(sarcasm).

Only one problem with the theory…This ain’t college. This is..the NFl where grown men rule. The best of the best. And your team does not always have..the Best. You can pep talk alls you like. You’d better be able to..ball out. And stop another’s team momentum. Because the talent on the opposite side of the ball? Is as good or better than yours!
