Kenny Bell Mob Gets A Groin Kick

August 11th, 2016

BellphilyJoe warned all of you Kenny Bell Mobsters for months.

Shame on every one you for overhyping a young wide receiver who had done absolutely nothing to deserve the love and pressure usually reserved for accomplished football players.

Tonight in Philadelphia, Bell played another bad preseason game and may have lost his Tampa Bay career.

Bell fumbled the opening kickoff on a hit from ex-Bucs linebacker Najee Goode. It was a clean and unspectacular hit at about the 15 yard line. Bell never appeared again on kickoffs. Donteea Dye had two solid efforts after Bell.

Bell also committed an offensive pass interference penalty and drew one, too. But he didn’t catch a pass. He’s still never caught a preseason pass.

Enough already with the hype. Leave Bell alone. Let him develop, if he can, without the senseless hype.

Is his hair really that interesting? Is the fro that special? Tiquan Underwood had great hair, too, but he never caught an NFL pass after he left the Bucs following the 2013 season.

Maybe Bucs fans should all celebrate the hair of Dye and Russell Shepard, since they’re sure to make the roster ahead of Bell.

hahahahaha i love it Joe!! Speak the truth! Kenny Bell won’t even make a practice squad

  2. Mike30#1bucfan Says:

That was not offensive PI, and he should’ve had a touchdown Ryan Griffin!!

  3. Buc Neckid Says:

Kenny Bell looks like Nick Cannon looks if Mariah Carey took away his divorce settlement

  4. Buccfan37 Says:

You never know, Bell could surprise if given another chance. I think, not sure.

  5. Mike Johnson Says:

Kenny Bell will be..substitute teaching in the Tampa Bay school district come September…with a haircut!

  6. Brent bull/buc Says:

Man all you guys wanting to develop some marginal young wr guys. We should have snagged bolsinger. If I was a gm that would have been done. Screw this bell Krause bs.

  7. Brent bull/buc Says:

    Boldin not bolsinger. Phone

  8. LifeOfABucFan Says:

Nate Burleson stated on his show last week that he feels like coming back to play with Winston..He loves our QB…and I think he’s only like 34..lol..

Come on Nate! Suit back up!

  9. NJBucsFan Says:

Yeah that PI call was as bad as the lack of intentional grounding call in the end zone

  10. Rojas Says:

Russell Shepard is our 4th reciever ! Dude had an amazing game.

  11. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Bell also committed an offensive pass interference penalty…” – Joe

    Wrong, Joe.

He was called for it, but the replay clearly showed it was a bad call…as Ronde pointed out.

Drawing the PI isn’t a bad thing.

Really, his only mistake was that fumble…and considering Jameis Winston threw a pick on his first official play, I think you should cut Bell a little slack.

He should have been given another chance to return a kick at the very least, because giving up on him after ONE bad play sucks. He can return kicks, and do it well.

  12. LovieBall Says:

He will either be cut or put on IR again.

  13. feelthepewterpower Says:

Bell Brigrade reporting for court marshall, Sir!

  14. Tbbucs3 Says:

More preseason overreactions, i can assure you Shepard is not our 4th receiver after 1 good play in a meaningless game. Solid role player.

  15. Birdman Says:

Lol Joe couldn’t wait one post to bash my boy Kenny. I dont see an article about Aguayo shanking his first ever extra point or about Hargreaves not squeezing a pick, neither of which plays were affected by anyone else on the field, but one bad play by Kenny where he gets hit sure doesnt deserve a whole article. Yeah he fumbled a kick off, he’s probably off special teams duty from now on, but the PI on him was a joke.. Leave Kenny alone, he’s gonna shut you up in the next three weeks, Joey.

  16. feelthepewterpower Says:

We’ll put him on the practice squad. Patriots will sign him, and Tom Brady will make him a star receiver. You just know it will happen! Bell Brigade requesting a transfer to practice squad reserve duty, sir!!!!!!!

  17. salish_seamonster Says:

Well, he’s on our team for now, and we all want to see him succeed. He looks good on those Nebraska highlights and camp videos. He looks fast, quick, and smooth. Sure would be nice to see him put those talents together. He’s got 3 weeks.

  18. Joe Says:

Leave Kenny alone, he’s gonna shut you up in the next three weeks, Joey.

He may only have two weeks. First cutdown is Aug. 30.

There is zero tangible evidence to suggest Kenny Bell is going to blow up so much in the next two weeks to earn a roster spot. If that happens, good for Kenny, good for the Bucs.

This just in: Hargreaves and Aguayo are both rookies and didn’t cost the team six points. Bell is in his second year and did cost the Bucs six points and maybe the game.

  19. BucfanBF Says:

    Joe
Just to let you know, this is Kenny Bells first game…. Ever!!!

He played in two preseason games last year. –Joe

  20. Tbbucs3 Says:

Apparently Joe only values pre season when it comes to Kenny Bell. Dudes yet to play in a single NFL game and we’re already talking about cutting him, that would be incredibly risky wasting a potential talent.

  21. Couch Fan Says:

Yea I guess we shouldnt have any hope for anyone that has never played a preseason snap. Shame on us. Ridiculous.

  22. Birdman Says:

Aguayo definitely cost one point, and the Hargreaves pick wouldve put us in their territory instead of pinned back by a punt, so Im calling that costing us at least 3 points.. Why are treating Kenny like he has all this seniority? He’s played in as many regular season games as you or I have. Im sorry he didnt put up enough numbers for you on IR last year, but having a good-spirited fan base for a good-spirited guy shouldnt draw the ire of the press. With all these aforementioned silver linings Im truly sorry your first take from the game was about one fumble.

  23. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Birdman,

I think you are missing the point. First of all, the media has been the ones that have hyped him up to the fans (not Joe of course). How else do you think everyone is talking about him? 99% of the Bell mob have never seen him play a game, so let’s not go saying the press has been hard on him. The fact of the matter is his name always seems to come up as a potential WR for this team, but there has been zero evidence (outside of a few catches in underwear football) that he is even a CFL-caliber receiver.

I spent much of the game watching him, because frankly I want him to be everything his mob says he is. I have no interest in trashing the guy, but the facts are the facts. The fumble was terrible. He’ll get him a million times harder than that in a real game. You or I could have done a better job of holding onto the ball. He is tiny. He will get roughed up by an NFL CB. They are going to jam the hell out of him, and he will never get off the line of scrimmage.

I hope I’m wrong and he catches 10 balls next game. Until that happens, he’s just another camp meat player on this team. He’s not a high draft pick, he’s not shining at camp, and he’s not playing well in the games.

  24. grafikdetail Says:

bad nite for Bell… in his defense, on the offensive PI he never touched the guy… the officiating was the most disappointing tonight… the spence roughing the passer call was BS too

  25. Birdman Says:

@Hawaiian when I say the press is being unfair to Kenny, I mean just Joe lol. I hear your points, and yeah the fumble was bad, but I just dont like that Joe doesnt like this guy just because other people do. Joe got all hot in the pants for teeny tiny Krause playing underwear football but writes off anything Kenny does bc he spent a year on IR. I know anyone who likes Bell is associated with his mob, but its not like we like him bc we like eachother. He wouldve been the third fastest reciever drafted this year, I think theres definitely a place for him as a 4 or 5WR on a thin WR chart. Im calling it now.. Vjax, Evans, Hump, Shep, Bell, Krause/Davis are your WRs. Krause and Davis will duke it out these last few games, if they even keep 6.. Please just no more Dye. He actually lost us a game last year (Saints), cant we all just dislike him?

  26. Joe Says:

Apparently Joe only values pre season when it comes to Kenny Bell.

So what has Bell done outside of underwear football where he should be gifted a roster spot on the final-53 so he can dress for a regular season game, provided he’s not on the inactive list?

Please do detail what Bell has done to earn a roster spot next month. Don’t hold back.

Why exactly should Bell get a valued roster spot to try to prove himself in a regular season game when he doesn’t do squat in a preseason game nor training camp?

Johnthan Banks has done far, far, far more (in regular season games, mind you) than Bell ever has in preseason games or training camps and Banks is on the bubble.

Shoot, Tommy Streeter showed more with the Bucs three years ago and he never made it past preseason.

  27. Dreambig Says:

It’s not surprising several of you forgot Bell played in a game or two last year. The reason you forgot is because it looked a lot like tonight only with out the fumble. At least now he will have a particular play that we will remember him by.

  28. Dreambig Says:

    ^preseason game

  29. Owlykat Says:

First I am still ticked at Stupid Schiano for cutting Najee Goode from our team right after he was the VIP of our last preseason game three years ago. He is a far better talent than Bell who has almost all the measureables except toughness. He is too soft to succeed in the NFL which is why I termed him a bust before this season started. They can cut him now! White played a good game tonight and should not lose his place to keep giving Bell more chances!

  30. BigHogHaynes Says:

    Dye & Shepard looked better!

  31. BucUToo Says:

To roughly quote Coach Koetter from his half time interview, “That was probably the worst special teams play I have ever seen”. That does not sound good for a bubble guy. Dye made some nice moves when he got his shot, and damn near broke one. Unless Bell shows up in the next 3 weeks, it’s going to be curtains for his Buc career. I wish him and his hair the best.

  32. Phil Says:

Good bye Kenny Bell. Probably be on the waiver wire today.

  33. JMN Says:

Hope Bell enjoyed cashing those paychecks for doing absolutely nothing last year cause they are about to come to an end. He got outplayed by Shepard and Dye. Unless he makes a complete 180 these next 2 pre-season games and quits disappearing in camp during non-underwear football practices, he is destined to be loading trucks at Fed Ex this coming fall.

  34. Rrsrq Says:

    Devin Hester.

  35. Crimson King Says:

Shame on us for being excited about a player that the Bucs drafted, and hyping that player because of the benefit that we believe that Bell could bring to the Bucs organization? No. Shame on Joe for being so obviously biased against a player (despite these little CYA caveats that are included in every Bell post) and also having such an adversarial relationship with some of his posters. Professionalism, this ain’t.
