“Here You Go Jameis”
July 28th, 2016Joe was mesmerized yesterday when Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy talked about the sitdown he had with America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, regarding the direction of the team.
Among the throng of media at One Buc Palace yesterday was WFLA-TV sports reporter Paul Ryan who offered a clip of GMC talking about his relationship with Jameis — and his parents — in the video below.

Anyone else get the feeling that GMC never really wanted to be the face of the franchise ?

Chris, I have been saying that to anyone that would listen every since he was drafted… He is not the kind of leader this team needed at the time… Basically he was forced into a roll that regardless of how good of a leader and man he is… It would not make a difference…
THIS IS THE KIND OF LEADER HE IS (for a football team). Give him something real to buy into and someone real to play for and now you can start to see what his true leadership skills are….
JW#3 is the kind of leader every team starves to have… WHY??? They feed everyone else….
ITS TIME FOLKS, FOR TAMPA TO BE CHAMPIONS AGAIN… Title town USA…
Lets go Rays, Bolts and Bucs… (had to throw the Rays in there too)

Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:
On a team devoid of natural leaders, the title was thrust upon him as the best player on the squad and I always thought he wore it confused & uncomfortably.
He’s not a natural leader. He knows it. I’m sure his chat with Winston—the actual leader—lifted a big burden off his shoulders.

GMC wanted the attention The Face of the Franchise receives that being said he did not want to be held accountable nor has he played to the level of a true Face of the franchise. He just needs to focus on his play now. No more excuses and no more disappearing acts. There never was a doubt who Jameis was referring to in that epic post game rant about the Why and coaches wanting it more than some players. Great job by Jameis addressing the problem head on..

A QB cannot win over the locker room unless the leaders set an example and buy in. McCoy is still a leader. He’s setting an example for the others in the locker room to follow.

And playing hurt much of last year is also a leadership quality. By
