“What Would Logan Do?”
July 27th, 2016Doug Martin was talking today at One Buc Palace.
He had plenty to say, but one of the more interesting lines of chatter was Martin discussing the great impact of Logan Mankins last season. Of course, Mankins has retired. But Martin explained that he is still around in many ways.
Martin emphasized Mankins was a “dog” in the trenches and set such a great example for young O-linemen. Martin said he expects the O-linemen to be asking themselves through this season, “What would Logan do?”
It was a nice tribute, and Martin was rather animated and heartfelt.
Rather than dropping a “WWLD,” Joe would prefer the Bucs’ O-linemen — and fans — say, “Look at what J.R. is doing.”
The day after new guard J.R. Sweezy, Mankins’ replacement, was put on the PUP list with a mysterious injury, Martin’s words have Joe’s stomach doing flip-flops.

Logan would absolutely make sure that the brisket he was smoking had the tastiest burnt ends.
