“Just A Fabulous, Tremendous Human Being That Still Has A Couple Of Years Left”
March 22nd, 2016Joe only caught the tail end of Ravens head coach John Harbaugh talking about new Bucs linebacker Daryl Smith at the NFL Owners Meetings this morning.
But what Harbaugh was saying sure seemed to match up to all the other public love he’s shown for Smith, via Baltimore media.
“Just a fabulous, tremendous human being that still has a couple of years left,” Harbaugh said of Smith. Tampa Bay’s every-down, 34-year-old linebacker.
For those catching up, Smith was a salary cap dump by the Ravens, and the Bucs signed him last week.
Lavonte David and Smith, who played for many years under Mike Smith in Jacksonville, are the only two NFL players with at least 350 tackles, five sacks, five interceptions and four forced fumbles over the past three years.

this guy arrived in Baltimore to replace Ray Lewis. Was that even possible ? Yes because he is a HUGE professionnal !
All the comments coming from Baltimore are the same !
The guy is a real real professional !
ANd I think that not only will he be useful for us but he will also help some our young LB to grow and to grow strong !
We can all thank GM Licht for this.

Lets pray..a lot of these retreads the Bucs signed will have a couple of good seasons left in them. Some will..some won’t. Nobody can blame a player for getting paid on his last rodeo. Just hope he stays on the bull.

I like the mixture of accomplished vets mixed in with our younger players…..as we bring in more younger players, the vets move on……at that point we will have a winner.

Great signing and a big upgrade. Even if he is a short term answer – Daryl Smith’s presence in the LB meeting room and hopefully his play on the field will do wonders for Kwon, LaVante and any young Buc LB trying to learn the ropes and become a true professional football player.
