One place there won’t be any chatter is between that hottie’s funbags!
March 9th, 2016 at 9:15 am
^^^^^What he said!
March 9th, 2016 at 9:20 am
Just saw the Pats are sniffing Sanu too. Brady could make him look a whole lot better.
March 9th, 2016 at 9:22 am
Is anyone awake over at One Buc? Seems like every good FA we’ve talked about adding, has instead gone to another team. Are we going to add anyone to make this team better? I know it’s still early, and I know Free Agency….technically…hasn’t actually started yet, but it seem like there is a palpable sense of disappointment out there amongst the fans.
Hopefully, today we can lock up a couple of decent players…and keep.Doug Martin…and put some of those millions of dollars of cap space to good use.
March 9th, 2016 at 9:27 am
There are still SO many FAs out there that I think would serve us well…and at ‘Value’. Some DTs, Jay Howard or “Snacks” Harrison. Schwartz is a great value. IIoka at safety is a big value. Another DE from Miami that might be interesting to look at is Derrick Shelby, stepped in for Wake when he went down and did well. If the fish keep Vernon, Shelby might need to get a call from us. What about Boone?….Nasty OLmen are good gets. “Pot Roast” Knighton at DT would be thick in the middle. Another safety with consistent health and results (value) McLeod….just to name a few.
March 9th, 2016 at 9:40 am
Amazing how fans have not learned a thing since FA started in the NFL… Fans who complain about one thing or another I don’t know if they have trouble processing information or capable of rational thinking. It boggles my mind…
March 9th, 2016 at 9:49 am
to be clear – who cares about the compensatory pick Miami will receive. Its not compensation from the Bucs pool of draft choices – its irrelevant to us.
March 9th, 2016 at 10:00 am
Some of these FAs that are already off the board went at a premium price. Yeah, JJenkins is a good CB, but do you really want to commit $12M+ to a guy that is known for gambling on plays? Especially when the rest of our secondary isn’t stellar?
Vernon needs to be our main target now. We should bring back the Dougernaut as well, with at least one OL in tow. Preferably Schwartz at RT, because I’m ok w/ Pamphile at one of our guard spots.
If we grab those guys, we upgrade both our lines and keep our RB. That’s a win.
March 9th, 2016 at 10:06 am
Marvin Jones to the Lions.
March 9th, 2016 at 10:11 am
If we go 5-11 do we still get to blame Lovie Smith?
March 9th, 2016 at 10:15 am
If Alterraun Verner doesn’t improve, yes. #Revis
March 9th, 2016 at 10:19 am
As I said before, Licht has a terrible track record with handling FA’s. This is his chance to break away from Lovie Smith blame and make a name for himself.
If he lets Vernon slip, fails to resign Martin, and can’t secure decent depth at WR (Roddy) then what does that say about our GM?
March 9th, 2016 at 10:23 am
I think we should give Quinton Couples a look
March 9th, 2016 at 10:23 am
That’s the whole point. The good ones go off the board first and if you are not willing to spend some money every “good” FA is going to pass you by. I don’t care if we overpay Mario Williams. Now I just heard Travis Benjamin has agreed to terms with the Chargers? C’mon Jason Licht. Whatever you are doing isn’t attracting any players. Get your best players and go sell your team. Its not rocket science. Being the Buccaneers means we have to pay more and sell more. If you wait any longer you are going to be stuck with the same team you put on the field last year. Have you not seen next years schedule? Its brutal and we need reinforcements. Go get Olivier Vernon. I don’t care if it costs 15 million a year. Go get him. Go get Sean Smith, Robert Ayers, William Hayes or Eric Weddle. Please hurry before we have to put a TV dinner in the oven.
March 9th, 2016 at 10:25 am
It says nothing more than between him and the coaches they have a plan. We DO NOT KNOW what it is .
March 9th, 2016 at 10:29 am
I miss the days of bringing in big names! Keyshawn, Revis, Simeon, Jackson, and Chucky. We used to be known for making a splash!
March 9th, 2016 at 10:50 am
That he’s good at the draft.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:00 am
Hey Biff and Bucsfan:
Fun bags indeed…..but take a good look downstairs and tell me what you see.
Something extra?
Not judging…..just sayin’.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:02 am
March 9th, 2016 at 11:03 am
Sorry, that last post didn’t blockquote correctly.
Being good at the draft is only 1/2 of the job. He also has to be successful at free agency, both in retaining home-grown talent and attracting impactful free agents.
So far, Jason Licht’s record in Free Agency is atrocious. I’m sure Lovie Smith shares a lot of responsibility for the first off-season, but this is clearly Jason Licht’s team now.
Licht needs to land a bona-fide pass rusher, a couple of experienced wide receivers, and retain home-grown Doug Martin in order to turn the tide in his favor.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:04 am
We are not a good team. We are not going to get good free agents without overpaying them. We will only get check chasers. Not ring chasers. We’ve done the check chasers and they all effing suck with very few exceptions. Its lilke an ugly rich dude marrying a hot model that gives zero f*cks about him. Metaphorically speaking, I’m sick of the models that don’t care about anything that’s farther away than their own nose. Ain’t no sweat off my sack if we leave empty handed today. Remember Warren Sapp’s face when he was drafted? Why would a good player CHOOSE to play for a sh1tty team. All we can do is hope to improve and hope Jameis improves, then next year we can get some ring chasers. I’d rather go out in September with what we have for DE instead of a couple more worthless Johnsons we had the last couple years.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:08 am
Dooshlarue – What the hell is that? Please say it aint so!
March 9th, 2016 at 11:12 am
Licht does not have to do anything except what he feels is right for this team. Oprah would be proud of some of you.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:16 am
Hoping they really do have a plan….would hate to see Martin with someone else.DE would be nice. Are we just dreaming?
March 9th, 2016 at 11:25 am
Hopefully we go 6-10 that would show improvement from last year because our schedule is tougher, that’s the yearly spin from management, FML
March 9th, 2016 at 11:31 am
Licht is not just pulling names out of a hat. You can count on it that Koetter and Smith along with others meet with Licht and have made the decision on how things need to be handled and the plan. We may not like it or agree but TAS. They run things we don’t.
There are still things like the draft, trades and cuts to go yet. Way to early for panic.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:38 am
What happened to all the comments????
March 9th, 2016 at 11:38 am
Oh…new thread lol
March 9th, 2016 at 11:43 am
So…Jason Licht is looking pretty impressive right now. He nearly had the Martin deal done, but took too long and the agent raised the price.
According to Charles Johnson, the bucs were never in the running.
We has missed out on some really good players thus far.
March 9th, 2016 at 11:52 am
UGH..just turned on the computer…I think it would have been best not to..lol..
Benjamin gone..and Jones gone..dang..those two I was REALLY hoping..
March 9th, 2016 at 12:06 pm
@America’s commentator..
YOU ARE CORRECT!!
That’s how Denver did it!! Elway was dead set on winning and took that hodge podge of FA’s and I think they did pretty good, eh!!????
March 9th, 2016 at 12:08 pm
Licht upgraded the coaches. That’s good for 8 wins with the players we had last year. We don’t need to pay more than a player is worth to build a competitive team. The offense will still be a top 10 unit with or without Dougie. Coaching and scheme will improve the defense as well. The players who come will fit the plan. Be patient.
March 9th, 2016 at 12:19 pm
“The offense will still be a top 10 unit with or without Dougie. ”
Very debatable.
March 9th, 2016 at 12:21 pm
LOL the ship is sinking quick!
March 9th, 2016 at 12:22 pm
Eagles will be picking 8th in the draft now….switched with the dolphins at 13th. And the good news about that is they’ll probably be eyeing a QB.
March 9th, 2016 at 12:42 pm
@MadMax
That actually IS very good news!
March 9th, 2016 at 12:43 pm
More good news…Travis Benjamin is off the market. Now we don’t have to see requests on him anymore!
March 9th, 2016 at 12:46 pm
Crap…Lions got Marvin Jones. My list is shrinking quickly.
March 9th, 2016 at 12:48 pm
LOL Bonzai!!! Karma baby!! 🙂 🙂
Hey, we all have our guys we’d like and dont get. Just dont pee in my coffee and I wont pee in yours 😉
March 9th, 2016 at 12:50 pm
I bet Lovie is laughing right about now!
March 9th, 2016 at 12:53 pm
WTF Falcons signing Alex Mack!!Unbelievable
March 9th, 2016 at 1:01 pm
Anyone ever notice how New England never makes a big “splash” in FA and they are curiously always an SB contender? Packers, rarely in FA, Seattle, eh not much, Pittsburgh, not really. See a trend? We were big players the last couple of years and look what it got us. Do I want Doug back? Of Course! The other guys we were hoping for, Williams, Johnson, at DE. Might have been ok. There are a ton of guys out there that can play available. We need depth at OL, another Slot WR and maybe another vet WR, A pass rush DE, a SS Linebacker, and Safety help. I would rather stay the course than waste another year on high priced FAs that don’t live up to the money.
March 9th, 2016 at 1:16 pm
Brandinator, stop making sense. it’s time to panic, don’t you know that.
March 9th, 2016 at 1:27 pm
That is good that Falcons signing Alex Mack. Cause Falcons going after Mitchell Schwartz who bucs are in the mix with. He is one of top rated right tackles in NFL. And bucs week spot. Hope bucs sign Martin so they can sell Schwartz on have season rushing title potential running back on team. And I agree with all the people who say we have to overpay. We are the bucs. Bottom of barrel right now. We have all this money and are looking for deals. Gimme a break. We need to get quality starters
From free agency and draft to improve this year
March 9th, 2016 at 1:43 pm
Good for Foster, he seemed like a great guy but just wasn’t a good fit in the 4-3 that we ran, but if you need your MLB to instead stuff the run he’s a quality player.
March 9th, 2016 at 1:53 pm
We have all this money and are looking for deals. Gimme a break. We need to get quality starters
From free agency and draft to improve this year
———————————————————
Keep in mind of future draft picks we must “pay” such as the QB, Oline spots, and MLB. Just because we have all this cap space doesn’t mean we need to dry it up. We have to build the franchise with young/core pieces. “Winning” free agency has been correlated to losses.
March 9th, 2016 at 1:56 pm
Who cares about opinions. I keep coming back to this thread because of the picture 🙂
March 9th, 2016 at 1:59 pm
We need to sign Mitchell Schwartz today. But for everyone freaking out. There are plenty of great free agents available.
WR- Rishard Matthews, and a risk/reward guy like Brian Quick
OL- Schwartz and Kelvin Beachum
DL- Robert Ayers, Greg Hardy, Jaye Howard, Derrick Shelby, Oliver Vernon
LB- Jerrell Freeman, Danny Trevathan, resign Bruce Carter
CB- Sean Smith, Greg Toler
S- Tashaun Gipson
TE- Ladarius Green, Zach Miller
I would sign Rishard Matthews, Mitchell Schwartz, Jaye Howard or Derrick Shelby, Sean Smith, and Tashaun Gipson.
That would be 5 starters and still leave us with plenty of cap space to fill other holes. I also really like Danny Trevathan. He could be our new Sam LB.
Its still 2 hours away from free ageny and some of you are acting like spoiled children. Remember some of the deals that have already been “agreed upon” are not official. Does anyone remember Emmanuel Sanders?
March 9th, 2016 at 2:10 pm
@MadMax
lol
March 9th, 2016 at 2:11 pm
FunkyMunk, I like the idea of Danny Trevathan. Supposedly he’s being wooed by the Bears. John Fox linkage.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:13 pm
Sean Smith being wooed by Cali teams..
March 9th, 2016 at 2:14 pm
RB Doug Martin
or RB Matt Forte on a one year deal
WR Jermaine Kearse
WR Roddy White
CB Casey Hayward
RT Mitchell Schwartz
This is the most important signing. If we get this guy, Evans can play guard for a year and we can draft guard next year)
DE Olivier Vernon
Schwartz is more important. Is paying Vernon 15m per year worth it? I’m not so sure. I wanted him, but not at that price. Better to spend elsewhere and address DL in the draft.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:18 pm
On the topic of running back…next year is supposed to be deep in them. If we lose Martin, all we need is a good vet to fill in for a year. And there is a good chance our backup can step up his game.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:18 pm
@FuNkYxMuNkEy
Kelvin Beachum is a left tackle.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:22 pm
Nelson is a nice player. That would be a decent pick up…even at 33 yers old.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:22 pm
@ Bonzai
Not a bad backup plan if Martin leaves. And I REALLY like next year’s draft class @ rb
March 9th, 2016 at 2:24 pm
BUCS AGREE WITH MARTIN 2 YEAR CONTRACT
March 9th, 2016 at 2:24 pm
Per Roy Cummings
March 9th, 2016 at 2:26 pm
WHAT!!???? @ Jimbo
March 9th, 2016 at 2:27 pm
Bucs just resigned Doug Martin for 5yr-$35Mish
Yesssssssss
March 9th, 2016 at 2:27 pm
Sorry it’s 5 year 35 mil. Look on bleacherreport.com
March 9th, 2016 at 2:27 pm
The #Bucs have agreed to terms on a deal to retain 2-time Pro Bowl RB Doug Martin, per league source. Big signing for Tampa Bay.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:27 pm
Woot! Martin signed!
March 9th, 2016 at 2:28 pm
Dougie is back and he got PAID!!!!
March 9th, 2016 at 2:29 pm
Hell yeah baby
March 9th, 2016 at 2:29 pm
One thing done right!!! OMG! Chinese food and Mt Dew at my house tonight!!
March 9th, 2016 at 2:30 pm
We got Dougie back!
March 9th, 2016 at 2:30 pm
Been there done that. Let me know when he signs it!
March 9th, 2016 at 2:30 pm
Thank God we got Dougie back! At least we aren’t getting any worse as a team.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:30 pm
I’m giving a big virtual hug to all of you!! Don’t hug back to tight though, I’m only 5 feet and hundred pounds!! LOL!!!
Yay!! More news networks reporting it!!!!
March 9th, 2016 at 2:31 pm
Lol Chinese food and mtn dew. I’m on the floor laughing
March 9th, 2016 at 2:42 pm
@FuNkYxMuNkEy Says
Actually, I think I’ll go through your list if you don’t mind.
WR
Rishard Matthews – He could be good depth. Personally, I’m leaning toward Roddy White and Jermaine Kearse
OL
Schwartz WE MUST GET THIS GUY!
Kelvin Beachum – Plays Left Tackle, which is not a need.
DL
Robert Ayers – Hasn’t stayed healthy since 2011. Too old.
Greg Hardy – No! He would spend more time suspended than playing.
Jaye Howard – He hasn’t been consistent, but he is young and healthy…good depth maybe.
Derrick Shelby – Not good enough.
Oliver Vernon – Would be great here…but he is too pricey. Word is he wants 15m per year. He just isn’t THAT good. Better to draft a pair.
LB
Jerrell Freeman – Good player…not healthy.
Danny Trevathan – He plays Inside…and we have Kwon there.
Bruce Carter – I doubt that will happen. He was good depth though
CB
Sean Smith – We have better on the team already
Greg Toler – Never had a complete season due to injuries. No deal.
S
Tashaun Gipson – He’s been unhealthy…but…he’s shown ability. He’s young. It might be worth taking a chance on the kid.
TE
Ladarius Green – The main need at TE is health. He is not that.
Zach Miller – one healthy year in the last six. Too old.
March 9th, 2016 at 2:52 pm
Bonzai..great breakdown..
March 9th, 2016 at 3:13 pm
What are Mike Williams and Tim Wright up to?
March 9th, 2016 at 3:16 pm
Doug Martin Resigned!
March 9th, 2016 at 3:17 pm
How about Snacks or Pot Roast. Lets go 3-4!
March 9th, 2016 at 3:17 pm
We are gonna trade for Martelus Bennett from the bears. We need a TE that isn’t soft as toilet paper.
March 9th, 2016 at 3:18 pm
ROFL!
The Browns decided to yank their offer Mitchell Schwartz in order to call his bluff that other teams are interested.
They are pushing him right to us!
March 9th, 2016 at 3:18 pm
@LifeOfABucFan
Thanks!
March 9th, 2016 at 3:22 pm
LOL the Rams just put a 1st round tender on Case Keanum just so that the Broncos won’t sign him LOL
March 9th, 2016 at 3:24 pm
I’ve been reading so much on the Michael Bennett saga and how he is so unhappy ..id there anyway to get him back here?? Can we do some major trading??
His heart never left Tampa! he hung around our boys at the PB!
March 9th, 2016 at 3:26 pm
They say all empires fall..I think Denver’s days of domination are at the beginning stages of epic fail..
This is our time to take over the reigns..
March 9th, 2016 at 3:35 pm
Miller to Texans. It’s official. Miller will sign a four-year deal, worth $26M. $14 million guaranteed.
March 9th, 2016 at 3:35 pm
Did somebody get signed? I’m still mesmerized by that picture!
Yay, we got Dougie!!!
March 9th, 2016 at 3:50 pm
Hire Jimbo n Lifeofabuc
I’d love to bring both brothers down to Tampa. The more Alpha’s the better imo.
March 9th, 2016 at 3:51 pm
So with no Peyton nor Brock for the Broncos, and the FAs choices being slim, any one think that perhaps a trade of Glennon to Denver for their 2nd Rnd pick (end of the round) is in the works?
March 9th, 2016 at 3:53 pm
We are already out of the Vernon sweepstakes. Apparently we low balled him right off the bat, and it’s between the Giants and jaguars. SMFH
March 9th, 2016 at 4:05 pm
Ding ding ding ding!
March 9th, 2016 at 4:05 pm
Amen DB55…
March 9th, 2016 at 4:06 pm
I have a feeling Roddy White will be signed..and I really hope so..
March 9th, 2016 at 4:08 pm
@T in Orlando
If that were the case, Glennon would have it made. Denver traditionally has one of the best offensive lines. Seeing as how he is a statue and does best when not rushed…I bet he would excel there.
March 9th, 2016 at 4:10 pm
At 5 p.m. Koetter and Licht doing press conference..
March 9th, 2016 at 4:12 pm
Mohamed Sanu, Joe??? You are joking, right?
March 9th, 2016 at 4:14 pm
Glennon will win a SB before JW if he were in Denver. I’m mean easily win a SB.
March 9th, 2016 at 4:16 pm
Reggie Nelson…interesting. Led the league in picks last year. He’s going to be 33 when the season starts…but he’s stayed healthy.
I’m not against this signing…I’m a little concerned about the one year wonder factor though. And obviously…he’d be a temporary fix. 2 years tops.
March 9th, 2016 at 4:22 pm
Barron making 2 million more than Doug Martin lol.
March 9th, 2016 at 4:23 pm
Well now the Beagles are picking before us
March 9th, 2016 at 4:25 pm
Broncos aren’t winning the super bowl with giraffe or anyone else. You can’t just win again after losing your super bowl quarterback. I don’t care how good your defense is. Ask the Ravens.
March 9th, 2016 at 4:29 pm
I know Dane great guy. He has some big things in the works around this town in MT. Glad I got to see him in a Bucs jersey.
March 9th, 2016 at 4:30 pm
Did the Eagles ever resign Fletcher Cox ?
March 9th, 2016 at 4:34 pm
Schwartz first, then Vernon if possible, maybe Nelson next please
March 9th, 2016 at 4:35 pm
Also is dolphins Mathews still available now that it looks like Sanu is off table??
March 9th, 2016 at 4:46 pm
@TnOrlando
I was just thinking the same thing. Glennon to Denver would help them out tremendously and give us a late 2nd to get either a great player or trade bait to get back into the 1st.
Yes Rishard Matthwes is still available. So is Schwartz, Gipson, and a DE from Miami that will be cheaper and possibly more productive. Derrick Shelby. Shelby or Jaye Howard from KC would both be great pick ups at DE.
Hopefully, with Martin out of the way, they will get serious about signing a DE and O Line. *cough*cough*Mitchell Schwartz
March 9th, 2016 at 4:52 pm
@ 1987
Ding ding ding ding
You are freaking hilarious ,man.I love it!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:00 pm
Vernon signs with the Giants!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:00 pm
Vernon to NYG
March 9th, 2016 at 5:01 pm
No big names for this ball club.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:01 pm
Dam go get brent grimes I dont care about his injury history he will not break the bank and will be a solid rotational corner. Wanted him since he left atlanta. Also go get rashad mathews hes a good reciever as well
March 9th, 2016 at 5:02 pm
Grimes is staying Miami.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:03 pm
Just kidding.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:03 pm
5 years/85 mill for Vernon- no way, I am glad Bucs didn’t over pay for him. I never heard of him before this past week. Let’s draft DE.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:03 pm
sign JAYE HOWARD now!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:09 pm
TV just said the Bucs sign Martin or is that old news.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:09 pm
Giants can have Verner. No way would I want the Bucs competing with that salary. Andre Johnson wants to play one more year have him finish his career here as a 3
March 9th, 2016 at 5:11 pm
No to Jaye Howard
March 9th, 2016 at 5:14 pm
You people need to calm down.
You’re talking about signing players that are WORSE than what we have!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:15 pm
Huge f#cling contract. 56 mil over first 3 years. 5 years 85 mil.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:16 pm
No to A.Johnson
March 9th, 2016 at 5:16 pm
Grimes is available.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:17 pm
mohammed sanu is a tall receiver that would fit in well with the rest of tall trees. Winston likes big receivers. I hope we make a play for him.
We will need a number 2 receiver in the future and he is pretty good in the slot from the report I read.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:17 pm
Anyone sleeping on Grimes and Nelson? a CB and S could be if anything good quality back if not starters. I like those 2 in the secondary.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:19 pm
Mitchell Schwartz finalizing a deal with KC according to Schefter
I’m not a huge FA guy but this has been a complete failure. We’re going into next season with the same pass rush as last yr (don’t try and sell me on a rookie giving us any kind of pass rush) and more losses on the O-line than additions
Failure
March 9th, 2016 at 5:24 pm
Vernon gone…
Worst owners in the NFL! Since Malcolm got sick and died-RIP, this team has gone down the tubes. He knew how to operate. This is just another example of rich kids really having no clue how to run a business.
Thanks for raising prices and not acquiring a quality DE (the most obvious need on the team). Im so pissed I cant breathe..

Report DE Ayers is coming to Tampa for a visit…. Posted about him yesterday, don’t think he is the next 10+ sack guy….. Think C McDonald on the edge. Good depth and works hard. Would definitely take him…. Impact player comes in late April!

@CreamsicleBananaHammock
If true, Jason Licht just lost a lot of points with me.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:29 pm
@DoNUTS
This has nothing to do with the Glazers. This is ALL Jason Licht.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:30 pm
No Mitchell S..( insert cricket sounds here)…
March 9th, 2016 at 5:32 pm
DE Robert Ayers is a one-year-wonder who didn’t have his year until age 30.
He would be depth only.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:32 pm
And the crying continues!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:33 pm
Getting Mitchell would have turned around my opinion on Licht. Alas, he doth falleth short yet again!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:37 pm
And if I was Licht I wouldn’t of paid that much either
March 9th, 2016 at 5:38 pm
There’s still Hardy!! lol!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:39 pm
@Bonzai-
I’m still a Licht fan, but missing out on Schwartz is a big whiff IMO — you’ve got to protect your franchise QB

BuccaneerBonzai:
That one year was last year….. When he was back to a 4-3 defense with the Giants instead of a 3-4 with Denver. He is solid…. Not dominant but steady.

Doug Martin live on nfl net station..coming up next!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:44 pm
Diner Bell JOE???? More like late night snack after your relatives plundered your fridge.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:46 pm
Too bad about M Schwartz. That would have been really solid for us.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:46 pm
Ok, looks like we’re signing JR Sweezy — 27 yrs old and solid player
Makes me a little happier
Also, if you’re upset about Charles resigning with CAR but still looking for a Johnson I’m pretty sure the chick in the picture above has one tucked back
March 9th, 2016 at 5:46 pm
We haven’t done nothing today. They said big day, and we just resigned Martin that’s not good enough!! I’m not upset with Vernon that’s way to much money for him but we need WR OL and secondary help
March 9th, 2016 at 5:48 pm
Ok stratch the OL we signed J R sweezy would like to get one more guy for depth
March 9th, 2016 at 5:50 pm
Oh that’s a pretty good signing! Still need a few more!
March 9th, 2016 at 5:51 pm
Although Sweezy has a big name, he was a 16-game starter on one of the NFL’s worst offensive lines last season

Doug Martin just reiterated on NFL Network that he does not want to be called Muscle Hamster. Can we please refer to our Star Running back as Dougernaut??? His wishes, IJS….
March 9th, 2016 at 5:54 pm
For $7-mil a year I’ll let people call me whatever they want – and I mean it. Anything. Just cash up front please.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:55 pm
He’s Muscle Hamster. Period.
Dougernaut is more fitting for a hard hitting RB
March 9th, 2016 at 5:55 pm
Sorry Doug. Muscle Hamster for life.
March 9th, 2016 at 5:56 pm
I remember when Barron got ran out of town people celebrating saying how terrible he was – which I never saw. I saw McCoy, David and Barron being quite the trio, add in Revis (or Talib) and man, you got a solid defense. These same dullards would be celebrating McCoy being chased out of town. Lesson is, most fans are not very intelligent.

J.R. Sweezy was converted from Tackle to Guard. I wonder if the Bucs plan on using him back at tackle…
March 9th, 2016 at 6:03 pm
They say u have no say in your nickname, i guess its true!
March 9th, 2016 at 6:04 pm
J.R. Sweezy was the 66th ranked guard. What a signing!
March 9th, 2016 at 6:04 pm
“Right now, it feels like the Bucs are pecking for crumbs after other teams feasted on roast turkey and mashed potatoes.”
There are always turkeys in the FA mix Joe. We’ll have the cap space to protect our young core and they’ll be living the ghost Johnson nightmare. Many simply won’t live up to the contract or hype because many are Charles Johnson homesick, stuck on a losing team.
Case in point, we drafted our franchise QB on a 5 year deal. About $24M? Meanwhile the Texans just paid $18M for the greatness of Brock O!
Not saying we can’t bring in some short term FA help. I am all for it. But I want to keep drafting OUR guys and be able to pay the serious talent long term.
March 9th, 2016 at 7:05 pm
Do the Broncos need to move up to get a QB?

Peter King @SI_PeterKing tweeted:
Reminder to the panic-stricken that your team’s not doing mega-deals today: Lots more bad deals than good get signed on Free Agency day 1.

Why not call the jets give them glennon and a draft pick for DE Wilkerson
