Michael Clayton: Passing Instructor
February 4th, 2016So it seems everyone connected to football promotes something for the Super Bowl (people calling the Super Bowl “the big game” is about the cheesiest thing Joe has ever heard. Only non-sports fans pretending they are sports fans would stoop to something so ridiculous).
Enter former Bucs first-round pick Michael Clayton. Since CBS will broadcast the game, local CBS affiliate WTSP-TV Channel 10 is going all out promoting it.
They host some yenta show called “Studio 10” on weekday mornings, and the host decided to call in Michael Clayton for tips on how to throw a football.
You can see the results in the WTSP-TV Channel 10 video below.

Of course everybody here could give a crap about Clayton’s throwing the ball…we are still left wondering why the hell he couldn’t CATCH the dang ball.
Clayton should stick to lesson on how to block…he was pretty good at that.

You mean to tell me there is not a better option in the area given all the football camps / academies they have to bring in stone hands. that’s hilarious.
StPete
off topic from another post man, I looked up that plane crash wow… glad you made it… thanks for sharing the story. crazy… I have a friend who works for or just retired from NASCAR and he loves him some Allison’s… LOL… He always said they were some of the best people. Not sure which Allison he liked best but he always favored AJ Foyt and the Allison’s.
yeah joe I know it’s not a message board…

Such a shame. He showed so much promise in 2004. He would never come anywhere close to his rookie numbers. But he and Cadillac both faded.

unless you want to write the NFL a massive check, you should probably avoid putting a branded event or product anywhere near the words “super bowl”, the NFL shield, or the SB50 logo. “big game” is CYA phrasing
February 4th, 2016 at 11:29 am
People use “the big game” instead of superbowl to avoid liscensing law suits against them. The superbowl is a trademark, you can’t use it to profit off of. You would think someone like Joe would know this.

Ah yes, the ole Michael “couldn’t catch a cold if he licked a walk-in clinics floor” Clayton proves that saying ‘even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile’ to be true.
February 4th, 2016 at 11:33 am
“The big game” is synonymous with “the superbowl” because of so many companies using that phrasing to avoid lawsuits. Now it is common verbage to use it when refering to the superbowl, even if legal consequences arent a factor.
Aka, not a big deal, who cares.

She chose Michael Clayton because he is doing nothing else besides sharing the name with a B-level movie character played by George Clooney

TBBF
Even that Michael Clayton dropped the Academy Awards.

“people calling the Super Bowl “the big game” is about the cheesiest thing Joe has ever heard. Only non-sports fans pretending they are sports fans would stoop to something so ridiculous)”
Yeah, or ya know, businesses that don’t want to get their ass sued by the NFL for trademark infringement. Come on, Joe…

There are so many jokes I’m not even going to bother.

Totally understand this. Why not “championship of professional football?” (And please don’t start with that arena league nonenense.)

“There are players, and then there are playas”.
Jon Gruden when asked why Clayton sucked
After his rookie year, many of you probably remember this, there as an article showing Clayton leaning against the hood of his Ferrari in a Fur coat in the driveway of his huge house. I hoped for the best, but my gut said “uh oh”.

Some of the best arms on teams I played on were WRs. Big hands, athletic, most of them couldn’t QB worth a damn but some of those guys could absolutely launch it.
