    YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. MadMax Says:

Watching DE’s #2 Oakman, #90 Reed, #95 Nassib, and CB #5 Cyrus Jones mostly.

  3. MadMax Says:

    OT #58 Drango too.

  4. LargoSamIM Says:

    2016 BUCS…… 10-6 …… playoffs ?????????

  5. MadMax Says:

Keep your eyes on CB Eric Murray #31 North also.

  6. Stanglassman Says:

Just got in, started watching the game.

Why not Noah Spence Mad Max?

  7. Stanglassman Says:

I like watching Alex Flanagan but we kinda missed Spence’s sack!

  8. MadMax Says:

Watching him too….he just had a sack.

  9. MadMax Says:

    #97 Spence, South

  10. MadMax Says:

#93 Butler DT, North is busting through too.

  11. Tampabaybucfan Says:

To bad we don’t have 21 picks in the first two rounds….

  12. K2 Says:

On Spence…will the off-field concerns move him down the board?

  13. MadMax Says:

    Probably K2.

  14. HIRE JIMBO Says:

It’s not K2. He admitted that he was addicted to X. He was kicked out of Ohio state but has since cleaned up his life.

  15. Buccaneers Says:

Guys let me know how fullback #40 does.

  16. Buccaneers Says:

I’ve seen tons of projection having us taking Spence. Looks like hell be ours next year. Hope he looks impressive.

  17. MadMax Says:

Everything is also dependent on the combine. My guess is Spence will go mid to late 2nd.

  18. MadMax Says:

I havent been watching Vitale #40, but we do have a need at that position now.

  19. Buccaneers Says:

The Bucs should invite Dominick to give them his advice. It will really help them to know who not to draft.

  20. MadMax Says:

Glenn Gronk at FB…..its possible, the right coaching.

  21. Buccaneers Says:

I like Vitale. He is not going to do anything that will pop out of the screen. Dude is absolutely fundamentally sound, something our team lack. Great blocker that will stick it til the whistle, always protects the ball and has great hands. You win with guys like him.

Wouldn’t mind seeing him get taken later rounds.

  22. Buccaneers Says:

Only thing it Vitals is not a football name. Maybe if his first name was Sammy. That’s one thing I like about Spence, his name will easily transition to the next level.

  23. Buccaneers Says:

Hahahahaha MadMax. We have a need at fullback? That statement is too easy considering we have a need at every position except QB………. Then again mostfans want to trade Glennon. I guess they want to officially get ve us a need at every single position….. Including the most difficult one to fill.

  24. MadMax Says:

Have to look into Vitale some more…thanks for pointing him out. This is why I was hoping the Joes would open a thread like this….hardcore going hard like us fans!

    BTW, Thanks Joes!!!

  25. HIRE JIMBO Says:

    Buccaneers
Are you saying that if wr trade MG8 then JW3 is not the answer at qb? Or is it that we should keep a good back up for comfort? Basically are u pro JW3 or anti JW3?

  26. MadMax Says:

Well, I doubt Javorskie Lane will ever be the same again.

  27. LifeOfABucFan Says:

All I know is that I am Grunked out..seeing that obnoxious family and the pompous frat boy gronk..UGH!

But I am very impressed with Spence!!

Did I miss any good plays with Glen Gronk?..I didn’t see anything special unless it was when I got up to feed the cats..lol…

  28. HIRE JIMBO Says:

I really hope that Noah Spence falls to us in the 2nd round. BUT, I have not seen him in a 3 point stance yet. Only 2 point stance. If we get him he w I ukd have to play DE or a DE/OLB hybrid. Which could be good considering Mike Smith wants to run some 34, He would make a great 34 olb.

  29. HIRE JIMBO Says:

    *would

  30. Buc1987 Says:

Oh no I see it’s up and running, new articles and such.

    Okay buh bye.

  31. HIRE JIMBO Says:

Did anybody see the buccaneers.com video of JW3 and Deandre Hopkins kicking it at the pro bowl? He is a free agent next year. Imagine him and ME. Maybe JW3 can convince him to come to tampa.

  32. Buccaneers Says:

Jimbo. I love Jameis!!!!! I think many fans are taking him for granted though. We get a franchise QB for once so now we can just toss away our backup? It’s ridiculous IMO. Teams that are serious about winning value a backup QB.

We’re also assuming that Jameis is the starter for 2017 which he should be. But lots can change in over a year. And lots have changed for many teams in the past.

QB is the most crucial position in football and also the hardest to get……….. Let me point out a few other factors. What if nobody will give Glennon a chance to compete in camp when he is a FA? Then we may retain him……….. Also keeping him here for a year gives us an opportunity to bring in a third QB to see if he can provide backup in the future. If that doesn’t work and then Glennon leaves we can try again in Training Camp. It gives us an extra year of flexibility to fill the toughest hole you can have(QB).

Just seems like many fans are predicting the future when saying to trade Glennon for anything we can get. And the notion that keeping him means “we get nothing” makes no literal sense.

Stop taking Jameis for granted y’all. Franchise QB doesn’t negate the need for a quality backup.

  33. Rojas Says:

It would be amazing if he could recruit Hopkins, I also seen where Lavonte David said he’s not going to hit Doug because he wants him healthy to be a Buc for life. Glad they’re all lookin out for each other.

  34. Buccaneers Says:

When will the Bucs have the chance to resign Martin. After SB50? I want to see this happen to assure me the GM knows what’s he’s doing…….. I should already know this but the Dominick scar still hurts.

I am just glad we have a lot of cap space making re-signing Martin a nobrainer. Would be brutal if we couldn’t afford him.

  35. MadMax Says:

Standouts for me…for our Bucs at needed positions:

    DE’s Oakman, Spence….DT’s Reed, Butler, Rankins…DB’s Jones, Murray, Thompson…

    O line Drango, Martin.

  36. HIRE JIMBO Says:

    Buccaneers
Well said. I was not trying to attack u or anything, just wanted to know. And I somewhat agree with u on MG8. I would like him back. But if we can get a 3 or 4 for him I would do it. Good back ups are for super bowl and deep playoff contenders. And we are neither. If JW3 goes down we are basically F#ck3d.

  37. HIRE JIMBO Says:

Stand outs for senior bowl for me were
    Noah Spence
    Daddie Nicholas
    Butler from Louisiana Lafayette
    Sheldon Rankins

  38. HIRE JIMBO Says:

I also liked Martin from Norte Dame. Maybe he is as good as his brother in dallas

  39. Buccaneers Says:

I know Jimbo. I wanted to answer your question. Also I have a tendency to go into a rant. It’s fun for me.

    GOO BUCS!!!

  40. MadMax Says:

Just saying, the east west shrine game was a lot more exciting to watch.

  41. Brian D. Says:

Spence is too small IMO. Combine his size with the off the field issues and he would be a very high risk pick for us. I like Ogbah…love Calhoun and Nassib. I wouldn’t mind back to back defensive ends if Nassib makes it to our second pick.

  42. Buccaneers Says:

I do agree with you on that Jimbo. We’re not SB caliber yet.

Dont think we are as bad as we looked last year if we could have eliminated the mistakes. Surely the coaching staff will think they can fix it all. Not sure how possible that is. If I were in their shoes I would have to think I could get the Bucs playing fundamentally sound and also add all the pieces to make a SB run.

I think they should have that mindset and don’t see them trading Glennon for a cheap pick.

  43. Couch Fan Says:

I dont think good backups are expendable just because we arent super bowl caliber. I dont understand that at all. If thats the case, then we wont ever be super bowl caliber cuz we’ll be constantly trading away good players.

  44. Buccaneers Says:

Well couch I don’t think it means the position is expendable. I think some people look at one(precieved) year of Glennon being less valuable then a 3rd round pick.

I disagree with that but can at least understand and respect the difference of opinion. What gets me going is to hear fans saying that we don’t need Glennon, for a variety of reasons. Or the most popular opinion…..if we let Glennon leave in FA we get nothing……….Is having a quality backup this year nothing? Is an extra year to search for a future backup nothing? It actually makes no sense to me that “we get nothing” this is a line that has been repeated at nausum.

  45. Couch Fan Says:

Thats pretty much how I feel about it. I love Winston but its very possible that he suffers a injury that puts him out for a while. I rather not just toss the season away playing another McCown, instead of Glennon. Glennon might not win us a bunch of games but he certainly won lose games for us. Thats what you want out of a back up. And he costs practically nothing. I’d take that over an extra 3rd or 4th any day.

  46. Tnew Says:

Game tape of spence looks good, but if I’m taking a flyer on a dl it will be Nkemdechie. Ogbah’s game tape is less than inspiring. The flash play from time to time are there but his snap to snap game to game work is less than inspiring

  47. HIRE JIMBO Says:

I don’t see Spence as a traditional De. He’s not a “hand in the dirt” De. He is a situational pass rusher from a stand up position for me. But I think we can still play a 43 with him as a kind of “stand up De”. Same as a 34 olb. I know that would essentially put us in a 34 in obvious passing situations, but you can just line him up like a 43 De but out wide in a 2 point stance. I think of him like a Von Miller type. His dip/swim move looked great. (Just like Miller). If Mike Smith can use him right (which I know he can) he will be a terror in the pass rushing game. He’s a guy u game plan for IMO. People don’t see it yet, but I see greatness.
    GO BUCS
    #LICHTKNOWSBEST

  48. BucGator Says:

Hire Jimbo, Rankins didn’t even play

  49. Big Marlon B Says:

i was intrigued with by the thought of Braxton Miller in round 3 or 4. but after the week of practice he had, seems like the consensus is that he doesn’t make it out of the 2nd round. and everyone is saying he will absolutely kill the combine.

by all accounts, Oakman’s week of practice was underwhelming at best. 2 sacks and a forced fumble in the game will prevent his stock from getting damaged too much. he is definitely a work in progress, but i think he has a world of potential. Hayes might be the perfect coach to get his hands on him, and turn him into something.

Nassib also looked pretty impressive to me in the few practice clips i was able to see on NFL Network. looks like he uses his hands very well.

this draft isn’t loaded with a lot of can’t miss, top shelf talent. but appears to be a lot of depth, and a lot of guys with untapped potential. with so much uncertainty, this draft will be very interesting.

  50. Jeagan1999 Says:

I know the Bucs need help on defense in the Draft, but as an Ohio State guy, I gotta say…Braxton Miller, Mike Evans and a healthy V-Jax gives me goosebumps! What an offense coach Koetter could build around those guys!

  51. BucPugilist Says:

Pfft braxton miller is nothing special you guys, saw him drop a super easy pass in this game, and he is hella slight of frame. Pass.

  52. MadMax Says:

No, due to injury Sheldon Rankins didnt play in the game. But before he sprained his knee he was looking great in practices. Those also count.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/jan/29/louisvilles-sheldon-rankins-impressive-shortened-s/

  53. MadMax Says:

@Tnew, Im with you on Ogbah….not impressed at all. I’d rather take Billings at #9 than Ogbah….then go after Oakman.

  54. SteveK Says:

Jason Licht is in a pressure situation this draft, firing the Coach who hired him and losing your right hand man to the vacant GM spot in TENN.

I think this will make Jason Licht perform even better. I don’t know why exactly, can’t put my finger on it, but our GM appears to be the real freaking deal. I just feel that Licht has the appropriate acumen and was groomed the right way.

Bill Belichick and his front office are savants, say what you will about them. Steve Keim has assemble a helluva roster in ARZ too.

This is going to be Licht’s 3rd year with our draft, and his 3rd draft as NFL GM.I really feel that after the grand slam hit last year, and with our “intelligent” coaches that can mold their scheme based on the talent, we are going to see an outstanding draft.

Draft picks are lottery tickets, like it our not, this is not a sure thing. To be successful in this league, one most show discipline and draft BPA. Look at Ali Marpet, never before had a D3 guy been taken as early as the 2nd round.

This April, I can’t wait to sit back and watch the draft unfold. Jason Licht won me over when he passed on Manziel and took Mike Evans. He made me even prouder when he took Marpet in the 2nd round, that took a big set of balls to do so.

I hope that the fans can move on from the decision to fire Lovie Smith. It really stinks to have to fire a coach after two years, and I am sure the owners hate doing it, but it was absolutely necessary in this case. Lovie refused to change, and even wanted to bring in outside help to assist his defense.

I am so, so sorry to the fans that were hellbent on the Tampa 2 returning with Lovie. I was there too, and then I saw our team fold 14/16 times in 2014. I knew during the game @ Atlanta, on Thursday Night, when Hester broke Prime Time’s record and the Falcons had 56 points into the 2nd quarter that the DREAM WAS DEAD.

Don’t hate Licht and the Glazers for firing Lovie. It was necessary, as Lovie REFUSED to change anything up, and he REFUSED to give up control. Lovie was sinking out ship and he needed to go. Licht is genuinely sad that he had to do what he had to do,but it was business. It is not okay to sit back and watch your livelihood be destroyed by a stubborn dinosaur, refusing to change, and refusing to talk about making adjustments.

I look forward to a disciplined, mentally tough, and exciting defense schemed around our talent in 2016. I look for Coach Koetter to really rally our team, and start getting them to play better football. I don’t think wins will come right away, but I fully expect the team to look more formidable, and to be managed better on game days.

  55. Rob Says:

Please do a ton of research on Robert Nkemdiche. It’s hard to imagine a better player next to GMC. After watching Carolina’s combo of Short and Luteleile, it would be a sick combination for years to come. This could be another Sapp like draft gift for the Bucs.

  56. StPeteBucsFan Says:

    @Buccanneer Says

Great summation of why we should keep MG8 even if we lose him after 2016 and the compensatory pick if he goes FA is not that great. Well written and thought out.

    @SteveK

Just a great post. This is why I say I start reading all posts no matter their length. That was an excellent effort IMHO.

    @ALL

I did not get to see the game so thanks for all that analysis.

  57. BladeBuc Says:

We need to improve the secondary and pass rush, if available we should take Hargraves and Lawson
