Rob Lowe Wants To Coach Bucs
January 12th, 2016Joe is confident there are candidates trying to fill the opening left left by the dismissal of Lovie Smith we have not heard of yet.
Well, one guy who has now publicly thrown his hat in the ring is none other than actor Rob Lowe.
Guessing he was doing an interview with WTVT-TV Channel 13 recently, and he offered his services to coach the Bucs because, well, the Bucs, with just one winning season since Chucky was jettisoned, really need his help, so Lowe stated.
Someone else wants a shot at the #Bucs head coaching vacancy. What will Jason Licht and the Glazers think though?! pic.twitter.com/FGSYFUnAxK

Just a hunch, but Joe’s going to guess Lowe has enough football acumen to not run off Darrelle Revis and shove all his chips to the middle of the table for Stewart McClown.

I am LITERALLY the best candidate for this Job. – Chris Traeger

Horrible actor. That’s why everything with him in it fails these days.
Bet someone here will say yes to him as coach though, because Bucs fans are so intelligent….

BuccaneerBonzai … Rob Lowe makes as much sense as some of the names that continue to pop up in some of these comments. I’ve now seen Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells, Bud Grant … just for starters.
A number of fans seem to think that Nick Saban will be a hot NFL coaching possibility after last night’s win. Being a huge Bama fan, I’m convinced ‘he ain’t going no place’. Not only does he make $8 mil a year (plus) already, but more importantly he has total control at Bama. And that’s a huge part of why he’s successful. He gets the best coaches, the best players, the best facilities, and puts it all together … his way. Works beautifully at Bama; didn’t work at Miami. And wouldn’t work in Tampa either because of the ‘control thingie’.

Defense rules… Why would the Bucs believe anything Saban would tell them? Did you forget about Miami where he had a press conference and stated publicly he had NO interest in the Alabama job and then the NEXT day dude quit and went to Alabama? He has zero credibility in mho.

Wonder if Bucs are waiting to interview Sabsn knowing Koetter will be here. What about Hue Jackson?

@Bucs Believer … ‘Why would the Bucs believe anything Saban would tell them?’
Because Saban would tell them ‘Thanks but no thanks’? The Bucs HC job isn’t exactly the creme de la creme.
And besides, after giving Lovie near total control … and seeing how that worked out … I doubt very seriously the Glazers will make that same mistake with the next coach. I think they’ve come to trust Jason Licht (which is a good thing), and wouldn’t strip him of his authority to give a new HC hire total control.

After watching the national championship game I think another name comes up. Lane Kiffin. Doubt it, but he has head coaching experience, the Glazers will do their due diligence.

Just like Fox for some BS. Funny.
January 12th, 2016 at 9:38 am
He’d win more than 8 games in two years
January 12th, 2016 at 9:48 am
@Defense Rules
I don’t really want Saban either…or any college coach except maybe Harbaugh.

Lane Kiffin? I hope not! That guy gives me the creeps. Besides, we already have our OC-HC.

Hi Tampa Bay I’m Rob Lowe and I agreed to perform 20 hours of community service to avoid criminal charges for having sex with a 16 year old. I promise I didn’t know how old she was. Money and fame buys what….

Would his Monday radio show discussing Sunday’s losses be called “About Last Night?”
