Three Straight Years Of Lovie Collapses

Joe has written many times that coincidences are as rare as Joe getting invited to pool parties by hot women.
(Yeah, it happens once every decade.)
But in the world of football, coincidences are even more rare. Things happen for a reason, and winners and losers are rarely defined by luck — good or bad.
In 2012, Lovie Smith’s Bears were 7-1. They collapsed and finished 10-6 and missed the playoffs, leading to Lovie getting fired.
In 2014, Lovie Smith’s Buccaneers lost their final six games, five of which they were trying to win.
In 2015, Lovie Smith’s Buccaneers lost three in a row to losing teams following a 6-6 start.
To use a baseball analogy, one could argue Lovie has lost his fastball when it comes to motivating and preparing a football team when the games matter most. After all, it was Lovie who proclaimed that real football starts in November, and that his teams are prepped to play their “best ball” in the second halves of seasons.
Joe can only imagine what Team Glazer will be thinking if the Bucs lose next Sunday in Carolina.

Lovie will get one more year. Let’s assume we do well in the draft adn free agency but once again falter as next season comes to an end, do we have a good team for Koetter to take over?

Sucks to root for a loss, but if losing 56-10 to Carolina gets Lovie fired, then short term pain for long term gain. But does it matter whether we fire him or not? Lovie is a loser but look at the Glazer losers hires, both us and Manchester United, shall we
2009- Fired Gruden after losing 4 straight games; Hired Raheem and Dominik (both fired)
2012 – Hired Schiano (fired)
2013 – Hired David Moyes (fired)
2014 – Hired Lovie (horrible); Hired Louis Van Gaal (about to be fired)
Even when Lovie does get fired, those losers are picking the replacement. I say let Licht make the decision. He has NE and ARZ blood and not loser Glazer blood.

As they mentioned on FOX, Lovie plans his halftime speech before the game even starts….
This point alone lets us know that this man has no idea how to adjust and adapt during the flow of a game, or a season…. let alone motivate an active, gameday squad….
Cut bait Glazers… We get it, you wanted to bring in someone connected with the glory days… But its time to move forward.

I don’t know if anyone notice but #99 #55 #20 #47 #97 #40 aren’t coming back and someone needs to inform the bosses. All this holding on to the past needs to end after next week . Lovie needs to leave amd promote Dirk and go get a bad ass defensive coordinator and the it will be a “NEW DAY N TAAAAAAAAAMMMMPAAAAAAAA BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!”

6-6 everyone was trying to talk playoffs now the Bucs are 6-9 and can’t play consistently or beat bad teams.

Donald Trump would make a better head coach then Lovie because he has passion. Pay Bill Cowher any amount he wants and you will have a football team that plays with passion and a winning record. Keep Lovie and you will have Obama like performance with the Bucs again. At this point I would almost trade Winston for the opportunity to hire Mike Tomlin. Tomlin is a winner and I am tired of losing year after year. Fire Lovie and his Tampa two now.

Hate to bring politics into this, but Lovie in 2016, with a guaranteed contract, is similar to a lame duck president…
Nothing to lose either way, everything to gain… It could get ugly…. Especially if we see his son Mikal Smith promoted from DB coach to DC…

He’s no good, I can’t believe he gets to survive another year. News to Tampa fans: he’s costing this team wins. Its about the only thing he does consistently. Fire him, promote Koetter – this is the best case scenario.

Glaziers…as a fan I am asking you to please ask your players who they would rather play for…lovie or koetter. I think yhe answer overall will be koetter. If so please fire lovie. If they prefer to keep lovie than I will accept your decision.

When more players get worse than get better
When the same pre-snap penalties happen over and over again
When the players who are let go play better with their new team
When the team is flat for their biggest games
When a team is undisciplined
When a team has no passion for the game
When your players are out of shape
When you start players who have less talent then the ones on the bench
When you don’t adjust your game plan during a game
When you are 8-24 n two years

Too many mental breakdowns, especially down the home stretch. Sure, we lack talent in the secondary, but here is some really bad defensive play-calling out there. We are just giving up way too many completions, and it is a combination of coaching and talent.
