Less Is More
December 23rd, 2015It is nearly Christmas. So, of course, TV reporters want to know what players want for Christmas.
America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston, was not immune from this line of questioning. Joe had no idea where Jameis would go with this question, but the rookie knocked it out of the park.
“If I could ask Santa one thing for Christmas, just take away some of my losses,” Jameis said. “Give us some wins so we could be in the playoffs. Man, that is the worst thing. Sitting at home watching other people play. That’s probably the thing that is going to eat me alive than anything else.
“C’mon Santa!”
How cool is that? No new car. No new flatscreen. No new set of threads. Just less losses.
To quote the late, great Jack Buck, “That’s a winner!”

I hope Jameis isn’t asking Santa for less wins.

Joe, you caught it before I could post my comment. Now, I look like a tool. GO BUCS!

It makes Howard wonder if a few players on the Bucs secretly want to miss the playoffs. You know, more time off, less bumps and bruises and all that stuff.

Yes, he is still learning…..
1) how to overthrow open receivers when the game is still competitive
2) how to rack up stats in garbage-time against prevent defenses

I’ll go ahead and make some wishes for Winston.
1) Re-sign Doug Martin.
2) Dirk Koetter comes back for another season.
3) Logan Mankins comes back for another season.
4) Vincent Jackson comes back for another season.
5) The Bucs add another stud receiver this off season.
6) A set of soft hands for Mike Evans.
7) A bubble wrap suit for ASJ.
