Belicheat Riding Bucs’ 2015 Rookie Draft Pick

December 20th, 2015

iosefaLast week, it was cornerback Leonard Johnson on the field for the Patriots.

Today, the man chosen to take over for injured LeGarrette Blount in New England was drafted by the Bucs this year.

Joe’s talking about the star from the University of Hawaii, the prideful Samoan, rookie fullback Joey Iosefa. He was the 2015 seventh-round pick by Tampa Bay and didn’t make the team.

After two months on the Patriots’ practice squad, Iosefa was promoted by Bill Belicheat yesterday. And there was Iosefa this afternoon, grinding out yardage early in the Pats’ home game against the Titans.

Iosefa finished with 14 carries for 51 yards. He was the leading rusher in the game.

Now Joe is not saying the Bucs should have kept Iosefa. They’re hardly hurting for running backs. But it’s darn interesting that the Patriots could have signed Mike James off the Bucs’ practice squad, a Greg Schiano man usually coveted by Belicheat, yet they signed Iosefa instead.

If Iosefa and Johnson play key roles in a Super Bowl victory, then Joe might need a liver transplant.

    Joe,

If a running back finished a game with 14 carries for 51 yards you would drown yourself in beer which is the reason joe will need a liver transplant by the way. And where is the article illustrating way Gerald Big Bubba McCoy is such a great player?

  2. Mike10 Says:

I honestly don’t believe it has anything to do w their skill sets. I think it has everything to do with the position their coaches put them in to succeed. I think Billicheck looks at the strength of a player and figures how he can exploit it in his system.

I think our team is chalk-full of talent. I just have no faith in our ability to develop or exploit it – and pull each piece together to make the team great and win consecutively.

^^ And this article has exactly what to do with McCoy?

  4. Thibs5599 Says:

Always liked Leonard Johnson and the way he played. Not saying he was a star by any means and last year he struggled mightily, but wish we would of kept him around.

  5. Lovie Is Dog Poo Says:

There’s no doubt Lovie is a horrible talent evaluatar. Just another reason to fire his incompetent ass. Hopefully Jameis goes to Licht or the Glazers and lets them know he can’t be around a big loser like Lovie and truly become Jameis Christ Almighty.

  6. Rrsrq Says:

Off subject, but speaking of other teams, Steelers and Broncos been fighting all game, but barely any flags, mmmm

  7. ATrain Says:

Not coaching the players aren’t executing..Not Lovies fault

But players execute with other teams? Funny

This isn’t the only one either…

Tampa Bay cant find a coach we have to go to the bargain basement..

    Lovie Chicago is calling

  8. Mr. T Says:

Thought it was stupid of the Bucs not to give this kid a real chance at running the ball, they never did. However it worked out pretty well for Joey, he’ll be going to the playoffs with a legit shot to win a SB ring.

Who said this article had anything to do with McCoy?

  10. CAN'T FIX IT Says:

GO BUC’S LET GOES,, THAT ARE PLAYIN’ WITH OTHER TEAMS, LOVIE SUCK , FIRE LOVIE !!!!!!! THIS TEAM WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO NOTHING AS LONG AS LOVIE IS THE HEAD COACH !!!

  11. orlbucfan Says:

    Hey Joe,
I watched some of the Stinkcats-Giants/jokes game and the Chicago whatever. These are the final 2 opponents we have. We will win them even as beat up as we are, and god forbid(!), Lovie will be the HC on the sideline. Stinkcats’ center came out injured. Cam came out not quite 100% at game’s end, too. Give me a friggin’ break: NFC LEAST! Midgets almost beat the Stinkcats. Midgets’ HC needs to retire. He ain’t what he was when he coached the Jags. Go Bucs!!

  12. godzilla13 Says:

So Joey Iosefa started for the New England Patriots today. Iosefa was not good enough for the Buccaneers but plenty good for the Patriots? If we did not have a need at RB why didn’t we draft a DE or a Safety? From the outside looking in, it kinda looks like we just gave the Patriots our 7th round draft pick? Same goes for our 6th round pick. Here you go Baltimore, go ahead, take our sixth rounder, we have a whole bunch of WR’s? Only difference is we have a need for WR and kick returner. Sixth round pick Kaelin Clay is averaging 14.5 yards per return for the Ravens and had one for 82 yards and a TD. Clay returned six kick-offs today for 153 yards. The way this team is playing we need to make all our draft picks count. Out with the old and in with the new.

  13. Buccfan37 Says:

Do the Bucs match that level of production with other teams castoffs? I didnt think so.

  14. The original "Kevin" Says:

We cant see talent when we have it, and even if we do see it we cannot utilize it. Broken record bucs!

  15. J.R. Says:

Joe,when is the article of getting Martin the rushing title being the top priority since we’ve been eliminated from playoffs coming?

  16. Rrsrq Says:

    D. J. Swearinger headed to playoffs with the Cards, smdh

  17. Clodhopper Says:

This is why I don’t think Martin is coming back. Licht comes from the Belichick tree. Look how Belichick uses running backs. He can get your grandma to be a serviceable back. Hopefully Licht realizes Lovie ain’t Belichick and signs Martin because Martin ain’t just your average running back

  18. ndog Says:

    McCoy sucks!

  19. dave Says:

drives me absolutely crazy seeing another ex buc succeeding on another team. happens way to often. lets get rid of lovie. the cover 2 is way to easy to pick apart without an effective 4 man rush.

  20. Dave Says:

This is irrelevant. Everyone’s roster has scrap from others. So what

  21. Dave Says:

    “dave”
    They aren’t “succeeding”.
They played a little today, nothing more.
What Ex-Buc is “succeeding” on another team besides Talib?
I don’t count Talib because he needed to go regardless.

  22. Trubucfan22 Says:

This only shows that the patriots have been dealing with a lot of injuries. Im not enraged a former buc found a place to work. Rhay’s great news for those players. For the bucs, we have a stable of running backs i wouldnt change one bit. And LJ at CB might be better than Mike Jenkins, but he is still not star. We arent missing out on anything. Those 2 and any other former buc should be wished well and if they excell, all the better. Bucs saw something in them for them to sign them. It didnt pan out. Sometimes players dont fit schemes or have a different skill set than what they want. It doesn’t mean the player is useless altogether.

I think the one type of article that bugs me the most about JBF, is this type of article. I enjoy reading about formers doing well in ither places. But then you have joe and other commenters acting like we dropped some super star and that we cant evaluate talent. When the reality is, yes we can. That player was with the bucs. So we obviously evaluated their talent enough to bring them here. But either they didnt fit the scheme, didnt fit on the roster, or weren’t as good as we thought they were. It isnt a slight on the bucs or the player or the new team. Sometimes it just doesnt work out. Joey was brought in to compete for the FB spot. He lost. What else would you want from the bucs?

  23. Dave Says:

    On a different note,
Did you all watch Norman absolutely own ODB?
And ODB could not handle it and acted like an absolute Whiney bitchy punk.
He should have need ejected. 3 PFs. And the body lunch helmet to helmet … I’d be shocked if he isn’t suspended a game.
I was rooting for Carolina to beat their ass.

  24. WalkdaPlank Says:

They were both acting like punks.

Hope Evans tears Norman a new one in two weeks. Would love to spoil the Panthers perfect season and watch Cam get all whiney.

  25. NJBucsFan Says:

Hmmm…maximizing the talents of the players you. What a novel coaching idea….nah will never work. I’ll just keep pounding my antiquated system down everyone’s throats because I was an assistant here 10 years ago when it actually worked.

  26. Upthegut Says:

Licht is drafting talent but Lovie can’t figure out how to use it and runs them off.
    Time to run Lovie off!

  27. dave Says:

how about bennett, blount, even people like iosefa, L johnson, casillas in ny is flying around. revis, talib? are examples of the top of my dome. it just seems like we let soo much talent go and they play well for other teams. i’m sure im over exaggerating but we couldve used some of the talent that others are using in pretty big roles for their new teams. thats succeeding to me

  28. dave Says:

i agree so much with the two commenters above me. watching this defense not be able to beat a backup qb once in 2 years, that i can remember, is so frustrating. we had every chance in the world for a playoff berth this year

  29. grafikdetail Says:

just show Licht & staff are finding talent before & after the draft

  30. Brad Says:

Iosefa trucked some safety and trampled him on one play. I was happy to see him get to play and do something, since he really never had a chance here. I remember everyone crying bitter tears when we drafted him, saying he was a wasted pick. Now he gets to play somewhere else and people are crying? I wish him well. Conversely I saw EJ Biggers get lit up vs the Cards. I felt a little sorry for Philly they had to play with him on the field. As for Swearinger w/ the Cards, he recovered a fumble. Could he really be that much worse than Conte? That guy is is more of a stationary obstacle in coverage than a cover guy.

  31. Pierce Says:

Remember they cheat. When you cheat you can a lot of players look better than they really are.

  32. Sumo Says:

When I saw this yesterday I was pissed. This guy is a really good running back and we SHOULD HAVE KEPT HIM! Why is it that Belicheat is smart enough to have a power back and nobody else has one? The lost art of power backs is getting overlooked in the new NFL and it’s pissing me off. Nothing better than watching tough men running the ball.
