Alstott, Moore, Sapp Will Coach Shrine Game
December 17th, 2015Bucs fans hungry for the glory days may want to attend the annual East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg next month.
Two big name ex-Bucs and one underrated tight end will be coaching one of the teams.
The East-West Shrine Game, an annual college all-star game for the best players not selected to the Senior Bowl, will be played at 4 p.m. at the Fruitdome on Jan. 23, and televised on NFL Network.
Among the assistant coaches on the East Squad will be Mike Alstott, Dave Moore and NFL Hall of Famer and Bucs Ring of Honor member Warren Sapp.
On a coaching staff led by Charlie Weis, the three ex-Bucs also will be joined by Bill Muir, the offensive line coach of Chucky’s staff that won it all in January 2003. Any man who coaches an offensive line on a Super Bowl-winning team with Kenyatta Walker as a starting right tackle knows what the hell he is doing.
Coaching is not new to Alstott and Moore. Alstott is the head coach at Northside Christian High School in St. Petersburg. Moore spent two seasons as head coach at Shorecrest Prep, also in St. Pete.
