Just the thought of wagering on the Breeders Crown on Saturday gives Joe goosebumps.

The harness racing classic conjures up memories of Joe’s youth, some of it heading to The Meadowlands as a teenager with his buddies on a school night. There the youngsters would wait in line to wager as they gazed at some of their high school teachers standing in other betting lines, bourbons in hand, pouring over programs and preparing to bet.

Man, the look on those teachers faces when they saw Joe and his friends staring at them. Priceless.

On Saturday, you can wager on the full Breeders Crown card at Derby Lane in St. Petersburg. Of course, live greyhound racing, poker and top-flight dining are the main attractions.
