Notice how there was diversity in the Bucs’ offense today?
Mike Evans wasn’t barraged repeatedly like a worn out carnival target. All of a sudden there was an underneath passing game. Adam Humphries looked like a real slot receiver.
Gone were the agonizing hours of defenses keying on Evans and disrespecting undrafted rookies Donteea Dye and Adam Humphries on the outside.
Joe asked America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, how much having Vincent Jackson finally back on the field opened up the offense and the underneath game. And Joe asked Jameis when he learned V-Jax would play.
Jameis had firm answers for Joe.
“You have a chance to just get your analysis of the game: We have Vincent Jackson back and you see the score on the board,” Jameis said. “That’s how much Vincent Jackson means to this team.
“Vincent comes to work like he’s going to play every week anyway. So last night, Coach Lovie said he was active. So we just said, ‘Let’s go Vince.'”

I don’t care if he is overpaid. I don’t even care if he asks for a raise. You do whatever it takes to make sure V-Jax is back next year, and maybe a couple years after that. He’s that big of a difference maker

The difference today began with Doug Martin….always a huge key to Buc offense success.
Having Vjax back opened up the entire passing game…
And…the Oline was very, very good!!!

I’m glad for VJAX. He’s nearing the end it would be great for him to go out on a winning note. By next year if he can stay healthy I believe we’ll be truly competitive, I mean in the playoffs and beyond.
This year we found a franchise QB…two starting OL..and a starting MLB.
Imagine if we do that for the defense next year. That would be a franchise DE and another complimentary DE also capable of starting. A great CB and it would be a draft to rival this years.

I love how some of the UDFA and other waiver pickups are playing…..Humphries, Brate, Jack Smith, Howard Jones…..
Next year we may actually have some very difficult roster decisions…..it’s about time!!!

His play on the field aside, JW brings something that this team needed in a bad way: leadership. Is it a mere coincidence that the team is now dramatically improving – and winning – just as Winston begins to consolidate his leadership role and become the face of the franchise, as he’s supposed to be? I don’t think so.
I’ve always preferred Winston over Mariota simply because Winston is more of a vocal leader. I strongly believe that the Bucs needed someone like him. His personally is infectious and we’re starting to really see it now. I don’t have anything against Mariota, I’m sure he’ll have a good career, but being soft spoken and “leading by example” is not what the Bucs need right now. We need Jameis and all that he brings, period.

Yes – ’87. I felt quite sure that Winston would be a top 10 QB in the NFL in due time before he ever even took a pre-season snap as a Buccaneer.
But I did not expect him to be playing at this level in his rookie year. The kid has been on fire the last 5 games. Throwing darts and bullets into tight windows and down the field with precision that Mariota can only dream of. Even in losses and with Evans as his only legit receiving weapon – you could see that Jameis has been playing at the level of the league’s top QBs since just after the Carolina game. He took that 4 turnover performance to heart and ever since has been very good at protecting the ball while still staying aggressive.

Tomorrow I will think about losing Kwon. But, today, I am enjoying this team win.
Imagine ASJ and Marpet back in action. The offense is smoking. Sims has been a great complement to Doug. Can’t be happier with the oline.
Imagine this team with a dominant DE and depth.

I disagree completely. It was Jameis vs LeBeau and LeBeau won. It was Mariota vs Lovie/Frazier and Mariota won. That should say quite a bit about our coaching stuff. I don’t care THAT much for Winston, hell, I’m a ‘Bama fan for life, but there’s really NO NEED whatsoever to put this kind of pressure on a rookie QB who got stuck with a BAD coach. So saying that it was all about Mariota vs Winston today doesn’t help at all.

@HawaiianBuc: I seriously doubt if VJax asks for a raise. Also the WR contracts around the league in the last 2-3 years put VJax in the above average range in terms of his salary. VJax is a good player and an even better leader/individual. He is like Hardy Nickerson of offense.

Kenny Bell may not be the answer nest year at WR1, WR2, or WR3.
Brate is picking up the pace and may become a threat to ASJ starting next year.
IF Brate proves to be durable and continues to contribute at a high level, ASJ may be our starting TE2 next season. ATC, he may last longer and still be able to contribute quality play with fewer snaps per game.
Humphries is looking good. Let’s hope he can survive playing in the slot.
The Bucs are becoming the team Lovie imagined they could become. Let’s hope they can continue their quest for the playoffs against the Colts.
Luck has taken some big hits (From an overall 94 to an 86) on Madden 16.
The defense is still worth cheering for despite a rare offense inspired BEAT DOWN of the Eagles.
Bradford, with all due respect to his injury status, was fortunate to not play in THIS game.
After Evens was speared in the back several Eagles players were carted off the field. The Bucs defensive motto: “Hurt 1 of ours and we destroy 3 of yours.”
After watching “The Hunting Ground” tonight on CNN. Quite a compelling hit job against Jameis, if you don’t mind the facts being twisted into an Orwellian nightmare. Oh Brother…!!!
