Gerald McCoy and Lavonte David were on the field the last time the Bucs played the Eagles and Chip Kelly, when Tampa Bay fans endured and absorbed one of the most punishing and stunning displays of football dominance.
Playing in Tampa in 2012, the Eagles had the ball with 8:03 remaining in the fourth quarter leading 28-20. Philly proceeded to run the ball 11 consecutive times up the gut of the Bucs’ defense — 11 in a row! — to set up the game-icing field goal with 2:34 on the clock.
That was the NFL’s No. 1-ranked run defense back then, and the Bucs now have the NFC best run defense, allowing just 3.6 yards per carry. Joe’s point is that Philly can beat a team all kinds of ways.
The Eagles’ offense also still cranks out a stunning number of plays, taking the game to defenses.
Yesterday on the Buccaneers Radio Network, Gerald McCoy said the Bucs’ Wednesday “practice was very, very, very fast-paced” in preparation.
“It might not be as fast as it has been in recent years,” McCoy said. “But they are definitely going no-huddle and up-tempo for sure.”
Joe isn’t too worried about the Bucs’ defense getting gassed. They’re very young, and the game’s weather forecast (45 degrees and sunny) should be ideal for keeping fresh legs. Hopefully, America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, and the Bucs’ offense can keep avoiding 3-and-outs like they’ve done wonderfully all season — and put some points up.

I think the Philly team is a bit over rated.
Don’t get me wrong it’s a very talented team but on what I have seen this season there is space for us to do a result.
It will surely not be easy but I firmly believe that the Bucs can win in Philly.
Call me crazy but we can do it.

You nailed it. The key is for the offense to sustain drives and capitalize on those drives with TD’s not field goals and that’ll offset that fast paced no huddle offense.

Bucs have the fewest three and outs in the league. Pretty sweet. Just need the QB to make quicker decisions in the red zone.

If we can get them to (2nd and 8+) and (3rd and 5+) then we can get really aggressive with our blitz packages. We got this!!!

The Bucs defense has to get off the field and the offense has to score TD’s at all cost no more field goals. Go for it on 4th down inside the 35.

Part of the problem is that Jameis doesn’t really have any red zone targets, minus Evans. We sorely miss Jackson, a lot more than most people realize. Even when Jackson doesn’t catch TD’s, he’s one helluva decoy. I’m not sure, but I think ASJ might be a good red zone target too, but he’s never on the field so I really don’t know.

We gotta score more down in that Red zone. We have no problems getting there. We just stall to much once we are there. This will be a great game.
Just hope the..Right Bucs defense shows up. We must get pressure on Sanchez. He still has an arm.
