If anyone wants to know who is leading the Buccaneers, let there be no doubt the locker room has been taken over by a young, charismatic quarterback from Alabama, but 21-years old.

And it happens to be America’s Quarterback, Bucs signal-caller Jameis Winston.

In the video below, Jameis gives an impassioned postgame speech to his teammates and Jameis can barely contain his excitement. In the background, Bucs coach Lovie Smith smiles like a proud papa.

Jameis even has Avi Glazer, brother of Buccaneers co-chairmen Bryan, Joel and Ed Glazer, roaring in approval.

Is it or even Mike Glennnon in the background is smiling ?

This was my main concern when we drafted him.

I tought he had some talents in him but I was not sure about his leadership.

And, oh man, how much I was wrong !

This guy is a real leader not only in language but also on the pitch.

He still has to improve but he is doing quite a season !

  13. Yungry Says:

I was dead wrong about JW! 10 Tds 9 ints isn’t that impressive but wins are more important… I’m so glad the Bucs have Jameis, he’s definitely a leader… I’ve never been happier to be wrong

Lets play a game.. match the quote to the area radio shock jock:

“The rah rah FSU Bullspit, aint gonna work in the NFL”

um, looks like he might have won the players, the coaches, the owners and most of the fans over.

Joe you’ve said it for a while, this kid is something special. Im no FSU fan, I’m an SEC guy who was rooting for Clemson this year. The flaws that he has are all fixable. The gifts that he has are very rare, not sure they are teachable.

  20. Joe Says:

Joe you’ve said it for a while, this kid is something special. Im no FSU fan, I’m an SEC guy who was rooting for Clemson this year. The flaws that he has are all fixable. The gifts that he has are very rare, not sure they are teachable.

Bingo. Joe’s written it before, but Jameis seems like the modern version of Magic Johnson.

  21. Hawaiian Buc Says:

If only we listened to the fans that swore Mariota would be a hall of famer and Winston would be JaMarcus Russell. Where are all the fans who were panicking after week 1? This is Exhibit A Wwhy I call people idiots after making stupid declarations after one bad game.

  22. Eric Says:

You know I watched Brady in that Giant game. He threw a really bad pick in the end zone, way behind the receiver on a crossing rout right into the arms of a defender. Then in the last drive he threw a total wounded duck down the middle right to a giant safety who proceeded to drop it.

Then he performed brilliantly the rest of the last drive and got the win.

Not comparing Jameis to Brady by any means, but just pointing out even the very best make some bad throws and have costly turnovers. But I will say that Jameis has the Brady mentality of not letting it get to him when he does screw up.

One heck of a trait to have in this league IMO.

  23. unbelievable Says:

That right there, is what this team has been missing for the last 5 – 6 years.

    A real, vocal leader.

  24. ChanEpic Says:

    LET’S GO – Indeed!

  25. Hawaiian Buc Says:

This team is growing each week. We are starting to learn how to win close games. We aren’t going to the playoffs (I don’t think), but we are clearly getting better. Cool thing is, we are incredibly banged up. We have literally one weapon on offense. I am guilty of giving up on Lovie too soon. This is a great example of giving some time to build a team. I don’t care what anyone says, he has done a good job overall this year. He’s not perfect and I still hate his conservative nature, but he’s got this team playing hard, and learning to win. Hopefully we can build on this and win a few in a row. That would be a nice feeling I think.

  26. cmurda Says:

Inexplicably, some of those fans still exist Hawaiian. I’m not even kidding. Nobody knows better than me that the emotions of the game can cause you to say things you don’t honestly mean but when I hear it after the game or the next day, I’m just dumbfounded.

  27. grafikdetail Says:

glad to see Winston is winning over the guys that were skeptical during this process… love Mariota and still wonder how’d he do in Tampa but having a good completion rate, passer rating or better stats doesn’t equal wins…which is the only stat that matters!

  28. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    @ Realist

“Was their inside information past??? Will Rod and Lovie hand over their phone”

You can’t even enjoy a victory without some sort of snide comment….and,
    by the way it’s “passed”……

I think you should change your moniker to the Buc Pessimist…..

  29. Eric Says:

    And about that fumble.

The kid was busting his ass trying to get the score.

    Ill take that effort anytime.

  30. Gaytor Bait Says:

@tmew best post by far. All the bullspit rah rah stuff LOL. Thank you… That really made me laugh. I specifically rembering Big Puppy saying that over the air waves. Proved HIM wrong. And many others along the way. Sit back and enjoy the ride Bucs fan. This is going to be fun 😉

  31. GhostofSchiano Says:

I’m officially stating that I was wrong about Lovie.Go Bucs

  32. Architek Says:

    Is Jenkins gone yet?

  33. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    And on to the Beagles.

  34. Tampabaybucfan Says:

The Glazers simply aren’t going to fire Loviee Smith.

If this defense played anywhere close to this….we would be 7-2….

We are competitive even with the weaknesses and penalties.

I’m not totally sold on Lovie….but the Glazers likely are.

Joe says 6 wins……I think he is retained regardless….as long as we are competitive and he has the locker room.

  35. CC Says:

Jameis continually had to bring us out of the shadow of our own endzone. We had terrible field position most of the game. Never went 3 n out when we were backed up. He flipped the field effectively. Those drives may have stalled but punting out of our own endzone would have killed us. Great job of moving the offense.

  36. Joe Says:

I’m not totally sold on Lovie….but the Glazers likely are.

Been writing this for a couple of weeks: Pretty sure Jameis saves Lovie’s job.

Six wins and Lovie is a lock to return.

  37. Yungry Says:

@ Hawaiian are u stupid? Mariota has way better numbers than Jameis! I am happy we have JW but compare the 2 because numbers don’t lie! You will lose every time homie

  38. CreamsicleBananaHammock Says:

CC, you are absolutely correct about that

I think 3 drives started inside our 10 yard line and all 3 ended up being extended drives…granted they weren’t finished off but that will come with time

  39. Tampabaybucfan Says:

You don’t need to put Mariota down to build up Jameis or vice-versa…..actually, I think both QBs will be very good NFL QBs.

I am quite certain now that Jameis is more suited for the Bucs because he will lead us out of a losing mentality…..

  40. Buccfan37 Says:

I just heard Jameis on a radio clip in the postgame locker room yell we’re going to win all 7 of these games. Pump them up!

  41. Patrick in VA Says:

@Yungry – Are you watching the games? Are you new to following the team?

Have you not been seeing the numerous drops that are hitting receivers right in the numbers? Have you not seen that he’s playing with scout team receivers? Did you factor in that the majority of those numbers that Mariota have came from the Bucs game where we let him do whatever he wanted? Get real dude. Jameis even has more rushing TDs than Mariota. How about those numbers.

  42. grafikdetail Says:

Jameis also has more WINS than Marcus the ONLY number that will save your coach or get your coach fired… is Ken Whisenhunt still coaching in Tennessee?

  43. Yungry Says:

Omg more rushing tds? Are u serious? Is that a qb job? You people make it hard to root for Jameis even though completion percentage and qb rating are not in your favor! Marcus hasn’t disappointed anymore than Jameis. LmaO jW is great and I’m happy but if u people want to knock Marcus I suggest you research numbers first

  44. Yungry Says:

Mr. Detail, is football a 1 man sport like golf? Ok wins and losses involve 22 starting players not 1. You must be stupid… It’s a team sport

  45. Yungry Says:

Is football a 1 man sport? It’s not golf genius… 21 other starters are on the field too, your argument has been dismissed

  46. Johnny "America's Commenter" Dejay Says:

Did Jameis just challenge the team to go 7-0 down the stretch?!?!?!? That’s incredible, but I think the Bucs believe in him enough to pull it off. Imagine how stoked this town would be if they finished 11-5 (or even 10-6) and made the playoffs. I’m wondering which highway they would rename in his honor. The Jameis Winston Skyway bridge?

  47. Joe Says:

    because numbers don’t lie!

    Oooohhhh, yes they can!

  48. Yungry Says:

Opinions are subjective and numbers are objective

  49. TAC Says:

Who knows what would have happened with Mariotta here, that is the problem with all the speculation. It just doesn’t matter. There are so many things involved in QB development. There is a long way to go, but the early results are nothing to be concerned with.

I still can’t believe the great job they have all done so far with JW, Coaches, Veteran Olineman, the entire organization, and not the least Winston himself.

I guess the MM nut swingers will always be around, and do realize he is a good QB also, but nobody knows if he would have found the same success here that he apparently has with the Titans.

Think David Carr, and countless other organization failures in the past.

  50. Tiny Tim Says:

Yungry I told you before, this is not the Titans webpage. Go over there and root for the no pumping up his teammates Mariota. We have a leader that regardless of the stats has his team feeling they have a chance. I don’t think that feeling is in the Titan’s lockerroom. Why? Because #3 plays for the bucs!!!! In the words of Tkras…………GET OUT OF HERE!!!!!

  51. Howard Cosell Says:

Howard is tearing up after watching that video.

  52. Yungry Says:

@lil Timmy, u told u before I am happy with Winston! I’ve never been happier to be wrong. But if u think Jameis is better than Marcus, I suggest you research your opinion. Again, I think he is the ultimate leader but I’m very content.😎

  53. Joe Says:

Opinions are subjective and numbers are objective

Joe learned in high school you can twist stats in any way to reinforce whatever opinion one has.

In some circles, it is called “spinning.”

  54. Yungry Says:

What part are you not understanding? I’m sOO happy we got Winston.but, if u want to compare Winston vs Marcus… Go ahead, and tell me your reasoning… If not, stop editing my posts and understand that it’s irrelevant. I’m a Bucs fan all day! But Marcus stastically is better and there is no denying this unless ur in denial lol…

    ———————-

Well if he is the ultimate leader like you stated and the skills are the same, then Jameis must be better based on the fact you call him the ultimate leader. That’s the edge correct? Where are the stories of Mariota infusing the lockerroom? Why are you so stuck on defending Mariota? Because you are a mariota lover. I suggest you go be a titans fan because you gonna have a tough time here trying to defend a player that does not even play here whenever a poster brings up the non verbal QB. Winston was #1 for a reason and in the word of your GM, it wasn’t even close. Deal with it Mariota lover

  56. Brent Says:

I like jw too but cmon 10-9 isn’t great.. What’s Marietta? Prob as good or better stats wise. I do like him. I figured draft we’d get a good player either way. But give me a break the defense won the game. Jamie’s easily could have had 3 picks and a fumble. Ease up on the hyperbole. Damn.

  57. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ The Real Buc Fans

We still have Mariota lovers and Mariota jock huggers on this site just waiting in the weeds for Winston to mess up. The problem is, Winston can have a bad game, but the team’s mentality is changing and understanding you can still win if one of your superstars have an off night. Be prepared, they will tell you the team won inspite of Winston all while neglecting the fact that it’s Winston’s attitude and fight that is fueling this team. Do not be fooled by posters like Yungry who say they are a Winston fan now, but yet are defending another qb to the death. Watch those snakes aka Mariota lovers. You will know them when you see/read them. They look/write like Yungry.

  58. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Yungry,

So since I’m stupid because I believe my eyes more than I believe numbers, I guess Kapernick is a better QB than Cam Newton, because he has better numbers. You are probably a huge fantasy football guy, which 9 times out 10 are the worst people to discuss football with. Numbers are usually misleading. Jameis doesn’t throw a bunch of screens and slants like Mariota does. He’s making big boy NFL throws to a lot of undrafted rookies. He’s converting on third downs (which is probably the best way to judge a QB). He’s winning games at the end. He’s doing more with less. He’s not going to have a high completion percentage in our offense, much the same as Cam isn’t. That’s all irrelevant if he is making the big plays.

I don’t know why you are so protective of Mariota. We aren’t Titans fans. I think he’ll be a decent QB,but have you heard any rumblings out of Tennessee that he is leading his team? Have you seen his teammates rallying behind him? Do you know how many times he has fumbled the football (which was a huge problem for him in college as well)? Yeah, he can throw the hell out of a slant off of read option. He throws an incredible screen pass too. He’s pinpoint accurate under 10 yards. But since you like stats so much, did you know he has the lowest completion percentage in the league of passes over 20 yards? Guess who is second in the league? I’ll give you a hint – he’s the QB of the team most of us cheer for on this site. Now who is stupid?

  59. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Brent,

Get off of stats!!! Trust your eyes. Trust the results. Stop playing stupid fantasy football. I swear that crap is killing brain cells of football fans!!! It’s beyond ridiculous. Matthew Stafford threw for 5000 yards. Do you want him on our team? This game is about more than stats, and stats can be spun all over the place. Trust your eyes more, because it’s very obvious who is the better QB (as of right now. It could always change).

  60. Yungry Says:

    U mad bro???

  61. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ The Real Buc Fans

See what I am saying? You see the poster Brent talking coulda woulda shoulda as it relates to Winston? I am not sure how many games he has seen of Mariota. But there are a lot of coulda woulda shoulda there as well but no mention of that. You see how he neglects the fact that the defense is playing better probably because they now have a better grasp of the scheme, but also because they feel like they can win with him at Qb. You hear the olineman saying we love blocking for this guy. Why? Because there is a belief they have in him and his work ethic. Yet, we will have Mariota lovers like Brent saying coulda woulda shoulda. Watch those snakes!!!

  62. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    “U mad bro???”

    ——-

Not at all. I’m thrilled. My team won yesterday.

  63. Yungry Says:

My team won! I’m happy! FU 2 da haters yup

  64. Brent Says:

Cmon Hawaiian don’t jump over the edge with this “stats are overrated”. You can tell a lot about a qb by his completion pct and his td to picks stat. It’s no coincidence the best qbs have the best stats: Rogers Peyton Bree’s luck. It’s undeniable. Eyes matter too but jw is getting to much hyperbole. He was mediocre yesterday. The defense and referees bailed us out. I like jameis and agree with you on his leadership skills but so far he get a b grade. He’ll be a good to solid qb. That’s what I see. Haven’t watched much Marietta but he looks good too.

  65. Brent Says:

Yungry silly stuff. Jw is my qb but I’m objective. I can’t get my Pom poms and lie. Jw is good I liked the pick. He’ll be good not great franchise qb. my prediction. Hope he’s great though. Oh yeah, I could careless about Titans. Mariotta looks good too. Just keepin it real.

    —————————–

Really? So when Jameis went 19 -36 and 0 TDs against the Giants you could tell that there were 9 drops in that game with two being potential TDs? You could tell that when Mariota threw 4 TD against the saints, you could see the two potential INTs that could have taken place negating two of the TDs? No you could not see that in a stat and that’s why Koetter said the eyeball test. Hey buc fans, watch those snakes!!!

  68. Buc since '74 Says:

Anyone out there who didn’t see this fire and leadership in Jameis simply did not do his/her homework!! This is what Jameis brings every game, everyday all day long and is what us FSU fans were talking about and excited about all this time. Welcome to the party everybody else!

Mariota in similar locker room celebration… “um, hi everyone, um, I’m Marcus, um goo… good um job. thanks.”

  69. Yungry Says:

@ Brent, you’re right… Jameis is my QB. He is the ultimate leader. But these people who think he is light years better than MM need to stfu.,. Their delusional mindset doesn’t back facts… Prove what u say if not take a seat

  70. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Yungry,

How many Mariota games have you seen start to finish? Are you going to tell me you record Tennesse games? Although it wouldn’t surprise me, I doubt you’d admit it.

  71. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Brent,

No the best QB’s don’t always have the best stats. Why is Cam Newton a legit MVP candidate then? You go ahead and figure that one out and get back to me.

  72. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Yungry and Brent,

How did your fantasy football teams do this weekend?

  73. Brent Says:

@yungry I said jw is my qb not yours? @ tiny Tim agreed with your post. How does that disprove mine? I said some stats matter as do eyes. Both not one or the other. Jw playing well without receivers. You think it’s magic the best qbs have the best stats? Rodgers Bree’s Peyton Brady etc..

  74. Brent Says:

@ Hawaiian if say can does have great stats if you factor in rushing Tds and rushing yards. He’s had some dog years though. Not just stats. Wins losses.

  75. Yungry Says:

If I’m so crazy for wanting MM in the draft… Please explain why he has better numbers? Maybe, because u aren’t scout material lil boy… Keep doing homework homie

  76. Defense Rules Says:

What’s with you guys? Bickering over who is better … Winston or Mariota. Really? That wouldn’t even be important in Fantasy Football.

Let’s see. We just had a great Bucball win yesterday … 10-6 against the stinkin’ Cowboys. Jameis deserves some of the credit for sure … Mariota, not so much.

And the title of Joe’s article is what? “Defense, You Kicked Their @#$!” When exactly did Mariota start playing defense for us?

  77. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ Brent,

You mentioned Brees etc., but I would venture to say that Big Ben is just as good a QB as Brees and his stats are no where near as high as Brees. Why? Because the eyeball test and the fact that the saints play in a more pass happy offense which would mean Brees stats would be higher, but Big Ben is just as effective if not more. Big Ben is clutch as well. Being clutch means more to me than stats. So no, I do not let stats do that much talking at all. In the words of Koetter, the eyeball test.

  78. Yungry Says:

Stop with the Jw/mm comparisons people! Our qb is Jameis! We just won And we have a true leader… Let’s celebrate

  79. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“If I’m so crazy for wanting MM in the draft… Please explain why he has better numbers?”

    ———-

    There’s no fixing stupid.

  80. Jena W Says:

FYI Guys DON’T FEED THE TROLLS or the Mariota lovers! lol

if you ignore them, eventually they will go away. they like attention and only play where they get it.

the bottom line is, on this site REAL BUCS FANS don’t give a crap what Mariota is or is not doing, unless they’re playing the Titans!

    Go Jameis! Go Bucs!

  81. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’m going to try to make this real simple for the stat geeks. All TD’s and picks are not created equal. A pick 6 is much worse than a deflected pass in the red zone. A TD late in the game is more important than a TD in garbage time. A high completion percentage on third down is more important than a completion percentage on first down. one completion for 20 yards is more important than 2 for 6 yards. And last but definitely not least, a win is more important than a loss.

Would you say that Jameis throws more difficult throws than Mariota? Wouldn’t you say a 10 yard out route is a tougher throw than a 3 yard slant? I would. How many times has Winston made a third and long conversion to a guy well covered, while under pressure? I would say many more times than Mariota. Those are the things that make a QB valuable, not quick easy throws that rack up numbers. When a QB throws a deep pass and pass interference is called, those yards and that completion don’t show up in the stats.

  82. Yungry Says:

You’re right there is no fixing stupid! I wanted the ab with the better stats and wanted the other lmaO.

  83. Yungry Says:

I’ll bill you for my schooling fees homie.. It’s been fun, the better stats is the better player. You can argue and cry all u want. Stats speak louder than words… U mad bro?

  84. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Why would I be mad? Clowns make me happy.

  85. Brent Says:

Good post Hawaiian. You pointed out some nuances there. Now can you name a good qb who has thrown more picks than Tds while at the same time has a completion below 60%. Answer no cause they’d suck. Stats not irrelevant. Tiny Tim Big Ben has great stats too.

  86. Tiny Tim Says:

    @ Hawaiian Buc

You didn’t know that Karl Malone was better than Tim Duncan because he has more pts and rebs than Duncan? I mean the stats says he is better.

  87. Tiny Tim Says:

    Brent Says:

    November 16th, 2015 at 4:29 pm

Stats not irrelevant. Tiny Tim Big Ben has great stats too.

    ———————

No where near as good as Brees. He has never thrown for 5,000 yards and only thrown 30+ TDs twice (32 TD to be exact) which validates my point and not yours.

  88. Brent Says:

@ Jena who are these Marietta fans. Am I a pats fan if I say Brady is a helluva qb. To be a Bucs fan you have to hate Marietta and say he sucks? Irrational imo

  89. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Brent,

First of all, Winston doesn’t have more picks than TD’s. If you haven’t noticed, he had 4 straight games without a turnover until yesterday.

I never said stats are irrelevant. They are, however, very misleading at times. You can’t judge who is better strictly by stats. Now if Mariota was 20 TD’s to 1 pick, then maybe you can say he’s playing fantastic. But he isn’t, and he’s not. They are losing games, and if he was playing as great as you apparently think he is, they wouldn’t be 2-7 and without their head coach. He’s playing decent for a rookie, but his numbers are a bit inflated, as they were in college. I know this because I don’t think I missed more than a game each year. Oregon is pretty big in Hawaii if you didn’t know. He doesn’t protect the football, and he is terrible on third and long. His entire game is predicted on having the defense scared of his running ability. If you make him sit back in the pocket on obvious passing downs, he’s average at best (in college). A huge percentage of his games were blowouts, and he usually lost the close games. Do you know of any 4th quarter comebacks in his career? I’m not saying all this to trash Mariota (I actually root for the guy because he’s from Hawaii), but it’s what I have seen as an objective fan who wanted the best QB. From what I’ve seen so far this year, I still feel the same way.

Winston makes the tough throws, and when they count. That’s more important to me than stats. Did you see the throw to Humphries on third down in the third quarter? He was blanketed, but Winston got the ball to him somehow. Did you see the comeback route he threw to Evans on third down, with the defender draped all over him? Did you see the throw to Myers late in the game, as he got lit up? I’ll take those all day over some inflated stats. When the game is on the line, you go ahead and take your Mariota and his stats. I’ll stick with #3.

  90. Hawaiian Buc Says:

We aren’t saying Mariota sucks, but you are saying he’s better than Winston based SOLELY on stats. That’s as irrational as irrational can be. Watch the games and let me know who you would rather have as our QB. If the answer is Winston, then why continue to argue for Mariota? If the answer is Mariota, then go back to your fantasy draft.

  91. Newbucsfan2 Says:

No where near as good as Brees. He has never thrown for 5,000 yards and only thrown 30+ TDs twice (32 TD to be exact) which validates my point and not yours.

Didn’t we beat Drew and company this year. I’ll take that any day over stat numbers.

  92. Hawaiian Buc Says:

How many times has Russell Wilson thrown for 4000 yards? I guess he’s terrible too. Funny thing is, most people I know that do fantasy football think he is a terrible QB. This is the very reason why I absolutely refuse to play fantasy football. I rarely even look at stats. You don’t need to see stats to see if a guy can play.

You are correct but as you can see there are those that think the QB with the best stats is the better player.

  94. Buc1987 Says:

Mariota’s name should be forever banned from this site!

  95. Buc1987 Says:

The good part about JBF is if I’m away from the computer for awhile. I can count on HB to swat the flies for me.

  96. ManzielMadness Says:

I still can’t understand how people thing QBR is reliable…. Any stat that tells me Tyrod Taylor is better than Aaron Rodgers and that Brian Hoyer is a top ten 10 QB just makes me laugh

  97. Bobby Says:

@ Yungry….dude, let it go. You think Mariotta is the better of the two QB’s because of stats?? Seriously??!? Mariotta is a good QB and will probably remain a good QB for his entire career if he stays healthy. Jameis is going to be a ‘great’ QB and is a natural born leader. He is one of those rare QB’s who will inspire men to play to their potential and more importantly to never stop believing, regardless of the score. He is like Bret Favre from the standpoint that he will make mistakes because he believes he can do things that may not be wise in a given situation and it will cost him an interception but he will more than make up for it with the good things he does and that belief in his abilities will pay huge dividends. There are lots of good QB’s in the NFL that have ‘stats’ and then there are the great ones who just win and don’t care if it’s ugly. In crunch time, they just deliver. We have a future ‘great’ one in my opinion. He’s already a great leader and his game will catch up.

  98. ManzielMadness Says:

  99. James Walker Says:

    QBR does not count “clutch”.

  100. Brent Says:

@ Hawaiin I didn’t say Mariota better I’m saying he’s comparable. I haven’t watched him much. Think it’s funny how people slander him because he was a possible pick. To say Marietta isn’t a good prospect is silly. Jw my guy he’s a buc. Bucs only team I care about. My point was hyperbole with jw getting funny. We won because of our defense yesterday. Jw is a good rookie and looks to be a good qb soon. But he’s not there yet imo

  101. Buc1987 Says:

Bobby very well said. While watching that video keep in my this kid is only a 21 yr rookie….

As for the remaining MGM….what would Mike say after the game? Good game guys have a nice night.

  102. Terry Says:

    ALABAMA?

  103. Bucszilla Says:

Mariota has such a tight beautiful smooth release. He throws one of the best check downs on 3rd and long that I’ve ever seen. 3rd 10 he will find the 5 yard check down every time no matter score or situation. That fool Winston competes and goes for it. It’s like Winston doesn’t understand the purpose of the game, to have the best QBR possible.

  104. Buc1987 Says:

tickrdr …that MGM mention was for you ya know..lol

  105. ManzielMadness Says:

I try not to get to vocal in the MM v JW debate, really could care less about MM, but of the two games I’ve seen him play(against the bucs and dolphins during our bye week) he’s looked like a MG8 who can run and fumble…

  106. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Nobody is slandering Mariota. I said those who were screaming for him and declaring him the better quarterback. So many had him being the next JaMarcus. The ignorance of fans like that blows my mind.

  107. Buc53 Says:

    Yungry:

You’re missing the point—no one wants you here.

Now as far as MM vs JW, the biggest difference aside from W/L record and leadership intangibles that have been on full display from Winston and invisible from Mariota (have you seen even one of his teammates speak about his leadership?)—Winston is completing passes that the Titans won’t even let Mariota attempt. Malarkey admitted as much in an interview on Sirius this week–he said that they tailored the offense closer to what he did at Oregon and that they put him in low risk positions until he gets more experience. That hasn’t been the case with Winston–he learned the entire playbook and is using it.

That’s the difference, and if you watch both the Bucs game and the Titans game, you would see that.

It’s apparent to any moron–even you.

If only we listened to the fans that swore Mariota would be a hall of famer and Winston would be JaMarcus Russell. Where are all the fans who were panicking after week 1? This is Exhibit A Wwhy I call people idiots after making stupid declarations after one bad game.

mariota is still a nasty player and to be honest who is his rb , wrs , oline ? wait till that guy gets a playmaker only knock on him to me is he dont play so good without lead outside of the saints game. but there d is pretty good so wondering why 2 wins is all they got , now our Jameis Winston Churchill has won games and lost some with a pooris defense in the 2nd half of every game not against the cowboys

worst thing about bucs fan fourms is if qb in his first game thows 1 pic he is a bust fire him ,,,, if a coach has gets rid of revis he is not a head coach fire him (revis gotta be mosts reason) 1st quarter of a game if were down ppl like yungry are there to fire everyone

i say fire a kicker every week but mostly joking said it about barth after his only miss this year but i was mad 2 years in a row we didnt retain him so mostly jokes ,, if my team is 2-14every player on that tewam is still my dogs till there cut traded .
outside of greg shiano during the season ticket holder confrence saying he took over the laughing stock of the league i dont say chit about firing any one

any long time bucs fan knows how to lose with grace ,most of my childhood we lost and got so used to it i aint been as hotheaded as rest of these 2002s 2002s are new fans thinking we gonna win the sb every year till game 2

if your a 2002s YOUR FIRED
