Crossing-Route Vulnerable
November 6th, 2015We’ve already learned that the Giants have no pass rush and their defensive mindset is to not get killed too badly.
Now, a Giants icon looks specifically at how New York is vulnerable to the Bucs’ offensive strengths.
Superior Xs and Ox video here from Giants iconic linebacker Carl Banks. He looks at the Bucs’ running game and passing game to find out areas where they match up well against the Giants.
He talks a lot about how the Giants must focus on “assignment football” and communicate better in their secondary. Banks claims the Giants were burned too often by crossing routes and shows on film where the team isn’t talking pre-snap and receivers subsequently run free.
The video also has a great look at how early Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback, releases the football. And if Doug Martin’s brilliance doesn’t distract you, then check out Ali Marpet and Joe Hawley just dominating on the run play broken down.

Winston and his receivers should put up 300+ yards in this shootout. It should have been a 1 pm game with a burning sun and record high temps like we’ve been having.
