Redskins Outwitted GMC

Admits defense lost today’s game.
A distraught Bucs defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, class act that he is, held court with the fourth estate after today’s debacle, and was nearly speechless he was so unnerved.
“I don’t really have a lot to say about this one,” GMC mumbled, his voice barely audible.
“Offense won the game today. Offense won the game. This one, is on [the defense]. Offense did what they are supposed to do. They gave us 30; we gave up 31.”
Today was a day GMC wanted to forget for so many reasons. First, he had but two tackles, not to mention a costly roughing the passer penalty, which he explained was the result of “playing hard.” Still, GMC confessed he should know better than to find himself in such a pinch.
When asked if he was stunned at the Bucs blowing a 24-point lead, GMC whispered, “Yeah.”
As for not getting any sacks in the second half, GMC said, “I was moving around a lot trying to find one-on-ones, but [the Redskins offensive line] kept switching protections and sliding.”
With yet another gut-punching loss, GMC seemed as depressed as Bucs fans.
“It is like a broken record.”

Gerald McCoy is the equivalent in all ways to Mr. Lee Roy Selmon. What he can’t say is the truth: the refs killed the defense starting in the middle of the second quarter. He even thinks that, and the you-know-what will hit the fan. You guys know this. Hells bells, I didn’t even watch it on POX Sports. I listened to it on Bucs Radio. Go study the penalty stats. You call yourself an educated Bucs fan, and you’ll see what I’m raising cain about.
The Falcons better do their homework for next Sunday. Our OC used to work under Mike Smith. You can also count on the fact that GMC will be discussing stuff with Mr. Lavonte David. Hopefully, Lovie will do some homework, too. That includes studying the zebs.

So much for the so called “best” 3 technique in football. No pressure on that last drive. Imagine what Sapp and Co. would have done getting spotted 30 points by the offense. My how times have changed. Sapp and Co. only asked for 10 a game. These garbage MF’S need at least 40. You want to be the face of the franchise Geraldine? Then FUKN perform like it! Is it just me…or did we get called for every possible penalty…..I don’t think they had even one defensive holding or PI call.
And…..how in the heII does Evans get that OPI call?……he was simply moving the defenders hands off of him…..
We many reasons why we lost….but I think we really got screwed by the refs….
If you watched the game….we were up 24-0….had total momentum and Gholdsen gets called for kicking……BS

This man is our biggest problem. Jack Smith showed up. Jameus showed up, Evans showed up, Martin showed up, Simms showed up, but our highest paid player didn’t like so many times before. They only difference is this time there is no “we never got to play with the lead excuse” he and his busy the big dog can use. Ian Is going to ritzy him tomorrow but he shouldn’t add this is what he had been saying all along. McCoy is not a winner and his presence on this team does more bad than good. Just look at what he tells Jameis, “just enjoy your rookie year”, like it doesn’t matter if we win or lose. He might improve he the get a real leader in this defense but as THE leader he Is useless.

Tampabaybucfan, AMEN. I have been screaming about the refs all day. They killed us. Ain’t the first time in Bucs history either. Take it from an educated, die-hard Bucs fan for 36 years. If you check out my earlier post, I didn’t watch it on POX Sports. I listened to Bucs Radio. It’s a good thing I have low BP cos I was apoplectic by the half. Gene D and Dave M were almost speechless.
We beat the refs and the opposition; we go to the SB. That’s how it went down in 2002. Forget the bozos who own the team. Lovie has to get with it here.

Did anyone actually see the game the refs played… They did a heck of a job making a game of it….
Personally, I knew things were about to get bad when all the fake loser BUCS fans started showing up on the message board when we were up 24-0 and one good play by the skins and it was an onslaught of negativity… To those fans…. You guys got what you deserved and I wish all of you would go back to your sorry lives on Sundays vs dragging everyone down with your stupidity!!!!

The problem I have with the roughing the passer call is that the same thing happened to Winston twice earlier and there were no calls. The first was off a screen pass where the ball was long gone but the defender grabbed Winston and pulled him down to the ground pretty hard. The second looked exactly like the GMC penalty.
The refs are worse this year than I can remember and that is saying something when they were pretty darn dreadful in the first place.

I think I’m as distraught as GMC is. Been a Bucs fan for over 30 years and I can’t remember a more disheartening loss. The Redskins didn’t outwit GMC … they outwitted our whole defense. It let Kirk Cousins pass for over 80% (33/40) and 317 yds and 3 TDs. Same exact problems they’ve been having all year: short/intermediate passes to guys running wide open. Week after week it’s the same thing. When the same problems keep recurring each week, sooner or later you have to wonder if the coaches really know what they’re doing.

pointless to care right now. the key question is whether jameous is good enough to warrant the glazers to pay nfl top end of cap and coaching in hopes of fielding a team that will be profitable. we will need him to perform at this level against teams whose will has not been depleted by daniel snyder to have a better idea.

LVD was other worldly under Scianos d. He has been on a milk carton since Lovey took over. I thought the d was supposed to get better. This is the first time in a long time that I can say the offense was awesome and in no way cost us the game. That’s really bad for a defensive coach.

The win against the Aints was a fluke. The win against the Jaguars was a fluke. Lovie Smith, was a joke. Defense is supposed to be his specialty, enough said. Thankfully, the NBA season is about to start. Do yourself a favor and stop wasting money and time on a team that doesn’t deserve any attention. Hopefully the Glazer will get the hint and will finally do the right thing: fire Lovie and then step out of the way, allowing Licht, or someone else, to run this franchise, and that includes picking the next HC.

None of us “real fans” were expecting a super bowl.
We were expecting improvement, especially on defense.
The only improvement has been on offense. Winston is the real deal and Martin wants a new contract and most likely out of Tampa Bay.
These above improvements, Lovie has near nothing to do with.
Here’s what we know as facts:
– HIS defense is an embarrassment.
– HIS scheme has neutered Lavonte David.
– HIS FA moves have been a disaster.
– HIS team plays uninspired and without any swagger.
– HIS team continues to set records for futility.
– HIS in-game management has been too conservative and meek.
– HIS record as HC in Tampa is 4-18 for F**k’s sake!

I have another idea of what a real fan is. A real fan, in my humble opinion, is an individual that doesn’t settle for mediocrity. The Bucs of the last ten years, or even more, have been mediocre at best. Recently, this team is downright rotten. If you are happy with how things are going, then please, keep being a loyal fan and keep breeding mediocrity. The Glazer want just that anyway, people who will continue throwing money at them, even if the product on the field is an horrible one.

The thing about having a player like GMC that the opposing team schemes for is that it’s supposed to free up other players to get to the QB. We had 1 sack that turned into a defensive score. Other than that nobody was beating their 1 on 1 match ups. If GMC is getting double teamed then someone has to win their 1 on 1 and get to the QB. There’s 10 people in the entire NFL that have more sacks than GMC in spite of all the attention he gets. I hardly think he’s the problem. This isn’t a 1 man team.

I don’t remember Sapp or Selmon or any great defensive player we ever have joking around after an a** whooping like that. He should be ashamed and start looking at the demeanor and actions of the best defensive players in the hall of fame. None of them are friends with quarterbacks of the opposing teams!!!!!!!!!!
