Tim Jennings Says Knee Is “90, 95 Percent”
September 7th, 2015New Buccaneers cornerback Tim Jennings was in the locker room and all smiles today.
He’s happy to be back with his No. 1 head coach.
“He brought me to this player that I am today. Hopefully, he’ll kind of restore it. You know, get the fire back going,” Jennings said of Lovie Smith.
Jennings, 31, was cut from the Bears about 10 days ago. He was a Pro Bowler after the 2012 and 2013 season, but had a rough year last year with no picks. Next came offseason surgery to clean up his knee.”
“I wouldn’t say I have a lot of ways to go, but I’ll say it’s headed in the right direction,” Jennings said when Joe asked if he’s knee was 100 percent.
Jennings called the knee “90, 95 percent,” but then laughed off that nothing is totally right after 10 years in the NFL.
Jennings told Joe that he’s had a bit of a “love-hate” relationship with Lovie. They kept in touch sparingly the past couple of years, but it was an easy decision to re-join Lovie and the Bucs, despite other opportunities.

Someone explain to me how you let Tillman walk but you sign Jennings that just doesn’t make much sense to me.

Tillman still considers himself a starter and doesn’t want to move to safety. So who’s job would he take Verner’s or Banks?

Put it down now, Bucs and Panthers back to the NFC south #1 and 2 spots this year.

New
‘Nuff said. IMO let the best man win. Tillman is THE turnover machine I’d let him compete for either position but as I’m bias I’d give him Verners job. Last year he played like wet tissue paper.

Revis said the same thing. So we can expect 90% of the performance of a beat up 10yr NFL vet. Great!

All we need is Urlacher and Tommie Harris!

@Carl’s toe
and a time machine!!!
90% to 95% is that the same percentage that Lovie gifts a starting job to him?????

Really?!?! The Bucs wanted a damaged player who has lost the “fire” to play? How many ‘fires’ did this staff light up last year? The only fire I remember is the end-of-year bonfire that received 14 game tapes. Two of the games were so bad that they made extra copies to throw in.

Money seems to extinguish the “fire” in a lot of these players.

Jennings is backup depth….would you rather have Leonard Johnson or Myron Lewis?

Well we know Jennings must be brain dead!!! He’s talking about the WORST COACH IN NFL HISTORY!!!
How can Jennings possibly say…“He brought me to this player that I am today. Hopefully, he’ll kind of restore it. You know, get the fire back going,”
Too many head shots eh? How can a 2X pro bowler possibly believe that Lovie Smith has any coaching ability? I just don’t get it.

I imagine 90 or 95% probably translates to realistically a lower % in reality. Is there really anybody not banged up on Da Bucs?
