“You Really Don’t Get An Offseason”

Jameis Winston, America’s Quarterback, is reporting for his first NFL training camp tomorrow, but that’s a mere formality.
Young Jameis hasn’t stopped working. No, Jameis wasn’t spotted drunk on an inflatable duck this spring or summer.
Speaking at the Tampa Bay Rays game this afternoon at Tropicana Field, Jameis told WTSP-TV, Ch. 10 that down time isn’t in his job description.
“The thing about the offseason is you really don’t get an offseason,” Jameis said. “You got to continue to work, continue to prepare. I feel like I’ve got better.”
Dear Coach Lovie, just hand Jameis the damn ball, make him team captain and get out of Dirk Koetter’s way.

I hope our super duper video trainer is here or arrives soon. I’d love to see Jameis get plenty of time in that thing. He’ll learn NFL defenses and see just where he can force a pass and where he can’t.
He clearly has the talent it’s just a question of time and I think Koetter, the new video device, and plenty of reps in camp will have him ready sooner than many here are expecting.

“Pablo don’t get no “off-season”….there are avocados, strawberries, blueberries to harvest….yards that need mowing….roofs that need fixing…..and Pablo does table dancing many evenings (87 is a good client). Pablo doesn’t make $25mil either…..Pablo thinks Jameis should get some time off….Pablo isn’t a hard-a$$. Pablo is a very nice hard-working man!

At some point this season, Lovie is going to take the ball away from the offense so “His” defense can win/close the game. And when they lose because the defense gave it up, the only sad thing is that some of you around here will be shocked by it!!!

I agree w/ you Realist (pinch myself to make sure I’m awake). I am hope for the Bucs sake we either have to come from behind or we go up very big. Otherwise I could see that exact scenario where conservative Lovie doesn’t feel the need to score any more points.

Somebody posted on link on one of these articles and I Just read all the tweets sent out by galette gf. Lol is all I got to say. Tis life. Alledgely he signs for $7m on Tuesday. In the tweets he said something along the lines of “I’ll see you twice a year now”. Just keep stacking chips, the cream will rise to the top.

That’s a really good point rusty, how is Jameis gonna act when conservative lovie has him kneel the ball a minute and a half before halftime. Or when we’re up a field goal with 2 minutes left inin the game in the opponents red zone and he runs the ball 3x in a row. I just hope Koetter is making those decisions and not Lovie.

Y’all have to peep the method to Lovie’s madness. He tanked the season and intentionally kept the OC away so he could get Koetter. It was a risky move that I’m sure will work out great. Had he played Mike Glennon, we would not have had the #1 pick. And if we brought back the OC , we’d be stuck with him and his trash offense that had McCown starting. We will all love Love in February… MARK MY WORDS

Jon Gruden made some really bone headed moves and has never been able to evaluate talent and I guarantee you never called him stupid. Lovie desetves the criticsm. But, the group we all know too well, Dallas, Tmax especially, just seem to grasp for straws and blame Lovie mindlessly. No need to do that. Lovie made enough mistakes so why make things up?
