Is the path now clear to re-sign Da’Quan Bowers?
C.J. Wilson, the bottom-of-the-roster Bucs cornerback who blew important parts of his hand off celebrating July 4, is stepping away from football.
But Joe is more interested in who will replace Wilson on the roster.

It seems Wilson, 25, might try a comeback later this year, but for now he’s retired.
Does this open the door for the Bucs to re-sign Da’Quan Bowers, as Joe explained 10 days ago?
It’ll be interesting to see what direction the Bucs go with this open roster spot. Hey, it’s July, this is what qualifies as intriguing.

Hard to think of a DE who is not better than Daquan. Using that old Sam Wyche comedy device….Daquan may be injured and lacking talent, but at least he’s lazy and comes in out of shape.

@realist he blew off his index and middle finger. He literally would look like a ninja turtle playing football so a comeback wouldn’t be in his plans. Unless we want a freak show. Attorney says person in beach brawl video is not Junior Galette
Ralph Whalen, the attorney for Junior Galette, told Eyewitness Sports Director Doug Mouton that the person in the video is not Galette.
“The thing was posted earlier on the web site and they took it down because they were convinced it wasn’t Junior.
The Video has been posted for over 2yrs by the way (May 25th, 2013)

If Junior Galette has a long history of injury, he’ll be signed by Jason Licht, who has outright said that this year’s free agency is all him.
