Bucs Receivers In Top-25
July 9th, 2015Joe has consistently written that if there are NFL teams with a better one-two punch at wide receiver, if there are teams ahead of the Bucs on such a list, that list is damn short.
It is the season of lists, ad Andy Benoit of theMMQB.com is not above the rest. He weighs in with his thoughts on the Top-25 receivers in the NFL for the 2015 season.
Benoit may not be as high as Joe is on Vincent Jackson and Evans, but he does have both in his Top-25. Benoit lists Jackson as the No. 23 receiver in the NFL and has Evans placed at No. 20.
To see Benoit’s full list, scroll down on his Twitter timeline.
For those wondering, Benoit’s top five are Calvin Johnson, A.J. Green, Antonio Brown, Julio Jones and Dez Bryant.
Personally, Joe thinks Odell Beckham (No. 8), while a world class talent, is living a bit too much on one sick catch and of course, working under the klieglights of Gotham.

20 ends in that league better than Mike Evans please. In what realm?

I agree ODB needs to chill out! He is a speed receiver who already has hamstring issues, he will be gone in 5 years.

Don’t worry Nos Bos. Evans will get his due next yr. If we weren’t a joke of a team he would be higher.

Savage Mike!… PFFFFF! No question. He’s going to be an animal in the X position. Vjax will top 1000 yards again and pull coverage away from Savage Mike.

How heroes and saints are so quickly carved in stone is a question answered only in these blogs where people ignore the simple fact, we haven’t even played the first friggn game. Ooooops, forgot, Lovie’s got the whole deal under his control. Sometimes rabid enthusiasm should be treated like a dog, curbed.

@Joe
VJ and Evans are the top WR in the Nfl, when the game is out of hand and racking up garbage yards, when the game was out of hand by the second quarter and the other teams defense was in a soft zone/ prevent defenses!!!
Hopefully we will get to see these wr in real competitive game situations for 4 quarters this year!!!

No player on this team should be rated after a 2-14 performance. In my opinion they are all losers until they show otherwise.
July 9th, 2015 at 11:21 am
Mike Evans was targeted 116 times and caught 68 passes. You and I both know if a ball is any where near Evans he will make the catch 19 out of 20 times. So many of the passes from McClown were uncatchable. There were only three other WR with more than 12 TD. Mike Evans ranked #20? Someone like Jarvis Landry ranked in front of him? With Winston throwing to Evans this year the NFL is going to see just how dominant a WR he is. No one and I mean no one is better than Mike Evans in the red zone.
July 9th, 2015 at 11:36 am
Racking up garbage yards? Yes in a few games that was the case but there were many games that the score was close and defenses had to play aggressive against V-Jax and ME13. Go back and review the games last season and see the errors in your comment. Don’t make an oxymoron out of your screen name realist. I do however agree in t he hopes that we do not have any games this year where we are getting blown out by the half.

The Dynamic Duo.
Jackson’s Batman.
Evans is Boy Wonder.

@BFFL
I understand.

Evans is a legit bad-ass number one receiver. VJ is an awesome dude and makes some clutch catches, but has far too many drops and won’t be here forever. We still don’t have that number three receiver. We need that guy who can swap out with VJ on the outside and in the slot, and eventually step up and be our go-to number two.
We all better be rooting for Kenny Bell to be that guy.
July 9th, 2015 at 2:52 pm
Imagine this:
Evans, Vjax, mike the caveman Williams, Kenny bell.
Tim Wright, ASJ, Jermain Gresham. Oh boy, I’m living in lala land.
That’s too many weapons. We wouldn’t want that, plus Williams is a thug who can not be conntrolled (on or off the field if you catch my drift).

Big Kenny Bell and Marpet fan right here!

99…all I want to imagine right now is the O-line coming togethe.
If that happens it will be like the 4th of July EVERY Sunday for Bucs fans.
Fireworks galore.
Do you know what Jameis is going to do to NFL defenses if he has time to set up?

Shame on me for not posting the Hardy one.
July 9th, 2015 at 3:51 pm
Hardy is very dangerous and often angry. Yes! We need more of that!
July 9th, 2015 at 4:27 pm
WS99 Right on! We need this play after play after play.
“Hardy is very dangerous and often angry. Yes! We need more of that!”
Who do you think we currently have that can try to fill this lack of Defensive Attitude? It sure is great having Hardy Nickerson as our LB coach.
July 9th, 2015 at 5:42 pm
@Rusty
I tell you one thing. It won’t be #93 filling that void. LVD, THE BEAST, THE SILENT ASSASSIN, THE HAMMER will.
July 9th, 2015 at 5:58 pm
@Ray – you crack me up with that every single time.
@Rusty – the only player on our roster I see that has attitude is Mike Evans. He is dangerous and often angry. Everyone else just seem to be professionals. Penn used bring the nasty, I miss him. Foster had swagger – Woooo – chit even Clayborn was – focused man – oh and let’s not forget fan favorite Mark Barron although never angry was definitely dangerous for back n receivers.
I’m just happy we have a calmer gentler team now so we can stop being a laughingstock. Thanks Lovie and Thanks Obama!

Obama made America the laughingstock of the world!
No one in the world fears Obama…
July 9th, 2015 at 6:16 pm
And even less people fear Lovie.

LMFAO!!!!!
Pretty soon everyone is going to feel the wrath of Donald Trump!….. YOU’RE FIRED!!! LOL

Ive got high hopes for kenny bell but it would be nice to see the team get another monster to groom and have ready when jackson is ready to call it quits. I love the weapons we have on offense. It will be a shame if this team cant get anything accopmlished with the players and personel they currently have in place. The coaching staff are proven and we have top tier talent on this roster. There is no reason this team should not be in position for a wildcard spot. I will still be happy with 7 and 9 or 8 and 8 but my gut is telling me this is the year the tide starts to change for our Bucs!!!
