Josh Freeman Adopts Vincent Jackson Line

The last Buccaneers quarterback to have a remarkable season, Josh Freeman, is trying hard to shed his leaky, sleepy image while he lurks at the bottom of the Dolphins’ offseason roster.
Freeman talked to the Miami official website, and a story today revealed a humble Freeman explaining his “beginner’s mentality” approach to the game. It was a phrase he repeated multiple times.
That’s hardly a very common phrase, and it reminded Joe of the other quiet guy who used that exact lingo to counsel and mentor young Buccaneers. That would be Vincent Jackson.
It’s Jackson who takes all kinds of written notes in meetings and approaches practices with a stern focus on fundamentals.
As Freeman tries to rehabilitate his career, Joe wonders whether Freeman has sought counsel from guys like Jackson, Earnest Graham, Cadillac Williams, Davin Joseph and other elite-work-ethic Bucs he worked closely with in years past.
Joe wishes Freeman well.

I just hope he lasts long enough to make it to our pre-season game so we can watch our D tear him to shreds, making it a perfect time for the Dolphins to then cut him.

Bitter? Maybe. I dont like ex players who try to derail our season on his way out, specially if they sucked ass a majority of the time they were here. But you can continue planting your lips to his backside if you like.

Does anyone else think it’s kinda funny that the season after Freeman had all of his lateness issues the Bucs changed their uniform numbers to look like an alarm clock?

I’m pretty much with couch fan. The only way I could have sympathy towards Freeman would be if I were to find out some new information that we don’t already know. I know Schiano was a douche and I couldn’t stand him either, but that’s no excuse for what he did to our team. Schiano didn’t oversleep and miss meetings, Freeman did. If Freeman can’t handle Schiano’s tough ways, then he’s not a real QB anyway. You didn’t see any of the other players on our team do the same as Freeman. There better be a damn good reason for what happened, because nothing I’ve heard yet excuses what Freeman did while here.

If it weren’t for the drama and excitement from ex Buc losers (some winners)….we would probably be a bit bored this time of year…..how about an update on LGB…MW19…..and, of course….MYLEW!!!

A bit sad if there is truth that Freeman may have gotten derailed by the old llelo, but damned if I’m not a little bitter towards the guy for how he deliberately torpedoed a lot of careers (including his own) and helped cause one of the most drama filled Buc’s seasons ever (not in a good way). I do hope the guy straightens his life, but at the very least he owes his teammates from that season an apology.

Well I was taking a lot of heat in here during the summer of 2013 for being Freeman’s biggest supporter. I believed that he was going to light it up that season being it was his contract year and all. I got so sick of the Freeman bashing and defending him. I had my first ever season tickets that season, so I was pumped up for the season until I found JBF. They were bashing him left and right in here.
So I went to a preseason game. The night before I went to a party store and got a banner roll. I made a sign about 20 feet long that said “We Believe In Josh.” Then brought it to the game….

Freeman could not mentally stand the thought of competition when Schiano drafted Glennon, He was already at odds with Schiano. Freeman had a huge inflated ego, imo. His meltdown followed. I’m glad he is gone because I never liked his pick anyway.

Still pissed that London turf ended Graham’s career. The last time we made the playoffs, Earnest Graham was the key cog of the offense. And just like that, he was gone. Nice “home field advantage”

A certain local personality seems to be convinced that Schiano leaked Freemans info. Of course, no evidence of that has been made public so I find it hard to believe. I think this person just loves Freeman so by association, blames Schiano and hates his quarterback Glennon.
Loook, Im no fan of Schiano but Freeman is an adult. Football players, just like all of us, are responsible. If me or any of you over slept and missed a job related task, we would all be fired. Thats just the real world. Freeman gets no pass. Especially when he plays like garbage those first three games. I dont wana hear that bull spit how Schiano sabotaged Freemans career! Freeman did it him self! From late November 2012 to those first three weeks of 2013, Freeman sucked! He melted when a playoff berth was up for grabs! If he didnt play like spit, that Jets game wouldn’t have came down to a stupid penalty! Brees shouldnt have had the chance to shred Leonard J! So no I dont feel bad for Freeman! He ruined his own career and he let us down big time!

Freeman not only owes his teammates an explanation, he owes Bucs season tickets holders one too.
he ought to man up like Chris Carter did when he came out and told everyone to get o# Buddy Ryan’s back because the real reason Ryan cut him was because he was a coke head.
But that is what a real man does. We’re really not going to get that from a girly boy who likes to dress up like Michael Jackson.
