Strike!
June 18th, 2015Joe tries to be a punctual guy. Hates being late (for anything). And believe it or not, Joe plans things out.
So when the Bucs had their final minicamp practice scheduled for 10:30 a.m. today, Joe decided to take off way early. A combination of wanting to beat the dreadful morning clog of traffic on the southbound Suncoast Parkway combined with making sure Joe gets a decent seat in the media workroom, Joe had to hustle.
And it worked. Too well.
Joe got a prime seat and was ready to rock and roll. Just as he sat down a few moments after 9 a.m, Joe’s phone buzzed with a text. The Bucs just announced practice was canceled.
Well, [feces].
The Bucs decided to go bowling. And it seems Gerald McCoy is as good of a bowler as he is a defensive tackle, as Casey Phillips of Buccaneers.com Twittered out a video of GMC on the lanes.
Next up: training camp.
You know @Geraldini93 had a strike up his sleeve during @TBBuccaneers bowling pic.twitter.com/tsSMUmZCML

Hilarious Joe…..I’m late for everything.

Too bad we don’t pay all those thousands of dollars to watch them bowl. THEN we might be getting our money’s worth. We were only 2-14 last season….we don’t really need all that much practice. lol

Jb
Chill out, it’s summer time. It’s time to relax and have some fun. Our football season doesn’t really start until March anyway so we do have time to play around.

Mark it zero Gerald, or you’re entering a world of pain

How many times have told them, I don’t roll on Shabbos!

Joe hates being late?
Wonder if Duemig would agree 😛

Since he has a habit of picking players up off the ground after getting run over I was waiting for him to walk down the lane and pick the pins up one by one.

That rug really tied the room together.

They’re bowling in their dirty football undies. The whites.

Joe …any reason given for why they decided to ONLY practice 2 days instead of the 3?
I mean they must feel pretty good about next season if they can afford to take a day off, being they were 2-14 last season.
In other news the Dallas Cowboys practiced all 3 days…
June 18th, 2015 at 8:56 pm
Check that…..any GOOD reason as to why they skipped practicing?

As reported on NFL Network tonight, today was Family Day for the Cowboyss. They did little more than play toss and catch. The Patriots were told not even to bother coming in.
Alot of teams let their players have a day off or had an abbreviated day Of practice.

They have the next 6 weeks off. I don’t see why they need to have 6 weeks and 1 day off.
The Pats and Cowboys are playoff teams that can afford such leisure. This team has a long ways to go to reach their status. Hell if they were granted 4 days of mini camp this team needs to take all 4 days imo.
I guess others don’t see it that way….

Team bonding is the reason.
Apparently, coaches agree one can only get so much out of underwear football.
