Stanley Cup Ticket Or Buccaneers Tickets?
June 15th, 2015Right now on StubHub, you can score the worst seat in the Lightning house for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup (if necessary) for $648.09.
That’s the price of two full Buccaneers season tickets, and extra money to buy an America’s Quarterback t-shirt!
Joe, like many other fans, has read stories of Tampa Bay locals paying thousands for a Lightning playoff tickets. Even tens of thousands for a small group.
Joe gets the euphoria, but Joe sure hopes some come to their senses and don’t take out second mortgages if the Lightning gets to Game 7.
Blow $100 watching the Lightning at one of the many packed sports bars across the Bay area. Even drop $100 on shots for that table of six hotties at a corner table. But save your big money. Buy Bucs season tickets now and prepare to invest in where Jameis Winston should take this team.

The Lightning are not out of it yet, but congratulations on a fine season thus far. I know the team will be right back in the thick of the hunt once again next season with a great cast of players. Go Lightning!!

Sorry. I love the Bucs. But they are not hot right now. The Lightning seem to gave the moat local support, which isnt surprising considering the playoff run. Even the Rays and their crappy stadium are hotter, which is really surprising when you consider all the turn over last winter.
The Bucs need to win BAD. There hasnt been legit excitement around this team for far too long. Jameis is a nice start but they must win.

Going to a Lightning game is exciting from start to finish, great graphics on the huge scoreboards, pipe organs etc.
Going to a Bucs games results in heatstroke in the 95 degree heat, watching the replay on the sh!tty digital scoreboards that you can barely see and then the Bucs being out of most games by halftime is No Buenos.
Lightning al day every day

Why buy Bucs tickets when Lovie is 0-8 at home?

I’ll answer this question after tonight’s Lightning game. Please win Bolts

Mark it down……someday the Buccaneers will be the only game in town.
You’ll be able to get your baseball fix by going to a Tampa Yankees game.

Winning fixes everything.

Totally random here, but I wish that the Lightning (and Rays) would initiate the TAAAAAMPA……..BAAAAAAAY chants on their scoreboards like the bucs do
I just think that would be awesome if we made that our thing for all our teams

Im surprised they made it this far….lots of veteran talent on that Chicago team. But hopefully they get a win and force a game 7. Go Bolts!!!!!!

Big Irish. You may be right if you’re asserting that this “metro” is not able to support three franchises, but it can easily support two, especially if one of them is the Bucs.
It’s not just the individual ticket prices it’s the overall committment. Baseball is huge with 81 homes games…that’s an entire NHL season road and home! The NHL is only marginally better when you’re team is good and makes the playoffs.
I was privileged to see our game seven win because I had Lightning season tickets that year. My wife and I were just tired out after all the driving, parking, drinking, eating and late nights. Football is only a fraction number of those games. Each game therefore is more exciting because it’s more important…except for a game seven in the Stanley Cup!
The area has been supporting the Lightning since the Davidson group rescued the franchise and then the support was cemented by Vinik! Davidson was a very good owner…Vinik is simply the best owner in all of sports!
No Big Irish…the Rays are the odd guys out…baseball is just to slow..relies too much on tradition…absent in a young metro like us. Bob Dupuy of the MLB questioned as to whether this market could really support the MLB. Even if you put the stadium where it belongs…on top of Yankee Stadium across from RayJay…I doubt the team could really draw.

Putting the Rays in Tampa would be a start though StPeteBucsFan.

Question is irrelevant now.
