Lovie Irked By Turnovers

Lovie Smith was none too pleased with half-arsed ball security by his team’s offense today.
Simply put, the offense today — yes, in underwear football — looked sloppy. Interceptions, dropped passes, passes way off the mark. It was not pretty.
And, no, Josh McCown was nowhere to be found.
And you know who was peeved about the sloppy play? None other than defensive-minded Bucs coach Lovie Smith. For Smith, a turnover is no worse than stepping in a colony of red ants. So when he was asked about the offense after the final OTA practice of the offseason, Lovie didn’t mince words.
Saying the goal of the offense was clearly taking care of the ball, Lovie added, “We didn’t do that very well.”
For the even-keeled Lovie, that is tantamount to cussing out his team.
Joe isn’t worried. Why? It is June. It is underwear football. If the Bucs offense is sloppy with ball security in training camp, when the bullets are flying and folks have pads on, then Joe will begin to worry.

if the offense had a great day everyday I’d be extremely worried abou the defense that being said based on Joe’s observations it seems it was a bad day for the entire offense not just Glennon and Jameis. Lovie’s legendary defense should have the upper hand in most practices given the vast experience and such unquestionable expertise that Lovie posses. Not to mention a rookie qb and a career backup running the show.

Well at least we didn’t loss any games last years bc of ball security. We lost bc Lovie intentionally threw the season.

Joe who looked worse today winston or glennon if you had to choose one who would it be today? If the season started tomorrow who would you start against the titans?

Lovie is irked by turnovers? Well most Buc fans were/are irked by losing….. Hopefully we see less losing and offensive turnovers this fall….

Frankly, I expect plenty of mistakes. It will all take time to gel.
