Team Glazer Blesses Winston-Williams Marriage
May 13th, 2015The patriarch of this era of Buccaneers football, Malcom Glazer, is rarely quoted.
So Joe pays attention when the wisdom of the late Mr. Glazer is shared.
Joe was at the today’s induction unveiling for the Buccaneers Ring of Honor, when Mike Alstott and Doug Williams were revealed.
Bryan Glazer, a proud member of Team Glazer, was asked afterwards about the mentor-student relationship between Williams and America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston. (Read about their recent 90-minute session here.)
Glazer called it “important” and explained his father would have approved.
“My father always said, “‘If you want to know the road ahead, ask the man who’s been there,'” Glazer said. “He always told us that growing up. And this is a perfect example of that. This is a man who’s been there, done it, and now can educate someone much younger than him.”
Joe continues to like how Jameis is operating, displaying a humble yearning for greatness, one that somehow shines brighter than his cocky, confident persona.

“WE MISS U MALCOLM” Rest in Peace Sir
May 13th, 2015 at 3:47 pm
I’ll continue to say it. Bucs fans’ jaws will be on the floor in astonishment at how much better this offense will be with Jameis at the helm running Koetter’s plays.
How uniquely talented this kid is gets greatly diminished due to all of the immaturity talk.
Over/under for wins, for me at least, is 8.5. I’ll take the over at 9.

Thinking back to what the team was like before Malcolm took over. Man, the 80’s sucked to be a Bucs fan.

Didn’t know someone went in the Ring while they were still working.

Gene Deckerhoff will be there one day. I can still remember listening to Bucs games in my car as a kid. Man, what a voice!!

Instead of putting Malcom Glazer in the ring of honor, they should name the stadium or the field after him like they do in college. The ring of honor just seems like something that should be reserved for players. And I do realize they have a contract for the naming rights to the stadium with Raymond James, but maybe make it Malcom Glazer Field or something. Either way agree he should be recognized in some capacity.

we shall see if Doug was just a token or if they do 2 a year again. But Wilder has my vote with Glazer.

The Broncos have “Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium,” so why can’t we have “Raymond James Stadium at Malcolm Glazer Field?” – I like it!

The fact that Fameis father was a huge Doug Williams fan doesn’t hurt at all.
The regs here know I was a trade down guy…then a Mariota guy…then a Fameis guy then back to Mariota. LMAO
But I gotta go with Joe and the Winstonites on this one.
Joe continues to like how Jameis is operating, displaying a humble yearning for greatness, one that somehow shines brighter than his cocky, confident persona.
YES! As a doubter I gotta agree with TBBF…so far so good…in fact I gotta say Fameis has even exceeded my hopes. He’s turned his charisma for good instead of teenaged fun.
Fameis still has a chance to make all of this great. If he keeps up his exemplary behavior he’ll be fine. Because as much as Americans love to tear down the successful, we also LOVE us stories of redemption and second chances. If Fameis keeps it up and plays well on top of that…he’ll OWN this town.

He’s about to own the nfl, shortly..and i dont even consider this a 2nd chance, honestly. Imo, people judged the confidence it took to get him where he is, and he should be confident, for some arrogant and possibly criminal kid (given ridiculous media scrutiny) which is very sad..no fan of jameis expects any less than this dedication minicamp year 9 of his career..thats why we remained steadfast in our choice..it never was trade down, fowler, or mariota..nothing but jameis, period.. some kids you cant pass on. like jimbo said, he was literally built for this. Jimbo knows he was very lucky to get him and has said as much.. His mom and dad just made sure he didnt waste it by not having it between the ears.

StPete, I agree as long as he keeps his nose clean.
