“California Dreamin'”
May 8th, 2015Back in 2010, Raheem Morris rolled out “Race to 10” as the official mantra of the Buccaneers. The meaning was simple: be the first team to win 10 games.
Lovie Smith has different ideas.
The leader of the Buccaneers has installed a new team slogan — California Dreamin’ — for 2015. It represents the Bucs’ keeping their minds on the prize, a trip to San Francisco for the Super Bowl.
Joe had an exclusive chat with sixth-round pick Kaelin Clay, who spilled the beans. “Coach Smith, he has it up on the board. We’re California Dreamin’.” Yes, Joe was able to confirm this with the head coach.
Joe likes the attitude.
Last year’s slogan? Joe has no recollection, but it turned into “Chase for Jameis” before Thanksgiving.

better than…”the season begins in November”

Love it, great way to set the tone for the season…why not us??
If we ended up the Super Bowl this year it would make Jameis look like a Prophet…

Just win. The slogan will create itself.

Lovie needs to win a home game before he starts making San Francisco plans. I’m as excited as next guy about future but I’m realist the roster is scary. Go Jameis

Not a bad slogan in my book. Keep in mind that our only Superbowl appearance just so happened to be in California as well!!!!

***k the Super Bowl, that would be nice but I would be ecstatic if the Bucs did go 10-6 just like Rah’s 2010 squad….. BTW Joe, love the picture of Diamond Dave running the gauntlet of the gorgeous Left Coast babes from that epic 1984 video, hard to believe they used to show videos like this on MTV…1984 was the last season for Coach McKay, too bad he is not around now as I am sure he’d have had a good quip or 2 that could become the Bucs’ mantra in 2015 and he definitely would have had a good one or 2 for the garbage we saw at RJS last season in that race for JW……
