NFL Draft Day Three, Open Thread
May 2nd, 2015So the Bucs have their franchise quarterback, and two potential starting offensive linemen. What else?
There are a couple of O-linemen out there for the taking, but will any of them still be there when the Bucs select with the 29th pick in the fourth round?
Unless the Bucs make trades, they have five picks today including two fifth-round selections.
Bang your comments and thoughts here as the second half of the draft fires up today.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:03 pm
Here we go. Best players at positions we can use.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:04 pm
I sure would like to open her thread!
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:04 pm
The two previous draft babes have brought good luck….this one has great potential too…..Go Bucs !
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:06 pm
Hoping for wr/return guy today…FS + LB and OL depth
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:07 pm
Rashad Greene would be nice! He’ll be gone though.
Kenny Bell is possible.
Id also like DE Anthony Chickillo.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:08 pm
Bubdabubdabubada- wow.
What’s a draft?
With her on our side- I feel pretty good about our chances
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:09 pm
Quality over quantity… I hope the Bucs can trade up into the fourth round…

May 2nd, 2015 at 12:13 pm
Really hoped we would get Trey Flowers
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:13 pm
@mac
I thought about that too, but after La’el Collins and T. J. Clemmings are off the board, there really isn’t anyone worth trading up for.
From here on, most of these guys are not starters.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:13 pm
Panthers traded up.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:13 pm
I’d have NO problem with another OL……
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:15 pm
Lol @Ray, u know it!
Wheres the large version of that pic Joe?
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:15 pm
Of course the pick I’ve been banging the table for goes to the new england patriots with the pick we gave them for tge mankins trade smfh
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:15 pm
the Patriots just grabbed DE Trey Flowers w/ the pick they received from the Bucs 🙁
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:16 pm
Same here. Both La’el Collins and T. J. Clemmings would be steals here.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:16 pm
Williams is listed as a guard on nfl.com
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:17 pm
Unfrtunately we can forget about Collins, I dont think he’ll sign a contract until next years draft.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:18 pm
Marcus Hardison will be a better DE than Trey Flowers.
Of course, he’s the best DE left on the board, so not likely we will get him.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:18 pm
@joe
Can you tell licht and lovie to just stay still and don’t touch anything during this season. Nomore desperation bonehead moves

I sure would like to open her thread!
Kinda looks like she’s packing a little surprise down there……..
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:20 pm
@MadMax
Has there been anything more said about him?
I prefer T. J. anyway. The foot thing doesn’t bother me, as he didn’t even know it was fractured, and broken bones tend to heal stronger than before.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:21 pm
An excellent draft so far, and yet certain fans still want to bash the HC and GM.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:21 pm
There went Bryce Petty. Jets.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:21 pm
And there it is, the Jets go QB.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:21 pm
If we hadn’t traded up for div 3 boy we could have had Greene. Could have taken aj can too. But licht had to let his emotion come into play.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:23 pm
Tre’ Jackson
Michael Bennett
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:24 pm
@Bonzai, his reps are saying he wont play until next year…

May 2nd, 2015 at 12:24 pm
@LUVMYBUCS
DT? We don’t need one.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:25 pm
there goes S James Sample and WR Jamison Crowder 🙁
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:25 pm
@Bonzai
Correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t you bashing Licht before the draft?
I responded on the other thread of what I think of O’Leary
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:27 pm
@ Brent
Agreed… Not thrilled about moving up for Ali…
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:27 pm
Id take Marpet over both of them…..especially Cann, and Im a Gamecock and would normally be beating the drum for those players.
RB Mike Davis would be a good pick if we needed a RB, but we dont.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:27 pm
Maybe we find a sleeper pass rusher today ?
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:28 pm
DooshLaRue what kind of surprise are you expecting to be down there buddy? LOL
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:31 pm
Get rashard green here please
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:35 pm
Stephon diggs should be our next pick I personally know him and he would be a weapon in the slot and a speed in space type guy really good agility and quick off his breaks. Good hands but only 6’0 he’s a steal
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:35 pm
Phillip Says
@Bonzai
Correct me if I’m wrong but weren’t you bashing Licht before the draft?
Yes I was. I was calling him Jason Lost as well. Up until this draft, he has given no reason to believe he was any good at his job. But he’s pulling this draft off in style.
Consider the trade, for example. Now I, for one, did not think he was even capable of pulling off such a trade. When you look at it, he gave up zero picks. He upgraded our 3rd to a second and downgraded our 4th to a lower 4th. It was the only trade in the draft that did not cost picks.
He scored major points in that.
Then consider the picks we got. I realize some here think Marpet was not worth a second, but they are wrong. He was the third best potential center/guard in the draft.
If you were in the draft day thread yesterday, you saw me give props. That’s the thing with me…I DO give props when props are due. I don’t stubbornly insist I wasn’t wrong out of pride.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:37 pm
Off topic:
Im not a big bourbon fan, but man this crown royal regal apple (green apple) is sooo friggin smooth!
and there goes Clemmings.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:37 pm
@BuccaneerBonzai
Henry Melton has a balky knee. And both Melton & McDonald are free agents next. IMO Bring in a young guy with some interior rush potential. Let him learn behind some capable vets. U never have enough good interior rushers in a 4-3.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:38 pm
Chris Conley round 4. Speed, hands, return man.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:38 pm
There goes Tre’
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:41 pm
Yup! @Luv, I wouldve like picking Tre too.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:41 pm
This:
Rd 4 Jamil Douglas, OT, Arizona State Height: 6-4. Weight: 304.
Rd 5 Taiwan Jones, ILB, Michigan State Height: 6-3. Weight: 245.
Rd 6 Jake Ryan, ILB/OLB, Michigan Height: 6-2. Weight: 240.

Rd 7 Anthony Chickillo, DE, Miami Height: 6-3. Weight: 267
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:41 pm
MadMax Says
@Bonzai, his reps are saying he wont play until next year…
Here’s the thing. In that article, it mentioned Jackson doing that to the Bucs. As a result, the next year, Jackson ended up being picked in the 7th round, so it really did not help his draft stock.
Collins needs to look at that example and understand. I know that he passed a polygraph and it really isn’t fair what’s happened to him, because I don’t think he had anything to do with that murder, but it is what it is.
What he needs to do is get on a team and prove himself. Play with a chip on his shoulder.
Next year, teams will know he’s not being charged, but they will also know about his refusing to sign a contract and I doubt anyone will draft him in the 1-3 rounds anyway. All he would be doing is delaying his professional career and gaining nothing.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:41 pm

I agree the kid is only going to get healthier and healthier and regain that explosion he lost after the injury
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:42 pm
btw, for anyone missing it, nfl.com has a draft tracker to watch during these commercials:

May 2nd, 2015 at 12:42 pm
Looks like pickin at the top of the 4th would have been big for us…. Take note Licht
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:42 pm
And frankly, it is worth drafting him. Even if he does hold out. It’s worth taking hte chance that he can be convinced to sign.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:43 pm
@Mike10
Oh stop it. Picking a 2nd time in the second round was bigger.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:44 pm
You’re right Bonzai! I feel for him too.
Man would it be something if we could grab him in the 4th and talk him into signing!
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:45 pm
Lions picking Gabe Wright DT.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:45 pm
Lol, Prospects are flying off the board
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:46 pm
I figure at this point, ANYONE we pick is not a sure thing.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:46 pm
Ehhh talkin more about the Mankins trade
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:46 pm
That 4th pick cost us Wright and Jackson. Darn it, smh!
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:47 pm
Just making sure.. But I don’t think one trade should change perception..
With that said …
I think Licht has done an okay/good job since coming here and believe last years draft was hurt from not having his own personnel team for a full season of scouting of potential draft picks and Lovie made more decisions in last years draft IMO. This year I think Licht has taken more control of the draft picks while Lovie continued to get his wanted FA list but only if they came with the correct price tag this year as opposed to last year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:47 pm
Rd 4 Chaz Green, OT, Florida Height: 6-5. Weight: 314
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:49 pm
You know, if Collins is still there when we pick, I think we should take the chance!
Its a 4th, so what if it doesnt work……but WHAT A STEAL if it does!
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:49 pm
rashad Greene WR or adrian amos S!!
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:49 pm
God people. Stop suggesting players that aren’t on the board anymore!
Both Chris Conley and Chaz Green are long gone.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:50 pm
We drafted Hogart over Tre Jackson – who’s a proven player and has big game production.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:50 pm
@bonzai
Do you see what the patriots are doing?? That’s what an excellent draft looks like. Staying put and letting the draft come to you. We are drafting well but are sacrificing our next pick in the process.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:50 pm

May 2nd, 2015 at 12:51 pm
O’leary, jay Ajayi or Collins. fck it it’s the year to take risks. Scared money don’t make money.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:51 pm
Phillip Says
Just making sure.. But I don’t think one trade should change perception.
Considering the trades he has pulled off since coming, has he done one better? He’s gotten us mostly 7th rounders.
There was no reason to believe he could get us better. In this he got a 2nd. That makes it perception changing.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:51 pm
Damn there goes SS Campbell 🙁
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:53 pm
mankins is a pro bowl guard…all these guys are prospects!
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:54 pm
…i tried…
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:54 pm
@iamkingsu
First, good, established teams have luxuries that other teams do not.
Second, we havn’t lost any picks. We still have a 4th rounder. We didn’t lose a 3rd rounder, it was just improved.
So tell me…oh hater of Lovie…what have we lost?
And don’t bother naming players. You act like we could have had them all with one pick. Aside from Clemmings, Marpet is better than any other player you can name.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:54 pm
Yea, poor effort at that. Lmao
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:55 pm
Lol, can someone please keep Belicick off FSU’s campus –geesh
-Bryan Stork
-Tre’ Jackson
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:55 pm
And, as far as Mankins…the man was the only decent player on the line last year. He was trying to do the work of 3 players at a time. With better players next to him, he’ll be great again.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:56 pm
28 spots.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:56 pm
lol
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:57 pm
Hell be great once or IF he buys in. Fingers crossed. At this point he’s training his replacement in Ali.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:57 pm
@Bucfreak
Whoops, just saw that the Chiefs got him at round 3. Wasn’t even watching the draft at that point. As for suggesting players, get over it it’s what fans do.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:57 pm
DT Rodney Gunter to the Cardinals.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:59 pm
Ali will be center. They are just not saying so yet because Lovie and Licht and Kirk need to talk to EDS first.
May 2nd, 2015 at 12:59 pm
Blake Bell to the 49’ers
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:00 pm
Rd 4 Max Garcia, G/C, Florida Height: 6-4. Weight: 309.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:00 pm
Mankins sure as hell didn’t play like a pro bowl gaurd last year. In fact, if I didn’t know any better I’d say he was in on the tank for Jameis.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:01 pm
Jesse James TE Penn St. I like those penn St cornFed Giants.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:01 pm
“And, as far as Mankins…the man was the only decent player on the line last year. He was trying to do the work of 3 players at a time. With better players next to him, he’ll be great again.”
i really hope so. i think he lost his football heart when traded from the eventual sb winners to the yuks. totally understandable. but now time to man up and do your job.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:02 pm
NFL says Collins won’t be permitted to enter draft next year….
Amos…..or a WR…..Green or McBride…..
Keep your fingers crossed one will still be there…..
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:02 pm
Id be happy with MadMax Garcia for our 4th.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:02 pm

Can’t wait to cut eds. Send him to the bills so he can get stomped on again.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:03 pm
Bonzai
Tre flowers was a need, tre jackson etc. Are any of those players going to be there??I know its “only the 4th round to you” but These are good players. Nevermind I’m done trying to explain stuff to idiots.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:05 pm
So with Collins, we all know he’s threatened to not sign a contract unless drafted yesterday. He may not get drafted as a result. I suspect this is a financial decision and it makes perfect sense to me. What I’m curious about is if he isn’t drafted is it possible to sign him to a contract equivalent to a 1st or 2nd round pick?… or are there contract limitations imposed on undrafted FA’s?
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:05 pm
BPA
Collins 6.1
Ajayi 5.9
Bennett DT 5.9
Jarrett NT 5.7

Marpet is a great kid. Hard worker smart creative. Figured out a way to live his dream. This team is going to be full of HEART. It’s going to piss off a lot of people and players. Get ready its a new day.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:06 pm
In case ali marpet can’t make the transition tre jackson couldve sured that pick up numnuts. Just let the board come to you guys!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:06 pm
B. J. Finney at Center is also a 5.6
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:07 pm
O’leary ajayi.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:07 pm
I think we should pick Ali Marpet in the fourth round…
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:07 pm
Heres a vid I found on Marpet while he was in high school….watch it, you’ll love it

“numnuts”
Stop thinking about my nuts.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:08 pm
Bonsai thats a bit generous. Calling anyone the best on that line last year should be taken as an offense.
Ya he came in late, and didn’t want to be here, and he had to cover for others… But fact is we traded away Bucs and a high pick for a VERY expensive guy that wasn’t worth the cheddar… Licht got got
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:08 pm
If we come away with stefon diggs out of this I can forgive them
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:08 pm
@bonzai
We got something for Casillas and for another back up player(the name escapes me at the moment) doesn’t matter if they were for 6th and 7th rounders those are just ammo to move up in the draft if need be.. Those are amazing trades imo
We weren’t going to be able to trade Revis or our other high priced players because most teams know we will just cut them because we have to.
Them getting rid of the O-line from the previous regime screams Lovie all over it and the push for the Mankins trade.
We actually did give up quite a bit for Marpet too imo.. We essentially upgraded by 6 or so picks to downgrade another 20 something in the 4th. With that said I still like the Marpet pick and believe he will be starting week 1 at RG or C.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:08 pm
Zadarius Smith is a guy who brought a LOT of pressure at DE….Great pick by Baltimore.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:09 pm
For our pick here I want Nick O’Leary, TE. Converted to HB/FB.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:09 pm
@mike
4th round picks aren’t high picks.. We also didn’t expect to be picking in the top 10 of each round they expected to be around 20.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:09 pm
Bonzai
That was kinda homo bra
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:09 pm
All the talk about Mankins has me looking at who the Pats have grabbed today: Trey Jackson, and Tre Flowers are both players who I thought the Bucs could have grabbed today but could not thanks to L&L getting boned by the Hoody with that Mankins trade…. Hopefully the Bucs will get someone who will actually make the roster when they draft in the Colts spot… The Colts used the Bucs 4th rounder (via Mark Barron and the Lambs) to get a local product from UCF; glad the Bucs got the Hobart kid but I really doubt the Bucs needed to swap picks with Indy to get him but who knows maybe the ****ing Pats would have grabbed him if the Bucs waited for the start of round 3….
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:11 pm
@ws99
Lol… Dude you are cracking me up!!!
“Full of heart”… I just hope he is full of talent and not full of baloney…
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:11 pm
u r silly kingsu. bonzai explained himself.
we had TWO (2) second round picks. we moved up our third rounder for moving back in the fourth round. we did not lose a pick and indeed got a starter that we wanted for sliding back in the 4th, which would have been a backup player anyways.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:11 pm
Phillip Says
“Them getting rid of the O-line from the previous regime screams Lovie all over it…”
It was a purely financial move, and Lovie has absolutely nothing to do with the team finances. Who does?
Jason Licht. So you are wrong on this point.
But it doesn’t matter. I don’t want to argue anymore. I want to enjoy the draft.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:12 pm
Speaking for Pablo
“Pablo is on his knees in prayer….wanting Rakeem Nunez-Roches”…..por favor…por favor!!”
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:12 pm
We JUST TRADED UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:12 pm
Now Ajayi is a forte clone. Bruiser w great hands and quickness. Him n mike James Rainey could do some damage. The lbs in this division are good so we need to get strong. O’leary is slower but will do just as good especially with winner under center. Whoooooa Yeeaaaaaa. I’m stoked kid stoked.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:12 pm
We’re on the clock, apparently. Traded up.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:12 pm
another trade? what did we give up? i still see the 4th round pick we were supposed to have also
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:12 pm
C’mon Bennett
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:13 pm
Better be Amos
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:13 pm

Kwon
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:14 pm
LB Kwon Alexander… I didnt know anything about him, i’ll admit.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:14 pm
Financial when we paid the replacing players the same amount? Come on dude seriously?
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:14 pm
im not so sure we really needed a lb there. but idk maybe hes good havent done any research on him yet
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:14 pm
SAY WHAT?
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:15 pm
It’s high in the fourth round… but doesn’t matter. You can’t think like that as the GM. We continue to undervalue our Picks, and other smart teams like the Pats are there just licking their chops
… and just like that, good players that we could have had a reach at won’t even make it to our training camp, and we need all the able bodies we can get!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:15 pm
There goes Lovie…..couldn’t help it……LB
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:15 pm
We traded up again?
Kwon Alexander OLB
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:15 pm
Ooooo
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:15 pm
Somebody help me out with this Kwon guy. Any good? Why we got a LB is beyond me but yeah, our coach is Lovie Smith. No surprise I guess.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:16 pm
Alexander had decent production in 2014 with 90 tackles, 7.5 for a loss, one pass broken up, two forced fumbles and 1.5 sacks. At the Combine, the 6-foot-1, 227-pounder blazed a fast 40 at 4.55 seconds.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:16 pm
Looks like a nice Value pick….he was projected to the 3rd…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGB-fE0yfow
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:16 pm
Looks like we gave up our later 7th rd pick to move up a few spots
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:17 pm
Fort meyers dave
Thanks ft meyers dave that’s all iwas trying to explain to these idiots. I posted about tre flowers this morning on here before the patriots even drafted him. Thats why I attacked L&L because it was our pick they used
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:17 pm
Kwon is compared to…Dekoda Watson
lol
Well, to be honest, there are not many good choices left.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:17 pm
His comparison is with Dekota Watson lol
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:17 pm
Alexander is fast and fits the Tampa 2 scheme
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:18 pm
Jake Ryan could play all 3 positions.. Just saying
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:18 pm
Bet they plan to play Kwon at safety- he’s got great coverage skills- a little to light for LB. he would be a very good safety
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:18 pm
Here we go again.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:18 pm
That’s a reach, didn’t have to trade. Come on guys.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:19 pm
Man what are the odds that those useless trades that landed us 7th round picks got us to move up in the 4th round.. sarcasm 🙂
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:19 pm
espn said sam linebacker and liking him
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:19 pm
I don’t know if anyone is noticing this, but nearly all of the picks by all of the teams this round are “reaches”.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:20 pm
Never lived up to his *5-star recruit status. Hardy’s got a solid prospect to work with though
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:20 pm
Yup 4th thru 7th rounds really are gambles. Thats why I hope we try at Collins just to see if it sticks.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:20 pm
Got LVD, Lansanah, and Carter. Maybe they thought Dallas was going to take him? Unnecessary Imo.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:21 pm
It was a 7th round pick seriously relax..
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:21 pm
Wanted Greene but Alexandar is a tackling monster and had yet to reach his potential. He can challenge for OLB starting spot and will play special teams. I can’t believe Greene is still out there.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:22 pm
I also have a question about compensatory picks… I get it how Cincy got a 3rd and 4th rounder because he Bucs signed those 2 busts last season: Collins and Johnson but given how ineffective they were I feel that the compensation is BS; like rewarding a used car dealer for selling a lemon…. And how did the Pats get a 3rd rounder, who did they lose as they always seem to vulture from other teams? It just seems like a ****ed up system that rewards certain teams while Tampa gets zip when they let a guy like Revis just waltz over to the Pats because Lovie refused to pay the coin…..
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:22 pm
If we could use Kwon at Safety, that would be awesome!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:22 pm
Carter will end in disaster. Injured by game 6…if he makes it to the regular season. Personally, I think he’s be injured before the season even starts.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:22 pm
Gamecock RB Mike Davis drafted by the 49ers.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:23 pm
Watching highlights of hi thanks to MadMax. The guy has speed and is quick to the ballcarrier. He can shred blocks but the size of the NFL Lineman and TE’s he would deal with could be problematic. I can see him for depth and ST initially and the rest will depend on how he matures.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:24 pm
Marcus Hardison is a DT so no way he’ll be a better DE than Flowers lol
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:24 pm
Ur welcome sir 🙂
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:28 pm
I hope Collins or Chickillo is still around for the 5th round.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:28 pm
That was a hell of a pick but Im just hoping when we get good and start having to pick later in rounds that don’t start jumping up spots when we don’t have too. Show some confidence in that war room L&L
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:29 pm
Went to the wrong Bay JAKE! NOOOOOO
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:29 pm
@grafiketail
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/marcus-hardison?id=2552672
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:31 pm
Think we needed to jump the Cowboys to get him…..they ended up with another LB…..
We must have had some intel….or insight into Marinelli thinking…..and LSU…close to home for Dallas….
Who are any of us to question the moves up…since none of us know the facts facing Licht…..bottom line is that he is getting the players he wants.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:32 pm
So we have a 5th and 6th left? Am I right?
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:33 pm
and a 7th
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:33 pm
Crap, Smelter goes to the 49ers…..man I wanted him!!!!!!!!!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:34 pm
And there goes MadMax Garcia
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:35 pm
Here’s what we have (at present) MadMax
Round 5, Pick 26 (162) (from Ravens)
Round 6, Pick 8 (184) (from Rams)
Round 7, Pick 14 (231) (from Lions through Dolphins and Ravens)
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:36 pm
Garcia will be their day one starter at Center too I almost want to put money on it..
Hoping Smelter or Amos was the pick for us in the 4th and Jake would fall to the 5th
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:37 pm
Oh, thought we lost our 7th…..thanks guys.
Punter Spencer Roth is still out there, Id like to get him with our 7th.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:38 pm
Here’s something to think about. If Collins is not drafted, he won’t be allowed to enter the draft next year. He’ll become a free agent instead.
And UNFAs can only be paid a certain amount at the max in their rookie year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:38 pm
We had 2 7ths. We traded one to move up.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:40 pm
With those crappy Licht trades too Bonzai 😉
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:40 pm
Hardison is gone too….crap!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:40 pm
MadMax Says
“Punter Spencer Roth…”
He’s on my list, but he’s the best punter in the draft, so he’d be taken before we can get him in the 7th. So we’d have to take him in the 6th.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:40 pm
Tampabaybucfan Said:

Good points and I guess they could also apply to why the Bucs traded up with Indy to get the Hobart lineman as the braintrust must’ve thought that the Hoody or Seattle were gonna scoop him up before the Bucs had their pick to open round 1… None of us have any clue what is going on in the war room but it is fun as hell to speculate…
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:41 pm
@Phillip, you’ll see Marpet work out for us, trust me, the trade up was worth it.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:42 pm
@Phillip
Yes, crappy trades, dude. You act like they picked HoFers with those picks.
Quit being stupid.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:44 pm
Anyone else thinking Chip Kelly has royally Fd up? I do. I predict they win 4 games at most next year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:45 pm
Here’s what I view as a crappy trade
If a team already has too many holes and the trade creates another hole that cannot be filled with the picks gained or the players gained.
Apply that to ANY of the trades you mention, and it will clearly support that definition.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:46 pm
For example…the trade up to get Marpet was a good trade.
It created no holes and the player gained fills a starting role.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:47 pm
Really, if you think about it…Marpet can start at center, and therefore two starting roles will be filled, as EDS will move to guard, where he can actually play better.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:47 pm
@MadMax
I’m excited for the Marpet pick have no problem with it at all.. I was all for him over Cann as I think what you see is what you get with Cann.. He should be starting day one at either RG or C imo
@Bonzai
Because Casillas was a HoF? You just make no sense 80% of the time.. You hated Licht because of his previous trades because they could only fetch us 7th round picks.. We traded scraps into picks and turn those lowly 7th round picks into a trade up in the 4th round to grab a player Licht wanted.. But ya those are crappy trades.. You want to complain about a trade complain about the Mankins one.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:49 pm
Greene is gone.
Best remaining picks for the Bucs?
Offensive Tackle
La’el Collins
Austin Shepherd
Tight End/Halfback/Fullback
Nick O’Leary
Offensive Wide Reciever/Returner
Kenny Bell
Punter
Spencer Roth
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:49 pm
There goes Greene to the Jags.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:49 pm
Rashad Greene is gone….UGH!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:50 pm
When the last time a div 3 player weent in the 2nd round in the nfl draft?? Never you idiots! I mean we only had the 1st pick of 3rd round. He’s a div 3 player guys not div. 2 or low div. 1.
He held his own at the senior bowl he didn’t dominate! They’re nervous inside that war room and that scares the hell out of me.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:51 pm
Jacksonville is having a hell of a draft. They made themselves much better.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:54 pm
Idiots….says the self proclaimed king…Fu….go Fk urself!
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:55 pm
What makea you’ll so sure he can play center in the nfl when he played tackle in college?? Lmaooo this is hilarious. Its not a sure thing! I like the kid though
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:56 pm
@Phillip
You make it really hard to have patience.
We came into this draft with 11 STARTING needs. ELEVEN.
I’m not arguing against the need to upgrade the offensive line. I came into this draft saying we would be EXTREMELY lucky to get 4 starters, and more likely to get 3 starters.
That seventh rounder we gave up? It was nothing. Nothing at all. Because there are no more quality starters left.
Kwon will change positions, and it will take 2-3 years for him to transition to the NFL and a new position.
Did that 7th truly upgrade our starters this year? NO.
At any rate, I’m done talking with you because all you want to do is argue like a child.
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:57 pm
@Max
You don’t like Nelson Agholor(nice wr who can return kicks)? Nice young WR duo with Jordan Matthews. Eric Rowe can play either safety or cb(most likely CB).. Hicks was legitimately BPA and also back up if Ryans or Alonso can’t stay healthy.. Now trading their 4th for a future 3rd is risky because that defense is still iffy imo
May 2nd, 2015 at 1:57 pm
@bonazai i know he played multiple position on the line in college but Hadison projects as a DT and that’s where he will play in the NFL
http://www.bengals.com/news/article-1/Bengals-go-defense-in-fourth-with-big-CB-Shaw-DT-Hardison-/e903023d-9876-4d58-aa51-48c26230bdea
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm
@iamkingsu
He has played Tackle, Guard AND CENTER.
Until Lovie and Licht talk to EDS, he’ll be mentioned as a guard.
And why is it that you and people like you always have to insult people to make your point? Does it mean so much to you that people take your side? Freedom of speech as long as people agree with you?
You’re another person I’m hitting ignore on, because you never add anything constructive.
Throughout this draft, things have been peaceful and well discussed…no insults. Until you and Phillip started talking.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm
What do you think of Kenny Benn WR Neb he can stretch the field and return kicks. All O’Leary does is catch Tds.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:00 pm
You said it Madmax; the kid from Hobart was the 65th ranked player on the rotoworld rankings; some of the critics act like the Bucs just made another “Dexter Jackson” draft choice; not so…. As far as the kid being D3, so what? A lot of players do the juco route and then play one or 2 seasons at D1 before being drafted but nothing is said about that. The Hobart kid looks like a good addition to a bad Ol. Hopefully Koetter and warhop utilize him accordingly…
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:01 pm
Lots of Decent OG left to choose from, good value.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:02 pm
@grafikdetail
Where he is projected to play for his team is a different matter. You said he was a DT…and hinted that he was not a DE. He was both. Therefore we were both right, except that you said he was not a good DE…which he is.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:03 pm
quality over quantity… let’s make these late rounds count & get guys that actually have a real shot at making a NFL roster
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:03 pm
@Stanglassman
You mean Kenny Bell? He’s the only remaining WR I like. And I agree with you as to what he can offer.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:03 pm
there goes Adrian Amos
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:04 pm
@max
Lmaoooooooooooo. Why u so mad bra?? Its just the internet geeeeeeesh! Calm your punk arss diwn before you get hurt little guy
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:04 pm
grafikdetail Says
“quality over quantity… let’s make these late rounds count & get guys that actually have a real shot at making a NFL roster.”
Gotta say, I agree with you here. 🙂
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:05 pm
Phillip, why are you asking me about him? Nelson wasnt a target. That is all.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:05 pm
Yes Kenny Bell- I little skinny but smart guy.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:07 pm
there goes Bobby McCain
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:09 pm
You like to call people idiots and now little guy…..im in greenville sc….come see me and say it to my face keyboard warrior.
Na, Im not mad, just cant stand lil shts like u!
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:09 pm
Bears got Amos, ouch. Are we really going into the season with Conte? That could be a disaster.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:10 pm
PLEASE come try to hurt me kingsu
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:11 pm
Because ONCE again Casillas wasn’t even a starter for us anymore or did you forget that Danny took over? The other player who escapes me at the moment was not a starter as well.. We got SOMETHING for Goldson who is overpaid, 30, and can’t cover and is a risk to miss games with his playing style.. We got SOMETHING for Barron who might not even make the Rams roster this season. We REPLACED them with Conte/Wright and McDougald.. Whether you like the players we REPLACED them with is irrelevant because Licht believes he plugged the holes. We got younger and players who better fit the defensive scheme.
Also Kwon Alexander is a LB I’m not sure why it would take him 2-3 years to learn how to play the position he currently plays. He has a chance to be our day one starter at SLB
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:12 pm
There goes stephon diggs smfh…Minnesota got a good wr for bridgewater we needed a slot guy smh this draft is turning into a nightmare
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:12 pm
@bonzai we have too many holes to fill… better to end up with a few solid future starters than a bunch practice squad players lol and regardless of position hardison is a great player from the 941 area code! gotta love him
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:13 pm
It’s certainly not a “need” but how far does CB Olomu have to fall before you start to consider him? He’s a 1st round pick before the injury…
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:13 pm
damn!! there goes stefon diggs!!! 🙁
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:13 pm
MadMax Says:

Figured you were talking about their draft no?
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:16 pm
@Phillip, at everything. It just seems anytime someone comes into an organization as a hurricane rearranging everything, the immediate results are never good.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:18 pm
Davis Tull. I am shocked he and Ekpre Olomu are still on the board.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:19 pm
Chip Kelly will be coaching in Tennessee by 2017. Guaranteed.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:20 pm
And there goes Tull! Saints are having a fantastic draft in my opinion.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:20 pm
funny that the spread qb dropped like that.
nfl said earlier spread qb’s will continue to drop in the coming years.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:20 pm
I would love for the Bucs to take Collins now. Got nothing to lose and everything to gain.
Once he visits the team facilities, he’ll be wowed over.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:21 pm
Max
Why are you so angry guy?? That’s like a 6 hour drive from lmaoooo. What I look like??
But here this I’ll continue to post daily so you can remember my name and around the time bike week rolls around if you still feel the same way I’ll see you there.
I don’t usually go but since everybody else that I know goes I’ll make an exception
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:21 pm
Oh I thought the trade was iffy but if Kiko heals fully and Demarco can continue to stay healthy then I don’t see the issue and think their defense will be immensely better.
Also if your offense can make Mark Sanchez look like an average starter then I don’t think it matters who is playing QB.
Oh and playoffs two straight years right? Doing alot better than our current and previous hc lol
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:23 pm
Wow. Dolphins have 4 picks in this round, lol.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:23 pm
“smh this draft is turning into a nightmare”
i’m shaking my head at your silly statement. nightmare, indeed.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:23 pm
Would anyone be opposed to La’el Collins being the Bucs pick in the 5th? That would make this an A+ draft for me.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:25 pm
What are Collins choices if he gets drafted? Just not sign because he wanted to go earlier? NFL already said they won’t let him reapply next next so it would have to be supplemental. Bucs got 32 chips for that so odds are they may have 1st choice.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:26 pm
Bet! Just post the place and time
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:27 pm
Collins won’t sign. He can take a year off and be back in the 1st or 2nd round next year. There’s a lot of money lost on his end at this point.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:29 pm
@Stanglassman Pretty sure it is up to the Bucs discretion how much they wish to sign him to once this murder nonsense goes away.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:30 pm
NFL already said no to him coming back for 2016 draft. At least that was a headline I read earlier today.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:30 pm
still available
Josue Matias, G, Florida State
Height: 6-5. Weight: 309.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:32 pm
@Bill NFL already told him he can’t enter next years draft.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:33 pm
If Collins isn’t drafted on Saturday, he can’t re-enter the draft in 2016.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:34 pm
Thought the NFL told him he couldn’t enter the supplemental draft.. He’d had to get drafted in order to sit out and try again in the 2016 draft.. I say 6th round take him.. Contracts are shorter and he can get to that 2nd paycheck a hell of alot quicker if he believes he can be that good and will be in the NFL still then.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:34 pm
Kenny Bell / Anthony Chickillo also still available.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:35 pm
Licht needs to be on the phone moving cb mike Jenkins to whoever for whatever we need more picks smh
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:36 pm
Bill Says
“Collins won’t sign. He can take a year off and be back in the 1st or 2nd round next year. There’s a lot of money lost on his end at this point.”
That’s what Bo Jackson thought…and he ended up drafted in the 7th round as a result.
However, Collins will not be permitted to enter the draft next year. Supplemental only.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:36 pm
@bonzai
Why do you’ll get bent out of shape over the internet? They are just words pay them no mind if they don’t apply?? If you see me out this is how I talk. You’ll sound like some sheltered spoiled kids or something. He called me a name now I’m angry type of guys. Whats wrong with you’ll??
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:37 pm
2016 Supplemental, not 2015.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:38 pm
Yes, MadMax I like those guy too. But need a S and lots of good G left. And don’t forget O’Leary the TD machine.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:38 pm
“He’d had to get drafted in order to sit out and try again in the 2016 draft”
so why draft him, if he can the sit out and try again?
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:38 pm
Dont talk to him queensu….talk to me!
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:38 pm
I’ve already moved on, friend.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:41 pm
I heard he was not permitted to remove himself from this draft. Which is a different statement from saying he can not re-enter next years.
You guys may be correct…but if you are, why would his agent claim he wouldn’t sign? Why would they say that? There has to be an explanation for that, right?
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:41 pm
@lurker
I THINK (as in I’m not 100 percent sure), that because the NFL has said they will not allow him to re-enter the draft next year, he would have to enter the 2016 Supplemental Draft.
I think also, that as a result of him not signing, the Bucs would have the first Supplemental pick in 2016 (but I’m not entirely sure). So he would probably end up with us either way.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:42 pm
I just read the article and figured I’d share the info. I imagine the Bucs would call him and make sure he would consider signing before they picked him. I imagine they could pay him higher than his draft status if he was cleared. But it’s all speculation.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:42 pm
@Bill
That claim was made before the NFL responded. Maybe he’s hoping the NFLPA would help, but Collins would not be covered by them seeing as he would not be in the NFL.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:43 pm
In theory I think.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:43 pm
now that would be sweet, then bonzai.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:43 pm
I’m hoping a WR here……so far solid logical picks…..lets hope the next pick isn’t one of those “Steven Means” wierd picks…..
Oh, that’s right…..Dom is gone….
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:43 pm
Sup draft is a lottery. the bucs get 32 chips titians get 31 and so on.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:44 pm
Im sorry Bonzai, maybe I should move on too. Bet stands though!!!!!! Tired of keyboard warriors talking so much sht over the net…..is what it is
In the meantime DE Chickillo who is from the Tampa area would be a great choice for us next.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:45 pm
still some good corners & safeties left! WR titus davis is still there also
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:45 pm
@Stanglassman
That’s what I would think too, but is there a league max applied to draft picks?
Also, he has reason to say he’d sign without intending to do so if he’s not an honest person.
I think that’s why no one has taken him yet.
I still think it is worth the risk, as the only sure starter left at this point is a punter.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:45 pm
@Stanglassman
Thanks for explaining 🙂
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:46 pm
My vote is on Collins (if he responds well to phone calls) or Bell.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:46 pm
The means guy just got picked from N dekoda St. Means is still in this league not a bad pick at all.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:48 pm
20 total Florida players drafted 9 from FSU wow!
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:48 pm
It doesn’t seem he is a suspect so I’d be willing to spend a pick on him if it meant we would likely end up with him. Clearly, none of us really know how that works at this point in time. Honestly, I’d consider using a pick now even he has wait a year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:49 pm
That is pretty impressive.
Updating my choices
Collins (if he responds well to phone calls)
O’Leary
Bell
In that order
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:49 pm
The ACC is dominating the draft so there goes that “Jameis didn’t play against anyone argument”
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:50 pm
Derron Smith still on the board, as well as Anthony Harris
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:50 pm
Bucs picking 3 slots from now….
Bell or Chickillo please (Or Collins if it can work)
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:50 pm
OMG, HOLY &^^&%%^$, the bucs cheerleader, tricia cusmano in the above pic is so hot. I completely forgot what I was going to say joe….. sorry
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:50 pm
There actually are some punter worth drafting at this point. 3 great punter coming out this year, Gator guy is one of them. Field position save cap room to resign LVD.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:51 pm
The reason you draft him is because of the money and hope to convince him with a second contract… It’s going to be hard to turn down 500k a year especially if you are a 21-24 year old kid.
Also sitting out a year will do more harm than good.. These kids are far from finished products(body/frame maybe) and need to be training with NFL players and coaches.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:51 pm
If the pick were Collin and he signed, what would that mean to the oline?
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:51 pm
4 away…time to trade up….
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:52 pm
nfl network is going to show the SAME interview of the coaches instead of our pick.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:52 pm
Pit goes with Jesse James TE. Cool name!
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:53 pm
Means….good for someone else…..not us…
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:54 pm
I’d be happy with Derron Smith S from Fresno St we need both FS SS.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:55 pm
That’s true, Stranglassman.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:55 pm
He wasn’t allowed to be taken out of this draft and placed into supplemental draft entirely that is what the NFL rejected..
Two seconds to find the article
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/04/30/report-lael-collins-will-remain-in-draft-pool/
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:55 pm
“finished below .400 4 straight seasons.”
Way to rub it in NFLN.

May 2nd, 2015 at 2:56 pm

May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
He was on my original wishlist. I’m happy 🙂
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
YES YES YES!!!! Murphy now has some competition.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
Bucs pick Nebraska WR Kenny Bell.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
Love these pics. Needed to stretch the field and KR
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
And jameis freshman year the ACC brought home basically every major individual award nagurski, heisman etc and on top of that the natl title and you’ll continued to let them tell you’ll that the ACC is a weak conference smh.
While at the sametime Mariota was playing in the PAC 12 north smdh.
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
Yessssss….Yessss….Ring my BELL
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:57 pm
So far we got 3 guys from my original wishlist. (I don’t do mocks)
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:58 pm
kenny bell
May 2nd, 2015 at 2:58 pm
We got to bring back the cow bells to the stadium. Luv it.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:01 pm
Lol, Tampabaybucfan, now that song is in my head
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:01 pm
Good pick.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:02 pm
They absolutely love…love….love KB on ESPN…
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:02 pm
Excellent 5th round pick. Another weapon for Jameis!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:02 pm
KB….point guard for the Dunkaneers!!!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:06 pm
I’m speechless I’m highly impressed with that pick. I didn’t know Bell was still on the board. That’s our best selection (value) we’ve made in years!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:06 pm
Smart guys last in this league and this year the Bucs drafted a bunch of them.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:09 pm
This was my first wishlist, made before the George
Johnson trade.
MY FIRST WISHLIST
ROUND 1
QB Jameis Winston (likely) or QB Marcus Mariota
ROUND 2
MLB Eric Kendricks or an OT
ROUND 3
OT/OG/OC Ali Marpet
ROUND 4
DE Nate Orchard (I hope) or OG Daryl Williams
ROUND 5
TE Nick O’Leary
ROUND 5
WR Kenny Bell
ROUND 6
P Spencer Roth
ROUND 7
DE Anthony Chickillo
As you can imagine…I’m happy.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:17 pm
Is the safety Holliman still on the board if so. Him in the 6th then take a chance on Collins in 7th..
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:17 pm
I remember that list Bonzai, We nailed that Kenny Bell pick.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:20 pm
i can not wait for this offense!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:21 pm
DE Anthony Chickillo DE, O’Leary TD Maker and a Safty Darron Smith Fres St or Anthony Harris VA?
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:24 pm
Don’t be surprised if the Bucs pick a Punter Christy FL Gator or Loomis Port St.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:26 pm
Super Mario still on the board?? And give Trail a shot!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:26 pm
I just hope they take a good punter. We need it bad at this point.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:27 pm
Will Collins be Mister Irrelevant?
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:28 pm
There are actually a few great players who I am very surprised are still on the board.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:29 pm
Gerod Holliman, Kurtis Drummond, Derron Smith all sitting there at Safety
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:30 pm
what if punter was injured last year or asked to tank? i do not think mankins and koenen just forgot how to be good. the dropoff was too dramatic.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:30 pm
Look!
Mayock just called Burton a “thug”!
What a racists! oh wait, Burton is white.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:32 pm
@lurker
What if his advanced age is the reason he did so poorly? We really don’t know, I suppose, but we do know our current punter is over paid for the results we get.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:33 pm
Not sure if there is a word to describe how pathetic Koenen’s play was last year.
It never occurred to me that he was asked to tank! LOL.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:34 pm
and yet, if they do not pick one…the brass at obp just may know more than us.
either way, we both agree punting sucked last year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:34 pm
@Bonzai I’d play for half his salary, with probably the same results!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:34 pm
I don’t believe any player was asked to tank. If anything, the play calling might have been designed to fail later in the season.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:35 pm
Because Christy is local I am sure they will not invest a pick in him and hope they can invite him to camp.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:35 pm
@unbelievable
lol.
At my age I couldn’t! Matter of fact, just getting out on the field might do me in at this point 😉
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:36 pm
Spencer Roth is a great kicker….big guy too for tackling. I hope he’s on our board.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:36 pm
I read somewhere that he was ask to do much more directional punts oppose to punting for distance. But I saw too many bad punts for that to account for all of it. Dude get paid too much for that kind of poor production, period.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:37 pm
Roth Loomis and Christie are all on the board no punter taken yet I believe.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:38 pm
Five picks to go.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:39 pm
Punter named Bradley Pinion was taken in round 5. Had a grade of 4.9
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:40 pm
Jags took Bennett
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:41 pm
Two Safties are rated best available Darren Smith and Anthony Harris
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:41 pm
I think a lot of players are going to have chips on their shoulders this year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:43 pm
Take a shot (no pun intended) on Collins….can always waive him later if need be.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:44 pm
Wonder if Goodell put out a mandate not to take Collins?
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:45 pm
Jags did draft well this year. How did Bennett last this long? He is not that small.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:46 pm
Anthony harris here come on bucs
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:46 pm
been saying smith and harris, if lovie likes them for the D… but i was thinking last round
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:47 pm
Usually the QB who goes #1 overall is stuck on a team with little support for him. Not so for Jameis. He has such weapons as Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, ASJ and Kenny Bell. 2nd and 3rd draft picks help address the oline as well. Lovie and Licht showing the love for Winston.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:47 pm
another wide out! not messing around with return specialists
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:47 pm
Another WR and it wasn’t the William and mary guy? Huh.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:47 pm
WR again?>???
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:49 pm
return specialists
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:50 pm
Clay….I know nothing about him. But hey, they chose him….GO CLAY!
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:50 pm
Kaelin Clay is our new kick returner.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:51 pm
http://www.nfl.com/draft/2015/profiles/kaelin-clay?id=2552651
Some info.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:53 pm
kaelin clay WR- One of the most dangerous K and P return man in college football recruited by none other than Jeff Tedford.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:53 pm
Clay has drop issues though.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:53 pm
Damn I wanted Ant Harris in a bucs jersey. He’s a great kid I know him personally I went with him on his official visit to UVA and everything.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:54 pm
Worse hands than Herron and that’s saying alot.. He dropped the ball on the one against Oregon too
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:54 pm
Draft Tracker on NFL site is 5 picks behind…sigh.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:55 pm
Well one of these last 2 better be a good returner. Stoked on Bell, don’t know about Clay though..
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:55 pm
another solid pick but there was still some good corners & safeties on the board… could’ve found just as good WR/KR/PR help after the draft
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:56 pm
The drop against Oregon was intentional. He thought he had crossed the line. Was dumb.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:56 pm
Yea that drop-fumble against Oregon was pretty stupid. I would have to think he learned his lesson from that.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:57 pm
I simply cannot believe Nick O’Leary has not been picked yet.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:57 pm
@bonzai
Its an open murder investigation. It won’t be a good look for any team to draft him. Soon as the news broke he was offeveryone’s board
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:57 pm
So Do we have any picks left?
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:58 pm
@unbelievable
He later mocked himself for it. He knew it was all on him, lol.
Only 3 other drops though as a returner I think.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:59 pm
We have a 7th pick left. 14th I think.
May 2nd, 2015 at 3:59 pm
nfl.com draft tracker has recovered.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:01 pm
This is my first criticism of our draft. I like Bell and Clay, but I don’t like drafting both of them.
I suppose the take away is that Lovie thinks he can coach up our existing defenders. There were 3 safeties I would have loved at this pick.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:01 pm
@iamkingsu
If he isn’t drafted then, he won’t be able to enter any draft next year in the NFL. So it would be a bidding war I suppose this year. A small one though, given the investigation.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:02 pm
That fumble happens more than you think. It happened to desean jackson twice. Once in the high school all american game and against the cowboys on monday night. At least we know he can take it the distance
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:02 pm
@bonzai, That does sound familiar, now that I think back.
Thanks, I couldn’t remember if we had traded all our 7ths or not.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:05 pm
@Bonzai,
O’leary is a strange fit. What is he? A small TE, a slow WR, a beastly RB? Good but not great blocker….He does have great hands, but it’s hard for me to see him in a particular role.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:06 pm
@bonzai
I’m not sure because remember BO stiffed us?? I think elway did it too but not positive on that. But its going to be interesting to see though.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:06 pm
Polian likes the pick of Clay
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:06 pm
@Bill
I would like to have him in a Mike Alstott role.
Mike was not a great pass catcher or blocker at first, so in htat respect O’Leary is ahead of him.
Plus it would be a good gift to Winston, who is his best friend.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:08 pm
@iamkingsu
Bo Jackson did indeed stiff us. and his reward for it was being a 7th round pick the next year.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:08 pm
There went O’Leary 🙁
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:09 pm
Oleary would make a good H-back
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:10 pm
o’leary to buffalo
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:10 pm
@kingsu, I apologize….Im deep into some good crown royal and took internet stuff too far….. i hope we’re good man, we’re both Buc fans and thats all that should matter.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:11 pm
Oleary gone.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:14 pm
Props to those who have stuck it out through the entire draft so far!
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:14 pm
This is exactly like the Bo Jackson fiasco all over again, I mean, have you guys seen Collins play the outfield? It’s an amazing sight! lol
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:15 pm
Brandon Myers 2.0 just went.. Enjoy them no gloves in Buffalo
So glad we didn’t take that overrated H-Back
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:16 pm
Madmax
No need to explain its all good bro. We’re cool I apologize for my actions too
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:18 pm
Bonzai, this is where the DEEP fans are deep! In on all of it.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:20 pm
Awesome, Thanks iamkingsu.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:20 pm
We need to draft La’el Collins n the cb from Oregon that’s a stud but has a knee injury. well worth the risk at this point
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:21 pm
one more pick to go! but it’s gonna be some solid undrafted free agents to go after too… still a lot of fun left LOL
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:24 pm
Bill Says
“This is exactly like the Bo Jackson fiasco all over again…”
There were reasons behind the Bo Jackson situation.
Really, I think this draft has made the buccaneers a desirable team to play for on offense now.
And probably added incentive for defensive players to sign on as well.
Give it a year or two and we may have the best offense in the division.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:33 pm
@Bonzai,
I was being sarcastic. ESPN reported that Collins won’t talk to police until Monday, meaning nobody actually knows anything until then. He won’t be picked by anybody since the belief he will not become a suspect was apparently premature. I guess that’s still a possibility, so nobody’s going to touch him.
It’ll be a real shame if he was not involved.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:34 pm
I love the optimism……returning lots of punts…..
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:34 pm
I cant wait to get my new jersey with Marpet’s name and number across the back. I want the red/black one, not the ugly other one. And Im sorry for being so protective about him…..Alexander (Ali) Marpet WILL PROVE he was worth this pick!
Man, Jameis, you got some serious protection now in Marpet and Smith! Be happy about that bro.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:36 pm
@Bill
Yeah it is. A major bummer if that is the case.
But it’s done now, so he’ll have to move on. It isn’t his fault or the fault of the NFL. Just one of those things.
Fate maybe.
But he can turn it around by signing with a team as an UNFA and proving himself. Just means less money at first. But UNFAs can sign one year deals, so he can get paid next year if he is good.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:37 pm
@MadMax
I want a few jerseys…the only problem is I hate the new design, lol.
If they have them in old style I might get them. Or if I can get custom ones.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:39 pm
http://nflshop.frgimages.com/FFImage/thumb.aspx?i=%2fproductImages%2f_2126000%2fff_2126339_xl.jpg&w=400
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:40 pm
Ripkowksi- Now that’s a FB name.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:45 pm
Nice Shirt Bonzai. I love the old unis. I remember going down to the DMV in Tallahassee over and over when the FB license plates came out because I wanted the original Buc plate but they waited til the new ones came out to make them.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:48 pm
Lets trade Herron for a 7th rounder right now…..worth it
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:50 pm
Drafting a WR that can’t catch the ball is never a good idea.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:52 pm
@The Real Drew
/signed
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:53 pm
Way I see it is 6th and 7th round is a complete crapshoot. So may as well take chances there.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:53 pm
There went Anthony Chickillo
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:58 pm
🙁 I wanted Chickillo.
May 2nd, 2015 at 4:59 pm
we will get defense next year
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:02 pm
Im a fan of chickillo damn
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:04 pm
SS Ronald Martin still there…..Why not Bucs?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:07 pm
Kicker Spencer Roth still available?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:08 pm
Isn’t FSU guard Josue Mathais still on the board?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:14 pm
I want Spencer Roth.
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:28 pm
4 picks away…..Ronald Martin SS
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:29 pm
Lynden Trail would be DE project
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:34 pm
We’re up!
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:37 pm
too long for a punter
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:37 pm
WTH!! PICK!!!!!!!!!!
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:37 pm
Are we finally going to get a saftey or DE?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:38 pm
Joey the FB
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:38 pm
RB/FB Joey Iosefa?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:38 pm
fullback
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:39 pm
Interesting. Why?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:39 pm
alrighty then…it’s over
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:39 pm
Wow. How long has it been since we actually drafted a fullback?
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:40 pm
Not sure about that last pick. Rest of the draft is looking pretty darn good tho!
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:41 pm
Maybe Josue Matias UFA here
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:41 pm
take a flyer, why not.
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:42 pm
That’s it for us. I’m going to wait it out until I see where Ant Harris land
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:43 pm
I trust them at this point……so a FB/RB in the 7th….is what it is, Welcome aboard Joey!
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:44 pm
L&L are doing a nice job but i still have worries about how they attack the draft… the players they moved up to get probably would’ve have been there without making a trade…and i like the WR from Utah but mark my words a better utility player option will emerged from the UDFA pool like Mario Alford from WVU… same for the FB from Hawaii i seriously doubt he would’ve been drafted lol could’ve gotten some safety help instead & signed him as a UDFA
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:48 pm
“the players they moved up to get probably would’ve have been there without making a trade…”
they moved up for a reason. and you will never know why.
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:52 pm
Wait a got damn minute! Kevin white is still on the board?? No way! He must have off field issues that I’m unaware of. I saw him shut down the other kevin white
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:53 pm
I kind of like the FB pick. Taking a gamble that he can develop into a Mike Alstott-type of FB.
He’s a great lead blocker too, which is more likely the reason he was picked.
And he probably would not have come to tampa as a UDFA.
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:54 pm
Super mario finally got drafted
May 2nd, 2015 at 5:55 pm
@iamkingsu
Kevin White the WR was drafted by the bears.
The CB Kevin White is still available. 4.63 40 and NFL.com says this:
“Cornerback with mismatched parts. Has temperament and play of an outside corner, but lacks size and deep speed. Has size of a slot corner but lacks foot quickness and twitch to consistently cover speed in space. “
May 2nd, 2015 at 6:02 pm
@bonzai
I’m talking about the corner. I said I watched him shut the other kevin white down. The kid is a baller. Somebody is going to regret not oicking him up. The kid has swagger/moxy too
May 2nd, 2015 at 6:27 pm
Welp of course it’s too early to make draft grades until the players have atleast 3 years under their belt, but what do you guys think?
What’s your grade for this draft?
I give it a B- only because they couldn’t land a DE in a draft loaded with DE’s.
May 2nd, 2015 at 6:55 pm
need premier pass rusher at DE was not many in this draft to begin with and pickings were really slim after taking the OLs so i can understand them not reaching for a DE but a B- or C+ grade is fair
—–
guess L&L didn’t like Danny Lansanah’s tough talk about Winston LOL drafted his replacement in the 4th… Alexander is penciled in as starter at SLB now
May 2nd, 2015 at 7:10 pm
87,
I give them an A- simply with their first 3 picks.
And I think that kid, Kenny Bell could really make some plays for us.
We’ve got some serious weapons now.
Can’t wait for training camp to start.
May 2nd, 2015 at 7:20 pm
Yes I like the Kenny Bell pick a lot.
May 2nd, 2015 at 8:26 pm
hey did that LaLeal Collins OT get drafted…..I probably butchered the name ..but the guy with police suspicion
May 2nd, 2015 at 8:38 pm
Fungi,
Nope. Nobody drafted him.
He is now an Undrafted Free Agent.
May 3rd, 2015 at 12:58 am
@87
I give this draft an A. Wouldve been an A+ if we couldve found a SS or DE, but Im VERY happy and excited about our first 4 picks. If these guys work out and dont get hindered by injuries, we’re well on our way to winning some games again. I think we’re at least a .500 team this next season.
May 3rd, 2015 at 1:04 am
Winston, Smith, Marpet, Bell……all 4 were constantly talked about on this site. I think someone in the Bucs organization likes this site and the fans eyes for talent. And they’re getting this info for free. Pay us with wins….JUST WIN BABY!
May 3rd, 2015 at 1:52 am
My bad, Id just woke up and forgot Bell was a 5th….man what a steal! Dont know a thing about Kwon and the last 2 picks though.
May 3rd, 2015 at 2:21 am
I really need the larger version of that Hot blonde in the pic….I want it as my wallpaper on my phone.
May 3rd, 2015 at 2:19 pm
Great draft; I’m satisfied with our efforts.
NOTE: Had to take the iPad into the bathroom…
