Ring Of Dishonor
April 20th, 2015It’s a tale of hookers, cash, inconspicuous police video and a Buccaneers icon.
TMZ.com has a new story out on Warren Sapp’s Super Bowl arrest, and they’ve procured the video of Sapp in a police interrogation room in Arizona.
Man, Joe hopes to never be found in this situation.
Sapp has been invisible since his arrest and subsequent firing from NFL Network. Joe was going to ask Gerald McCoy today about Sapp, McCoy’s mentor, but decided to pass.
Joe wishes Sapp well.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:22 pm
man that sux. at least he paid for and didn’t take it by force.
feel for the guy.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:27 pm
I almost shut the video off. Depressing.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:27 pm
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:29 pm
Karma is a bitch.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:30 pm
That is the truth
April 20th, 2015 at 4:30 pm
Just bc he’s not a choir boy doesn’t mean I don’t want him in the ring of honor. It’s the same guy w the same baggage they drafted out of Miami, he was just smart enough to take a hiatus in the pros.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:31 pm
No doubt he wishes he paid “the tip”. A few extra Benjamin’s to keep his job? Probably should have done it. But no one equates Warren Sapp with wise decision making.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:34 pm
It’s too bad he was crying out to Jesus AFTER all this went down.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:48 pm
Just s everyone can keep up. Physical evidence in this case supports the hookers. Evidence in the Winston case supports Winston. That my friends is how it’s supposed to work and why Sapp went to jail and Winston will be our new QB.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:53 pm
Despite all that has been said about Jameis, other than his accuser (and we all know that is up for debate) I have never heard anyone that has spent any time in his presence refer to him as an a-hole. Even the Big Mutt said he found him charming and fun to be around. You would be hard pressed to find anyone that has spent any time in the presence of Warren Sapp to say a kind word about him.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:53 pm
Honestly I’m surprised I didn’t start crying. There’s a lot of trifling as hoes out there. Be careful.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:54 pm
Sapp is a Florida boy, there isn’t anything short of murder that would make me dislike him. One of the best Bucs ever, thankfully he is a stoner or the Bucs would of never had him.
April 20th, 2015 at 4:57 pm

Well…at least you have more time on your hands to talk about Jameis 🙂
April 20th, 2015 at 4:58 pm
So I ran into this article that was very very very interesting. Specifically the parts with the social media comments. I hope joe leaves this up. If not I found it on BR and it was written by thebaycave.com
http://www.thebaycave.com/latest-in-winston-saga-raises-concerns-created-by-fallacies/
April 20th, 2015 at 4:59 pm
You mean lack of evidence. It’s his word against hers.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:01 pm
Not really wifebeater it’s her word against his, Darby’s and the other guy. Moreover the police officer, the speacial victims unit officer. And now her social media comments.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:05 pm
Releasing that videos was incredibly unnecessary… Had to turn it off.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:06 pm
When your in the public eye you have to pay for your vices, sometimes more than you want. But what’s worth more, an extra couple hundred dollars or your bread and butter? Bad choice, dumb choice. Pay the lady what she wants and this is a non-issue.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:10 pm
Lying ass beotch!
April 20th, 2015 at 5:12 pm
Wifebeater
Did you know that she had/has a boyfriend who is a black qb who played for zephyrhills HS and now plays qb in OH? According to the article I just posted the question is does she have a thing for black qbs. By the way, Marcus the boyfriend admitted to giving her drinks and shots at potbellys but you probably think winston did that. There are so many more provable facts that contradicts public opinion it’s not even funny, especially to winston.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:13 pm
I feel guilty watching it. Bunch of low lives at TMZ. Oh well live a public lifestyle and this is always a possibility. Make better decisions.
I try not to put celebrities on a pedestal. They shit just like I do. It’s just hard in this case because he is very much responsible for some of the best times of my childhood and young adult years. Sad to see him do this to himself.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:15 pm
I believe that he is wearing Buccaneers slippers or flip-flops on his feet.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:18 pm
damn son
April 20th, 2015 at 5:33 pm
Warren said the exact same things at the beginning of the video that I would say on Sunday watching the YUCS!
April 20th, 2015 at 5:36 pm
Warren Sapp totally disrespected Buccaneer fans. Why should we not return the favor?
April 20th, 2015 at 5:39 pm
StPeteBucsFan…because without Sapp, they don’t win a SB.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:46 pm
Marcus is her boyfriends name. That’s too funny. Actually I never cared what she drank or who gave it to her. I don’t think what she drank at this point matters from all the accounts I’ve read it wasn’t enough for her to be intoxicated or was it spiked. At least the toxicology test refute that. When referencing his word against hers. It’s Jameis’ defense against her allegations “his word against hers”. It’s only a matter of time before this blows over.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:49 pm
It’s only a matter of time before we start talking about football again instead of he said she said. I hope!
April 20th, 2015 at 5:51 pm
WS99 is probably, actually Warren Sapp.
Welcome my brotha.
April 20th, 2015 at 5:51 pm
Perhaps they should reserve the spot next to Sapp on the Ring of Honor for Winston.
Because, as we learn over and over for those that can play a game well, you can be a scumbag in real life.
Sapp in the ring of Honor, and Winston soon to be 50 ft tall on the side of a stadium.
Lets go for the Trifecta, isn’t Ray Rice a free agent?
Win at any cost right guys?
April 20th, 2015 at 5:52 pm
But it’s still the silly season Buc. Football seasons still four months away and we can’t talk about our draft pick till Thursday night. what else are we to talk about?
April 20th, 2015 at 5:57 pm
87
There is no way we can know that we don’t win an SB without Sapp. Depends on who played in his place…John Randle for example and the Bucs don’t miss a beat…and on how much the rest of the D picked up the slack.
Put Fameis aside for a moment. You obviously have a much higher tolerance for cheering for scumbag aholes than me. By any definition, by virtually all reports, Sapp is a consummate jerk.
Again…to those who are given a lot a lot is expected. He’d be driving a truck and still having to actually WORK for a living if he wasn’t blessed with a freakish athletic ability. And I say that as somebody who drove a semi for 3 1/2 years and so I respect truck drivers. In fact I respect all WORKING people. I have a difficult time with “celebrities” who won the ovarian lottery and believe they are special. Some of these tools could be in the jerk hall of fame…Warren Sapp and Justin Bieber immediately come to mind for that HOF.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:02 pm
he who is without sin cast the first stone. what a waste man
April 20th, 2015 at 6:04 pm
Wow, I don’t think I have ever felt sorry for Sapp before now. He is a butt head and what he did was once again, dumb. But to have your career and livelihood ruined over this is sad.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:11 pm
Or he who hasn’t been caught is casting the first stone. At least Jameis wasn’t dumb enough to record it. Or Kensington wasn’t smart enough to??? Either way theres no evidence of a crime.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:14 pm
StPeteBucsFan…in my opinion when Sapp played for the Bucs. If you asked anyone around the country that was not a Buc fan : What’s the first player that comes to mind when I say Tampa Bay Bucs?
9 out of 10 people would have said Warren Sapp.
There’s also a reason why NFL scouts are always looking for the next Warren Sapp at DT. That’s what they look for.
Some guys wait years and years, even decades to get into the HOF. Sapp went in on the first go, because he was THAT good.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:14 pm
Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom in order to become a better person. I sure hope this is rock bottom for Sapp.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:17 pm
Noo… It can get worse.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:24 pm
87
I do not dispute his talent level. He was exceptional. Again he won the ovarian lottery and was born with freakish talent.
But shame on you, you Nole. That team had two defensive players of the year.
Sapp won it once and the team reached the NFC title game. Derrick Brooks an FSU alum won it and the team made the Super Bowl.
My cousins who still live where I grew up across from Cincinnati are Bengals fans. The knew of both Sapp and DB55.
DB55 and Warrick Dunn and many others on that team, in fact the vast majority, were fun to cheer for both on and off the field. Sadly in our society athletes are looked up to as role models and are said to “represent” the city they play for. We can debate whether it should be that way but it is what it is. I was NEVER proud to have Sapp repping my fair city!!!
April 20th, 2015 at 6:24 pm
Sapp will lay low for a year or two then he should
be able to start working his way up the media ladder
again. The mans crime is that he was caught hiring
prostitutes.
I know I’ve never done that as I’m sure no one here ever has either.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:27 pm
He also seemed like he must have been on something in that video, who just gives up information like that to the police and proves their case for them and kind of is happy to talk about it
April 20th, 2015 at 6:31 pm
I seriously regret watching that video.
It’s a very sad blend between a man realizing he’s ruined his life and denying that realization.
Dude F’ed up big time.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:32 pm
“No way, no way, no way…………”
What, did the cop ask him for an autograph???
April 20th, 2015 at 6:35 pm
Well when your a fan of team that gets continually picked on, and you yourself gets picked on for being a fan of that team for years. Then along comes Sapp who starts running his mouth and talking trash, while backing it up on the field. You tend to appreciate that type of player, because you have someone speaking for you for once. Nobody could say shyte anymore about our team and Sapp was a big part of it, mouth and all. When his mouth didn’t match his play anymore I was fine with him going to Oakland.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:35 pm
@WS99 & Wifebeater,
Thr bf is Jamal Roberts. He was supposedly not in Tally at the time. Marcus is a friend of hers. In one of her versions, a WHITE friend of Marcus gave her a shot. Before that it was a short guy with dreads, I believe. Her latest version has Jameis giving her the shot.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:45 pm
You get paid millions of dollars in the NFL….to play well…..and part of that is being a good citizen representing your team and the NFL organization….that is simply the way it works….if you indulge in disgraceful behavior…you deserve the consequences. Warren Sapp will pay the price and has damaged his reputation permanently. If he were a young man (like Mike Vick) for example….he could redeem himself. But, his career is over representing the NFL or any organization involved with it.
It is sad….very sad….
April 20th, 2015 at 6:58 pm
This has been awaiting moderation so I’m going to alter it. So here goes I hope it goes through.
StPeteBucsFan…I forgot to add. Yes I do have a higher tolerance for scum bags. In fact I don’t give a rat’s behind what a player does off the field. I think I’ve made that clear over the last 3 months. I really don’t care. I watch the game to enjoy the players and the game. I don’t care about tabloid news like Justin Bieber or any celebrities life. I save that for my wife who loves to tell me about who did this and that or who married who. I could careless and she knows it, it’s one of those little things that drive me crazy about her.
April 20th, 2015 at 6:59 pm
Yea but I have a bust in canton. Immortal I am.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:01 pm
Plenty have done worse and been forgiven. Few have provided me with as much satisfaction on the field, annihilating the opposing team’s line and QB. I recall watching from my seat as Sapp merrily skipped through the opposing team’s warm-ups. I was at the Super Bowl as all of us in the Bucs section chanted “War-ren, War-ren” as we mowed down the Raiders.
Give the man another chance.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:05 pm
It is really sad when people with extraordinary talent that brings them fame develop a sense of entitlement that allows them to make such poor choices repeatedly!!!
April 20th, 2015 at 7:05 pm
I’ll say, Sapp has made some poor decisions since his career and afterwards, but man is this tough to watch. Just when you thought he had something goin after having to file bankruptcy. Well, I guess he has no one to blame but himself. Sucks.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:12 pm
BTW I agree with those who point out this is a very sad video.
And I could easily get past the bankruptcy and this go around with the hoes.
What disturbed me was the constant “attitude” towards the people who paid his salary the Buc fans.
As the Gator who loves bucs pointed out it’s hard to enjoy people with a sense of entitlement. It would be bad enough if it was Bill Gates who gave us our software or Jonas Salk or Albert Sabin who cured Polio but for people blessed with athletic talent or singing skills or happen to be cute boys that teenage girls go nuking futz over…it’s just disgusting.
But I realize all of that can go to your head. And so I finish not by trashing Sapp but by praising DB55…Warrick Dunn…Mike Alstott and guys who had all the same temptations yet did something meaningful with those gifts.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:13 pm
There is no way I can agree with you more Walkda, I was really pulling for him and he was actually entertaining to watch too. Sad!
April 20th, 2015 at 7:14 pm
So his degree was not in criminal law in college ?
This time his mouth did override his *ss.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:18 pm
Thank you for embellishing on my statement so eloquently. Well said.
And hopefully soon you guys will just be able to call me gator/buc again.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:22 pm
Give the man another chance?…..who….the NFL network?……coaching Pop Warner?
Everybody deserves another chance….after they pay the price and are sorry for their actions….and walk the straight & narrow for a while.
Simply because the man was a great football player (HOF) and nobody can take that away….it in no way excuses his actions.
Sense of entitlement….absolutely…..invincibility thinking….yes…..but also…just plain stuck on stupid!!!
April 20th, 2015 at 7:26 pm
Speaking for Pablo
“Pablo wishes Pablo hadn’t watched the video…..after Pablo saw one of Pablo’s NFL idols Aaron Hernandez convicted of murder….that was enough for Pablo to stomach in one week. Pablo is hoping Anthony Munoz and Jeff Garcia don’t do something stupid….or Pablo may just have to sedate himself with Acupulco Gold”
April 20th, 2015 at 7:28 pm
Pablo apologizes for mispelling Acapulco….
April 20th, 2015 at 7:31 pm
As long as Winston can stay out of the slammer he can do all the trash talking he wants. Imagine him mouthing off to the hypocrite Drew Brees or doing the Superman pose after scoring a TD in Charlotte or running up the score on the Dixie Chicks. We need some of that. Some payback.
Warren Sapp is an A-hole, but ultimately it was his actions that did him in more than his mouth. As long as Jameis doesn’t do any of the stupid stuff he did at FSU at the next level, on a greater scale, he can talk all he wants.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:39 pm
LEt he among you without sin..cast the 1st GD stone!!! Sap wanted sex and got himself a hooker. She..flipped the script, ask for more money and the argument started. You pay guys..one way or the other!! Not great judgement on Sapps part knowing he’s in the limelight. Just pay the women and move on. Now, he’s facing Arizona Law where they just luv humiliating a..brother!! Hope he’s got a great attorney.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:41 pm
I am pretty sure that the best thing I have Ever taught my son is that “life is nothing but a series of choices”. Nothing more true has ever been taught to me.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:45 pm
The problem with Warren is that he was a nondescriminating a-hole. I can appreciate the a-hole that plays for this team and this city and talks trash to anyone else. However, Warren could care less if you were a Bucs fan or not. It was and is always about Warren.
He is not the first player I think of when I think of the Bucs. It goes DB55, Lee Roy Selmon, John Lynch, Ronde Barber and then maybe Sapp.
April 20th, 2015 at 7:49 pm
To bad for Sapp this didn’t happen in Leon County, on the campus at FSU, and investigated by the campus police. No charges would’ve been filed, he’d be free, and you all would be blaming the Prostitutes.
#DP #HGH #PEDs #MushBrainRetard
April 20th, 2015 at 7:51 pm
@Plank
If Winston is going to have a mouth and be a cocky ba$tard with little maturity and no humility…he must be a winner because a cocky ba$tard that is a loser is a wretched soul.
I hope that if he is cocky….he’s cocky like Muhammad Ali….now there’s one likeable smart winning cocky ba$tard!!!
April 20th, 2015 at 8:02 pm
So, it turns out the Bucs did interview the lead detective from the SAO. If they draft Jameis, that should give everyone a very good clue as to the validity of her story in the eyes of the SAO office.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:10 pm
“He is not the first player I think of when I think of the Bucs.”
JBuc…I’m not saying Bucs fans. I’m saying non Bucs fans. I’ve ran into many of them in other states and when they would find out that I’m a Bucs fan. They would always bring up Sapp. I think not just because of his play either, it was the mouth too. People just associated Sapp as “the face of the franchise”. Perhaps not to some of you Buc fans, but it’s what I encountered in my travels.
Nobody has to like it, but it was true.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:22 pm
87- got ya. I understand and you are probably correct. Its just that I have had several personal interactions with the guy and can honestly say I have met very few people in my life that were so openly rude to everyone they came into contact with. As good as a player as he was, he was an equal turd off the field.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:25 pm
I still have a Sapp jersey hanging in my closet. Sapp had a big mouth and I loved it! “Here come those big,bad Bucs”!!!!!!
April 20th, 2015 at 8:29 pm
87
I take your point. I think that Sapp owes a lot of that to Brett Favre. Sapp got a lot of publicity for the jawing matches and then the love these two shared out on the field.
By the end they had mutual respect which is something I enjoyed as old school.
Again Andrew Luck congratulates defenders who get great shots on him.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:31 pm
@BuccaneEric
Given your moniker you can understand if we view you as having a conflict of interest. At least if that middle cane means what I think it does.
Hey I respect that just like I do 87’s love of Fameis. Gotta love your school.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:37 pm
Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:42 pm
I talked to a guy in the stands once. He told me that he ran into Sapp 3 different times. 2 times he was a jerk and the 3rd he was actually cool with him.
He also said he runs into people all the time that have ran into Sapp and he always got mixed reviews about his attitude towards fans. He told me it was a 50/50 deal that sometimes he was a jerk, but if you caught him at the right time could be a cool guy.
Then there’s my cousin former Bucs LS that played with Sapp, who told me recently that when he went to Sapp’s number retirement party that Sapp’s attitude had changed entirely from the Sapp that he played with. Told me about how he was getting his picture taken with all kinds of people and their kids. So perhaps he’s not as big of a jerk as he used to be.
April 20th, 2015 at 8:44 pm
StPete, lol!! No it’s not Buc Cane Eric!! It’s just Buccaneer with the “ic”on the end for Eric! I never thought it would be viewed that way! I actually root the Gators, Noles and Canes! I guess I’m wierd but with the Bucs always losing when I was a kid I just wanted to see any team from Florida actually be good!
April 20th, 2015 at 8:59 pm
BuccaneEric…you became a fan at the same time as me. 1986 was when my family moved me down here and I quickly became a fan not knowing the horrible history of the team. My first game I went to was in 1987 hence Buc1987.
April 20th, 2015 at 9:05 pm
Eric
I went to the University of Cincinnati a basketball school. With the exception of the Brian Kelly years we pretty much suck. And so I don’t have to be loyal in football and so I root as you do.
I root for the Florida school that has the best shot at glory. And so in the big FSU-UF showdown I root for whichever school has the best shot at a national title. Like you I just want glory for Florida.
April 20th, 2015 at 9:22 pm
Piss on Gators!
April 20th, 2015 at 9:22 pm
StPete, that’s the way I do it too. I always root rot the higher ranked team. I’ve got my boys doing that too! I was actually born in St. Pete and lived there till I was 10 then moved to New Port Richey till I was 20. Been in PA ever since. 87, sadly I have never been to a Bucs game. I grew up on the wrong side of middle-class and we never had money to go. Hopefully soon I plan on taking the family on a vacation down to Florida centered around going to a game. I guess I could live without going to one but I want my wife boys to see a game just to share the experience with them.
April 20th, 2015 at 9:35 pm

There is one difference between you and me 87. I never say that kind of stuff.
April 20th, 2015 at 9:35 pm
Eric did you go to Gulf High?
April 20th, 2015 at 9:38 pm
Really I have a piss on Gators sticker on the window of one of my cars. They can be bought ya know. I didn’t event it or be the first one to say it.
April 20th, 2015 at 9:40 pm
He was framed… Anyone with that many sacks and tackles for a loss must be innocent…
I still have love for you Warren… I am going to miss you on the NFL network…
Next time just pay the money and tip for once…
He just got his child support and alimony payments reduced… He better hurry up and get them reduced again quick…
April 20th, 2015 at 9:48 pm
87, Gulf High Buccaneers!! Yes I did , class of 93
April 20th, 2015 at 9:56 pm
BuccaneEric…Ah I just missed you then. I was Class of 89.
April 20th, 2015 at 9:59 pm
Small world, 87, small world!
April 20th, 2015 at 10:06 pm
I’m pretty sure I was the only one in that school that wore Bucs t shirts and my Vinny jersey. Actually I know I was. I got picked on quite a bit for it. I hung out with the trouble makers anyways (shocker I know) most of my friends dropped out or got kicked out. I was close to being kicked out a few times. Spent a lot of time in, in school suspension. I was a rich kid though as my mom’s bf of 20 years was a millionaire when we moved down here. I lived in the back of Gulf Harbors in a big gawdy house by the beach. Until he died and that was the end of that. I once drove his Rolls Royce to Gulf High while he was up north on business. My teacher Mrs Detlefson told me she would give me extra credit if I dressed up in the Buccaneers mascot costume for one football game and I did.
I felt like a fool, but no one knew who I was anyways. Plus I just moved down here and barely knew anybody.
April 20th, 2015 at 10:15 pm
I remember Detlefson. Do you remember Mr. Schafer? That might have been Gulf Middle school though.
April 20th, 2015 at 10:23 pm
Ithat Jameis Winston or Warren Sapp.Mariota is on his way to Tampa.
April 20th, 2015 at 10:23 pm
Oh yah I remember Schafer. Nope it was HS. Detlefson was one of the only teachers that actually cared about her students. That school was lacking good teachers in my opinion. She was not one of them. She pretty much got me through high school. I had a lot of long talks with her about all kinds of stuff.
April 20th, 2015 at 10:28 pm
I remember Schafer being a hard a$$! I did something in class that I’m not proud of and I won’t repeat here, but he made me write a 2000 word paper about why I need to pay attention in class! Boy was that hard! He threatened me with suspension if I didnt. Needless to say, I never got suspended in school!!
April 20th, 2015 at 10:34 pm
He taught world history I think. I can barely see his face. It’s been a long time, but I remember him being a dick too. As you can see I didn’t get along with that many teachers. i always fought against the grain and hated school.
Oh well this is nothing Buc-related so we better stop talking like it’s a chat room….right Joe. lol
April 20th, 2015 at 10:39 pm
He taught typing when I was there!! Your right about the chat room thing. My phones gonna die so I gotta go. Good night all.
April 21st, 2015 at 1:06 am
Sad to see. Turned it off. Don’t like seeing people brought low. Hope he does his penance, and can rise above this
April 21st, 2015 at 1:23 am
And like it or not Sapp was also becoming big on the NFL Network too
All just like that… Poof
April 21st, 2015 at 9:40 am
it seems to have been a long time coming for a guy who has lived the way warren has lived. this is not his first late night tiff and i would bet it’s not his first business transaction of this type. still….why are videos like these public? how does this serve the public interest?
April 21st, 2015 at 10:30 am
He messed up and never should have put himself in that situation and now he will continue to pay for it for the rest of his life. Still he was a great football player for us and I loved going to the games and watching him play. 99 WAS A BEAST !!!!!!!! Stupid move though.
April 21st, 2015 at 12:53 pm
People live
People learn
Time will bring Sapp back to the NFL media platform.
Guaranteed
April 21st, 2015 at 1:21 pm
Prostitution is the worlds oldest profession, and “deals” like these go on every day, across America. Another reason why it should be legalized.
Did not Marv Albert, or was it Bob Costas, get caught doing some very kinky sh** once ?
Seems to me that they are both still on the air ?
I hope time will pass, and we will see Sapp on the air again, because I felt he did a good job.
His personal life is his business, as far as I am concerned. I could care less if he felt he had to buy some tail, or if he got arrested for it.
