Josh Freeman Signs With Dolphins

Former Buccaneers franchise quarterback, leaky, sleepy Josh Freeman, appears to have a new team, the Miami Dolphins.
Greg Likens, who works for the Dolphins’ official website, was Twittering about an imminent signing earlier today. And longtime NFL writer Mike Freeman, of BleacherReport.com, claims it’s a done deal, a one-year contract.
Joe’s happy for Freeman. His camp clearly had interest around the league, otherwise Freeman would have been at the inaugural NFL veterans combine last month in Phoenix. Freeman worked out for the Jets in March, and the Dolphins signing sort of comes out of left field.
Remember, Dolphins general manager Dennis Hickey was former Bucs rockstar general manager Mark Dominik’s right hand man in Tampa.
The Bucs play the Dolphins every year in preseason, which means Freeman, if he’s still on the Dolphins’ roster, would be getting all kinds of playing time against the Bucs. That sure would be fun.

Freeman. For five years I thought he just might be a franchise QB. Things went horribly wrong at the end but he had shown some flashes.

I sincerely hope Free has overcome & recovered from his Adderall addiction at this point (and the associated side effects; look them up and tell me that doesn’t describe Freeman’s issues the last year or whatever)…. If he has, then maybe his natural ability to process information has returned and he’ll be able to be a quality QB again…. It’s a shame that he was taking adderall for so long and I’m sure somebody advised him to do so in the beginning…. SMH. I wish him well

Freeman was referred to as a franchise quarterback up until the year he got cut. I liked Freeman for the same reason people hate him, so much potential he took for granted and pissed in the wind. I bet he looked up one day after watching the bucs, laughing at our quarterbacks he looked up and said damn what did I do, hopefully he’s learned where he went wrong. Vincent Jackson had the most passing yards of his entire career with Freeman under center but just don’t think the guy is confident in himself. That being said I don’t know how hell make this roster, Matt moore seems more stable more consistent

Good luck and fortunes in Miami. I hope the timing this time is good for him! In my opinion his down fall with us was squarely on his broad shoulders and he has exorcised the demons and has his stuff together. Shiano was not the problem it was Josh. Hopefully he has figured out he has to be a pro on and off the field.

I’m surprised the bucs never used those black ones. I thought those looked pretty mean. As a 3rd jersey, mix in with the orange once in awhile. These Casio alarm clock ones are OK with all dark n red socks but meh what can ya do?

I really prefer the “Orange” uniforms. The helmet is so cool. They could alter the images on the helmet so a skeleton has a knife in mouth.

i have no problem with free getting another shot. never said he didn’t have talent. my beef was he laided down/pu$$ed out. doesn’t mean with the right environment he might do well.

I’m a bit conflicted. Josh did show some flashes in his time as a Buc, and if he has as they say exerorcized his personal demons then he deserves a shot. That said the way he deliberately tanked the Bucs and caused so much chaos I find t hard to ever root for this guy or care what happens to him. My guess is he’ll be cut before preseason starts…I just don’t think he has the mental fortitude for the position at an NFL level.

The current uniforms are extremely hideous. Now we don’t even ‘look’ good. The Glazers flat out butchered some of the best uniforms in the NFL for the current garbage.
