“Adds More Juice To The Game”

December 17th, 2014

Packersfans

Prepare for at least 30,000 cheese-infused, green-clad Packers fans to the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway on Sunday.

Expect it to be as ugly as the Steelers-Bucs game in Tampa in 2010, or the last Bucs playoff game.

That’s right. Joe’s still scarred by the enormous sea of blue in attendance for the Bucs-Giants playoff game in January 2008.

Don’t worry, though, Josh McCown is used to playing for franchises that don’t win a lot of games and are invaded by opponents’ fans. McCown said this afternoon at One Buc Palace that his seasons in Arizona (2002-2005) got him used that kind of home-game-turned-road-game experience.

“It adds more juice to the game,” McCown said today.

So there you have it, Bucs fans, McCown knows how to handle a hostile home turf.

Keep calm.

Don’t believe the hype. GB only has fat chicks.

  2. mike Says:

It will be nice to go to RayJay and see a good football team for once.

  3. Mike Says:

30,000 pack fans???? 45-50,000 pack fans is the real number. Think 1997 at the sombrero. Tickets selling for 3 times value right now and those aren’t BUC fans looking for tickets. Been a ticket holder for 19 years and CANT go because last Sunday before Christmas. Sold tickets for 3 1/2 value.

  4. Skyline Crew for Mariota or Winston Says:

Look on the bright side…Packers are 0-2 when coming to Tampa.

  5. Buccfan37 Says:

Packer fans have something to cheer about. If they are the majority at RJS, that makes sense. They have always brought big crowds into Tampa. Hopefully it will be bright and sunny, so the Packer fans can get their near winter tans.

  6. Sambron Says:

If I lived in Tampa I would be there representing! Unfortunately Im in Philly surrounded by these scumbag Eagles fans!!

  7. biff barker Says:

In all probability the Bucs will have zero home wins this season.

But don’t worry, McCown will be juiced!

  8. Florida Hillbilly Says:

A lot of season ticket holders have sold their tickets to GB fans, this will be a home game for the Packers. #1 draft pick, Go Bucs!

  9. RealityCheck Says:

I’ll be there. I’m actually looking forward to seeing an all star QB perform. It’ll be a nice change to see football played at the highest level for once.

i went to that ravens game when everyone was out the door at halftime. it was pretty purple

  11. Tye Says:

The Bus owner should take notice of their stadium having so many seats filled… It won’t happen for this team until they hire a HC that is able to build a winning team worth the money to come out and support…

I love the “cheeseheads”! Their colors are green and gold and that’s what they bring to our community this weekend and before and after…green…and gold..as in $$$$ They are nice fans who are respectful. Welcome to all Wisconsinites and thanks for your $$$ investment in our community.

I grew up a Packers and used to ride my bike to watch them practice in 1976-77 it was pretty cool as a kid. Then moved to Tampa in 1977 where I was actually able to attend Bucs games and was hooked as a Buccaneers fan and never looked back ever since. I always enjoyed the battle of the Bay games at the old sombrero. Just saying I love my Bucs but the Packers have a classy organization

  14. greg Says:

I also think it will be closer to 40-45K Packer fans….We decided to keep our tickets and go…guess for the same reason that you slow down to watch a car wreck. I don’t blame anyone for selling their tickets though…gotta recoup what you can

  15. Jim Says:

I say that the local businesses should double and triple their prices and fleece the cheeseheads.
