Two Moments Of Pride

Consistency is everything in the NFL.

Greg Schiano used to scream repeatedly, “Do your job!” Lovie Smith says it nicely and kindly.

But the message is the same. When players do their jobs, magic happens. Per the Bucs, running backs had seven plays of 10 or more yards against the Panthers. If there was only some consistency …

Even in this toilet flush of a season, Bucs fans can smile, especially with the help of an excellent film breakdown by Buccaneers.com. Anthony Becht, in this video look, dives into the nuances of Charles Sims embarrassing Luke Kuechly on Sunday, and the amazing team effort that led to Doug Martin’s 63-yard, first-quarter run.

If the video study of those two plays doesn’t make you smile, well, then you might need medical attention — or a new team.

Nice move, but he’s carrying that rock like a loaf of bread.

  2. Tom Edrington Says:

    Wow, two plays!

    Can’t beat that, can you?

One for each win this year.

Always with something positive, ehh bigpoppa and Tom. Hope you are or have raised your kids that way, too. The world is always going to need fast food workers.

Sims needs to protect the football better. Drives me crazy.

He also held it in his right arm on the left side. Poor technique.

What was he being taught all season? Seems to me that should be a fundamental.

I thought nobody cared about pride and only wanted to lose out though…

    ddneast,

You’re so positive you claimed those of us that don’t like the crap sandwich Lovie is serving are racists. NOW THAT’S POSITIVITY!

  7. Robert 9 Says:

no worries lightnin, he’s out lootin right now. be back in a bit to comment on your racism. lol

  8. Jim Says:

These running backs need to move the ball in their towards the sideline! Both runs failed to execute this fundamental part of running the football, Simms was lucky that was not a turnover!

  9. ddneast Says:

LOL, I happen to be a college educated White Anglo Saxon Protestant, much like Bill O’Reily except he is Catholic.
No, Robert 9, what you said about looting wasn’t a racist statement at all.
Can I assume you are a serial killer or a mass murderer since a large preponderance of them are white.
You ignorant morons and your asinine comments full of loathing and hate are just so pathetic

  10. Robert 9 Says:

I’m glad you’re college educated, but that doesn ‘t mean you’re brighter than a 40watt. More like mommy spoon fed you and now you’ve grown up to be a better than thou, do no wrong, everyone’s a racist libtard. IMO anyway

but let’s be civil. I, like you am so tired of reading hatred.

“well, then you might need medical attention — or a new team.” I think most of us want a new team, one that wins!

I think everybody needs to chill the eff out regardless of what way you feel. I love football and the Buccaneers. I grew up watching every sport, watching 150 Orioles games every year on TV (or listening on the radio before HTS had them on every night) and attending another 10-12. I watched the Redskins every week up here in DC for a long long time and just about any other game that was aired. Basketball, hockey, boxing, etc, I watched it like a hawk… but now all I watch is football, that’s it. And I’m fine with that. I don’t have another sport to tide me over, when the football season’s over I start to focus on the Senior Bowl, then the draft, then I look forward to mini-camps, etc. So one would think because my teams sucks that my life is in the crapper but that isn’t the case. NFL fans are so stupid. They pound their chests when their team, that they chose for whatever reason, wins, and they freak out when they lose.

It’s just a game, fellas. It’s a wonderful game, and it sucks that we aren’t winning more, but seriously, how bad are your lives that you live to spew hatred constantly? Find an healthier outlet, please! This is getting ridiculous.

The Bucs have been disappointing for sure but especially this time of the year, we should all take a moment to look at all of the good things in our lives. I know I can get pessimistic often when things do not go my way but I have a career, home, clothes, food, family and my health. That is more good things than dealing with being a fan of crappy football teams. There are children fighting cancer as I type this, so I will count my blessings for sure. It is frustrating being a Bucs fan and I know that we all have opinions of what needs to be done or who we need to go get on this team to be relevant again but just remember that this is football and not life or death. Everyone I assume wants to see the Bucs become winners again, otherwise I do not know why we spend time on this site. So, I am for one going to respect everyone else’s opinions just as I appreciate my opinions being respected. So regardless of if posts are negative (which is just frustration) or positive about the state of this team and what moves should be made, I for one am going to continue to do my best to treat other fans opinions with respect. Haters will always be amongst us but if those of us who do not want to spread hate endure haters without retaliating with our own hateful responses, then there will be that much less hate. Regardless of beliefs, treating others the way you want to be treated tends to work more often than not.

Was very pleased to see these posts take a turn for the better. This team certainly deserves criticism, but constructive criticism enlightens all of us.
BTW, my favorite spoon fed meal when I was growing up was ice cream. Neopolitan. It still is.
