Greg Olsen Does It Again

Apparently, Lovie Smith and the Bucs defense didn’t learn from the first meeting with the Stinking Panthers that tight end Greg Olsen is talented.
Want to know how awful the Bucs have been coached up this year?
Today’s game is Exhibit-A.
The Bucs are marching towards the top pick in next spring’s draft. They are 2-12. By any measure, Lovie Smith’s charges have deserved an “F” grade for coaching.
Terrible.
Joe had thought, backed up by numbers, that the defense has greatly improved since the bye week. But today suggest thoses numbers were misleading, as stats can always be.
Consider in Week 1 with a backup quarterback (the No. 4 quarterback in the NFC South?), journeyman Derek Anderson, Stinking Panthers tight end Greg Olsen burned the Bucs right and left with eight catches totaling 83 yards and a touchdown.
You would think, surely, the Bucs this time around would be prepared for Olsen, given that not only do they have tape on him, but you know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me?
Well, shame of Lovie’s Smith’s defense.
Olsen not just burned the Bucs today, he outdid himself from the season-opener. Olsen had 110 yards on 10 catches.
Way to adjust, Lovie. Way to make sure a talented tight end doesn’t burn you again. Shame on the defensive coaching staff!

We have let teams burn us with over the middle passes all year long….and we don’t know how to throw one….

Im still on the lovie bandwagon. The defense only gave up one td and thats bc our qb turned it over near the endzone. Offseason priorities:
-Quarterback ( winston or mariota)
– offensive coordinator
– OLINE!
– replace micheal johnson. Which i doubt will happen.

which is worse, Lovie or the Glazers. both had tape on record and obviously neither paid much attention to it.
The Glazers need to hire someone head of football operations and get out of the selection process. Maybe hire Father Dungy as president. Make him responsible for the GM and the Coach.
The Glazers will not eat Lovies contract and so it will be more of the same next year. and if he goes 8 and 8, Lovie will be here for 5 years.
Well, there is always good high school football to watch.

The one bright spot for me today watching the Bucs tank again is that I started Olson in my PPR semifinal game and he netted me a boatload of points with the 10 catches and 110 yards of offense. Just knew that the defense were going to let him have a huge day like week 1. So much for making adjustments tampa Bay. Tough being a Bucs fan right now….

Wake me up from this nightmare after Lovie is handed his pink slip from Team Glazer. Swept by the Stinking Panthers…probably will go 0-6 in the historically bad NFC South…how can ownership look fans in the eyes and honestly say keeping Smith is the best move!?

It isn’t that we don’t know how to throw over the middle, it is we don’t know where McCown is going to throw it when he throws it any where and over the middle is almost a sure interception instead of a possible one.

You bet and if it is not a backup qb it is usually a scrub WR like Harry Douglas of the Falcons who has career days every time the Bucs play the ATL only to disappear off the radar vs everyone else. One could win their fantasy football leagues by starting these scrubs every time they play the Bucs. Of course one would be pretty rich right now if they simply bet against the Yuks on the moneyline in Vegas every week. This week was pretty rewarding only having to lay down $160 on Carolina to win $100… The Bucs do cover spreads though as the late TD by McNown actually cost a lot of degenerates some coin….

Lovie doesnt think Olsen can play… thats why he traded him from Chicago for a second rd pick. I know Olsen has not been to the pro bowl, but he has played at a pro bowl level every year.
