Yes, super-talented, 24-year old quarterback Robert Griffin, III, has been benched and many believe his days in Washington are finished.
The Buccaneers, to be kind, could use a new starting QB.
So is RGIII a potential fit for Tampa Bay?
Former Redskins and Texans general manager Charley Casserly, of NFL Network, said on WDAE-AM 620 today he believes the Redskins will look to trade RGIII. He talked about what kinds of teams might be a fit. It comes down to the coaching staff and how they want to use RGIII, he said.
Of course, the Bucs’ offensive coaching staff is a bit of a mess after Jeff Tedford was shut down with heart trouble. Who knows where the Bucs might turn for an offensive coordinator.
Casserly broke down Xs and Os on RGIII and called him a lesser Colin Kaepernick.

RGIII is crap, Glennon is better by a rather wide margin so why acquire a QB who is worse than a guy you already have on your roster?

I think a season or 2 sitting behind a veteran QB and getting completely healthy might do him some good. He’s still a talented guy but was under a whole lot of pressure to produce immediately in Washington after they gave up all of those draft picks to get him. If the Bucs can get him for a 4th rd pick I’d say go for it.

Dude is fragile and cant play, his size/style of play does not translate well to the NFL. He is even worse since the knee injury. Doesn’t even run the same.
He is not a good NFL QB, I wouldnt send any draft picks to the Redskins for him.

You think RGIII is gonna accept being on the bench for 2 or 3 years? The guy threw his team under the bus after his horrific performance against us. Seriously click the link I provided, he was absolutely awful and blamed mostly everyone else. Pathetic leader
He’s a malcontent and a diva. I would seriously rather bring Freeman back than let RGIII anywhere near this team.

coach killer. these super talented scramblers who are injury prone and lack fundamentals (i.e. not guys like russel wilson or aaron rodgers, but guys like RG3 & vick) always cause divides within the locker room and fan base, with half the people blaming the coach for holding back the guy’s talent while the other half realize the player’s game must evolve. jay gruden knows how this movie ends if RG3 stays on the washington roster and is walking away as fast as he can.

The Redskins are about as pathetic as the Bucs, maybe more so. Talk about personnel changes, that woeful team changes pieces as much as a chameleon changes color. RG3 as a Buc? Scary and not in a good way.

I do not want a running QB!!! I’d like a QB who could run however. It’s the difference between Colin Kaepernik, perhaps the best runner of all QB’s and Aaron Rodgers who IS the best QB who can also move.
And Rodgers does it very efficiently and safely. He is incredibly graceful and deceptively quick and speedy and he picks his spots brilliantly.
I think Russell Wilson is similar to Rodgers but he can’t throw it as well. I’d take either as our starting QB however.

Luck: 26 TDs, 19 INTs
Rodgers: 32 TDs, 13 INTs (But this was his 4th year, 1st as starter)

RGIII Sucks right now, but he can be rebuilt. He still has the tools that made him special but perhaps a new situation, new expectations, could really help them out. A lot of QBs have resurfaced after fizzling out with their first teams, many have won Super Bowls.
There are other young QBs that will also be available, RGIII isn’t as of now but these guys will be.
Jake Locker (extremely athletic, productive last season, injury prone)
Christian Ponder (athletic checkdown artist)
Blaine Gabbert (has the tools but has never gotten it)
Mark Sanchez (pretty good tools, a few decent years in NY, not a potential franchise QB)
Brian Hoyer (as of right now he is a free agent, very gutsy game managing winner)
Ryan Mallett (Glennon-like but with an actual cannon)
Colt McCoy (mobile and accurate, showed serious moxie his first season in Cleveland)
Geno Smith (may be getting cut, has been a disaster thus far but has good tools)
and no, I didn’t include Michael Vick nor Jimmy Clausen. One’s old and not good anymore, and the other’s just never been good.

Both of you are smoking crack on Sundays. Josh mccown is garbage and so is Glennon. Good coaching? Head coaches don’t teach quarterbacks how to throw accurately, already when mccown throws the ball is actually where it’s supposed to be. Good coaching doesn’t teach you to be calm under pressure is a talent and this line is so horrible. Bucs are 5 games away from drafting a quarterback and Glennon is back on the bench and idiots are still talking about Glennon could be a top 10 qb? Is this your advice is that what you see. Damn I’m so glad you have nothing to do with the roster and this team. Amazing how little people actually know about football

I’ll take him with a 4th or 5th round. It won’t hurt at all. Lovie is a veteran coach that can handle him.
