It’s A Groin Injury For Gerald McCoy
November 12th, 2014The Bucs’ defensive leader missed practice today.
Lovie Smith said it was a groin injury that sidelined Gerald McCoy this afternoon.
It wasn’t painted as a serious ailment, but a missed practice for McCoy is not routine. This surely is a situation worth monitoring. The backup plan is to move Clinton McDonald into McCoy’s spot and have Akeem Spence start at nose tackle.
Back on the practice field was high-priced free agents Anthony Collins, Michael Johnson and Alterraun Verner.

Any news on Charles Sims starting?
He looked good the last game, nothing spectacular (espeically since he fumbled) but you can tell he is just a more fluid athlete than rainey and can catch the ball.
Hope to see him start and get 15-18 carries against the Redskins

Maybe Gerald can take this time to rest his tongue as well.
Besides I thought LVD was the undisputed leader of the D?

BTW, nice to see the perennially injured FA club make an appearance!

No. Lovie won’t talk about who may start.

If Sims can do half of what he did in college in the NFL he will be a beast.

this guy is hurt again?? and they paid him how much?
and he has not done squat since his one dominant game in preseason.
i was high on GMC, now he just seems like a guy who like to talk and get hurt.

@JOE
“The BUCS defensive leader missed practice today.”…. Says who? You might want to fix that. Maybe he’s the YUCS most overrated player. Or most talkative player. Just because you talk the loudest and talk the most doesn’t make you a leader.#54 is the defensive leader. Bar none.

The ice cream man is hurt again?
And YES let’s stop calling mccoy the leader 54 has that title locked down.

The entire Bucs defense has a lower groin injury this year, it seems…..
November 12th, 2014 at 9:10 pm
I just can not see this defense stopping RG3 lobbing the ball to Desean Jackson, Pierre Garcon and Jordan Reed while Al Morris rushes for big chunks of yards and ****ing Roy Helu gets in the act by ripping off some yards via the screen when RG3 dumps the ball off when GMC (if he plays) does manage to get by the double teams and pressure RG3…. The question is whether the Bucs get embarrassed 42-10 or actually put some points up and then let the defense choke it away 34-28….. Its now not a question of if they have a chance of winning (they don’t) its just a matter of HOW the Bucs will lose this week: defense, special teams, or offense or maybe a combo of the 3?!??!?!!?

Perhaps McCoy realizes the tank job is in place…sans groin injury.
