“Beer” Makes The Difference

So what’s a wilder atmosphere for the visiting team? A crazy Thursday Night Football crowd in the Georgia Dome or a 1 o’clock Sunday Saints fiesta at the SuperDome?
Bucs right tackle Demar Dotson has the answer.
“It’s not much different. New Orleans is a little more rowdier. I think they be drinking that beer,” Dotson said. “You know, and they just be excited. I think that, you know, they feed off it a little more than the Falcons do. So it’s going to be a challenge, but we’re going to prepare ourselves for it. We need that second win in a tough environment.”
Ahh, yes. Those Saints fans to like to drown themselves in alcohol and crawfish.
On another lighter note, Dotson is from Louisiana and said he buys tickets for lots of family and friends. But that leaves him frustrated because they all cheer for the Saints.
Consider this fun fact: With Sean Payton as head coach, who was suspended for 2012, the Saints haven’t lost a home game since the Bucs beat them to close the 2010 regular season.
Yeah, it’s a brutal place to go get a win. Mike Glennon and the Bucs were clobbered there 42-17 to end the New Schiano Order.

They said that about going in to Seattle too but we nearly did it with a lesser team and a lesser coach. I’m holding out hope

I have been drinking “that beer” too watching this team play. Drowning myself in hops!!! The bad losses and mistakes have made me start drinking again. Cheers to you Demar!!!!

Joe didn’t the Falcons game close out the 2012 season? Pretty sure the Bucs got blanked in their last 2012 appearance against the Saints.

Say what you want about Dotson, the dude can flat out play. He’s been by far the best o-lineman the Bucs have had IN ACTION in years. Yes, better than MIA Nicks and overrated Joseph. He should be moved to LT, which would better suit his skill set and play to his strengths.

Dotson is right, hell you can get a drink 24-7 in New Orleans, definitely no 1:00 rule on Sundays there. You can walk into a convenience store and load up on fifths of your liquor of choice anytime. Love to see the Bucs make a game of it, but that is a tough place to win but since the Saints are 1-3 perhaps the Bucs can get the rowdy fans to turn on the home team if they can get off to a hot start like they did in Pittsburgh. An opening scoring drive by the Bucs, a few Saints penalties and/or perhaps a couple of Brees turnovers or a Colston fumble ought to get the crowd booing pretty quick as the @ss-kicking they had in Dallas is fresh on the fans mind; booze will just fan that ugly sentiment!
