“Comfortable” Marcus Arroyo

Whether the Bucs line to admit it or not, the offense is now defined by Marcus Arroyo.

Whether the Bucs like to admit it or not, the offense is now defined by Marcus Arroyo.

These are tough times for Bucs fans. Just look at the win-loss record. Sales of TUMS are up in the bay area, as is alcohol consumption.

So, what to make of what has been a miserable offense when Bucs fans were promised the “Dunkaneers?” Joe is wondering himself.

So, as we close the week, we enter the night with Olivia Stacey of TBO.com ,who has the lowdown on the man now responsible for the Bucs offense in lieu of Jeff Tedford, Marcus Arroyo.

    Poor Mikey.

  2. Buccfan37 Says:

poor Mikey? you talking about MG? This is a huge opportunity for Glennon to step up for the Bucs and extend his future as the Bucs QB. Sure, it’s looking like an uphill battle with the surrounding cast’s prior outings sticking out like a sore thumb. As long as MG stays standing and does’nt get slobberknockered into a crumpled heap, he will play well.

  3. WalkdaPlank Says:

Glennon is getting thrown to the wolves…. again. Make no mistake about it. If he can find success in this clown circus, he can find success in any offense. But he’ll probably be running for his life again.

  4. Mr. Mudge Says:

I like Glennon, but he is what he is, and he isn’t an elite QB talent. I’m also a defense-first fan, but I want an offense that aims to move the ball up and down the field through the air. We need a QB in the draft.

  5. DB55 Says:

Olivia Stacy. Best thing I’ve seen on here all week. 😉

  6. MR. T Says:

I’m afraid Tedfords absence will be haunting all year if indeed he is out that long. I don’t care whose at QB, dreadful play calling will make it almost impossible to succeed. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow, if the play calling is bad then we need to bring in a vet OC to try and salvage something out of this season.

  7. Mike10 Says:

I’m in school in Hattiesburg, proud home of Brett Favre and your USM Eagle. You should hear the talk here about their former WR coach/OC now the OC for an NFL team. USM has been garbage team as they went 0-12 in 2012 and then 1-11 the next year while Arroyo was there. They’re factoring in an auto 2 divisional wins for ‘their’ Saints after starting 0-2.
It’s gonna get worse before it gets better…

  8. Louis Friend Says:

I can’t tell you who the offensive coordinator is going to be in 2015, but it won’t Marcus Arroyo. Too bad about Tedford, but the team won’t be bringing him back in that capacity next year. It’s too great of a risk.

  9. Louis Friend Says:

BTW, Arroyo needs to eat a meal or something. Dude looks like he’s trying to be a Dungy impersonator.

  10. Andrew 1 Says:

Anybody get a look at the QB Worley from Tenn? Dude was very impressive. If he keeps playing like that he’ll be a first rounder for sure, and make yet another option for us. Wouldn’t mind having that guy as our franchise QB. Got the size, speed, and accuracy that scouts like. We’ll see.

  11. Andrew 1 Says:

Also keep an eye out for Syracuse QB Terrel Hunt. He’s like a Vince Young, only a better passer.

  12. Dan Says:

Why would we not hire a new oc it’s only week 4 and Marcus has no NFL experience. This is a no brainier. And don’t tell me installing a new offense is worse than letting this guy call plays again.

  13. Capt.Tim- whatever Says:

I can’t imagine that hey aren’t looking to hire a new OC.
Tedford cannot be counted on .
Either way. His loss will prove crippling this year.

  14. Brandon Says:

Yes, he’s comfortable. There is great comfort in knowing what is coming next. Run, run, pass, punt, run, run, pass, punt, repeat for 4 quarters.

  15. Pete 422 Says:

    “Hmm…3rd & 1….let’s run a slow developing pitch play…”

  16. Jim Says:

The Stinkaneers will be come the Dinkaneers under the helm of Glennon. At least Lovie will find out Glennon is NOT the QB of the future, let alone the QB of the present.

  17. Macabee Says:

If we’re looking for an OC, my opinion, look no further than Scott Frost at the University of Oregon. Frost, 39, is a young successful OC at who plays the up-tempo style of offense that resembles what I can make of the new Bucs offense.

Jeff Tedford, should he come back, should be given the old Jimmy Raye title of SR. Offensive Assistant and have him mentor a new young OC who comes from a system similar to what Tedford wants to do here at the Bucs.

Frost is a Chip Kelly protégé and is even a former Buc under Jon Gruden. He is ready to move to the next level and would make the perfect student for Tedford. The pieces are already in place to bring that Oregon high octane offense to the Bucs and if we’re lucky maybe Mariota comes with him. Now how good would that be?

  18. RastaMon Says:

Call your own game Marcus ….relax and take the Steelers defense apart…play by play

  19. buc4lyfe Says:

    @WalkdaPlank

Getting thrown to the wolves? What kind of logic is that? He’s working with the same weapons mcclown had and being the 4th the play caller is better than he was the provide 3 weeks, he has all his weapons, all his lineman Doug Martin and bobby Rainey so get rid of your excuses and judge Glennon by the way Glennon plays.

MGM THE EXCUSES ARE ALREADY BEING PREPARED? doesn’t sound like you believe in this guy at all, he’s just the best we got on THIS roster

  20. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Says:

I swear to God, I hope Glennon lights up the Steelers, we win, and start to turn this season around.
IMHO, this game is going to tell a lot about us.
We have had 10 days to prepare, and have gotten a lot of injured players back.

  21. Touch_Down_Tampa_Bay Says:

AMEN!!!! buc4lyfe!!!!! I have nothing else to add…

  22. ruggyup Says:

From the sublime to the ridiculous, Charlie Weis is availavble to fix the offense.
