Joe Talks Tailgating, Buzzsaws, Martin Impact, Dink & Dunk, Selling Out Glennon & More
September 26th, 2014
Joe got extra fired up for his weekly podcast with the smooth toned Ronnie Lane, of the Buccaneers Radio Network and WDAE-AM 620.
All kinds of topics were touched on in rapid-fire succession.
Enjoy.

Good segment Joe!

I think LeBeau prob saw that short cornerback get burned too which means he will prob give him some help. Send VJ down and see where the help is coming from and what weakness that exposes then exploit it.

@ Joe, at least this guy lets you talk and make your point.. Nice..
September 26th, 2014 at 3:01 pm
Wow, what a difference. This was much, much more enjoyable then Joe and that other guy interviews. More football oriented, I liked it.

The Tampa Bay “Dinkaneers”…
September 26th, 2014 at 3:22 pm
By the way, Ronnie lane has joined the “I refuse to say REDSKINS” club. Ugh
September 26th, 2014 at 3:35 pm
Thanks for the kind words, guys. Glad you liked it.

lets go bucs , lets get this win. im tired of all this negativity this week , were making it seem like pittsburgh its a legit team, when in fact their not. one win changes everything and the steelers are a great example of it, we all forgot how bad they looked against the ravens two weeks ago just because they beat carolina, go bucs go glennon.
September 26th, 2014 at 5:54 pm
@Joe Dunn…it’s a racial slur by dictionary definition. Learning that fact, for me, changed everything completely. That’s a line that should not be crossed.
September 26th, 2014 at 6:03 pm
How about this for negativity think about the Seattle game lol the bucs and Glennon were only exciting in the first half, I’m prepared to laugh first half and cry the second
September 26th, 2014 at 6:57 pm
Well Warren..I learned it too and still say… who cares? Leave the Redskins, the Seminoles, Atlanta Braves and all the rest alone. It’s not just the Redskins you know. So silly all this political correctness in today’s America. It actually does more harm than good imo. What harm does it cause for Atlanta to be called the Braves
Actually 20% care. 20% of NFL fans polled think the Redskins should change their name. I don’t see it changing anytime soon. I’m part of those 80%.
September 26th, 2014 at 7:22 pm
dang this is the first of these i’ve seen… love hearing Joe talk (not in a gay way)
September 26th, 2014 at 7:31 pm
The difference between he names, Indians, Braves and Seminoles are those names are not racist references, pale faces.
Now, how do you think you would feel if a team was called the ‘Crackers, or the Whiteys, or, taking us back in time, the Honky’s.
Personally, I really don”t think anyone really cares about this except the media who needs topics to stir up the population about. I’ll believe this is a big deal when I see a couple of Tribes of Indians protesting the name in front of the stadium on Sunday.
Of course that won” t happen because most of the tribes are counting the Saturday night profits from their casinos on Sunday morning.
September 26th, 2014 at 7:41 pm
That was really impressive Joe (Lee). I enjoyed every talking point and your explanations were dead on. I’m glad you have taken your knee out of the back of Glennon’s neck and decided to step back a little and give him this opportunity. Things always come into better focus when you look at them with eyes wide open. When you hate, you only see things the way you want to see them. It clouds your judgement.
September 26th, 2014 at 7:50 pm
@Bucs1987 not to get into a big back and forth over this but poll numbers? Really? America is based on equality and justice for all. Principles. Not polls. Or there would still be a segregated south. Democracy is just the tyranny of the masses, without equal protection under the law. Look at all those places who gained “freedom” in the middle east because of democratically held elections. They had no protections in place for the ethnic or religious minorities and underclasses and the result was atrocity after atrocity. Sorry for getting a little soapboxy here. End rant
September 26th, 2014 at 7:52 pm
*edit for clarity: they were said to have gained freedom because democratic elections were held.
September 26th, 2014 at 10:02 pm
Warren I agree with you, the name should be changed. If Native Americans find it offensive then the freakin name needs to be changed because it IS a racial slur. Buc1987 you sound like a narrow minded Jack A$$.
September 26th, 2014 at 11:02 pm
They should just change it to the Skins, and their logo can be inner city DC kids without their shirts on, playing hoops. Also.. How the heck have the Cleveland Indians dodged this bullet?
September 26th, 2014 at 11:17 pm
@Warren and Idiot Albert ( two obvious LIBERALS)WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME SOMEONE CALLED AN AMERICAN INDIAN A REDSKIN AS A RACIST TERM? In you’re lifetimes? Have you ever heard it before? Have either one of you two ever heard the term Redskin used as a racist term towards an american indian in your entire lives? I mean as in anyone in your in your entire life? If NOT then gimme an effing break already and simmer down you over sensitive LIBERALS!
It’s not the same as the N word. Not even close. Nor should it offend all that many native americans of today. BUT you say” it’s a line that should never be crossed.” Like it’s the same as the N word and it should offend all native americans and that’s simply not true.
I grew up with MANY native americans. Trust me none of them were ever offended by the name and some of them were REDSKINS fans just because of the name. That was Massachusetts and not D.C. either. The liberal capital of America. I can smell a liberal from miles away. It’s one of the reasons we moved in the first place.
September 26th, 2014 at 11:28 pm
Please says : “How the heck have the Cleveland Indians dodged this bullet?”
Listen man. I grew up in Mashpee, Massachusetts. I lived there for 15 years, I grew up with INDIANS.
I typed it in all caps, because that’s what they called themselves. That’s what we called them too, to their faces, and no one cared the same. I’m talking 70’s and 80’s too. We all called them indians and that’s what they called themselves. Have things changed since 1989, because that was the last time I talked to the dude? It’s racist to call them indians now?
Does anyone see where I’m coming from? I grew up with an american indian kid that was a Redskins fan because of their name. We were best friends for about 12 years or so. We called him an indian and he called himself and indian. So back the F off with your slander or racist thinking about me.
I bet if I were to contact him today, he’d still say he’s an indian.

Buc1987…ok gramps…take your meds. No one is on your lawn….
And you brought liberal and conservative into this. The weakest argument I could think of. This isn’t a politics blog so I won’t respond in kind.
September 27th, 2014 at 6:12 am
Uncle Albert…that about sums it up! The name needs to go and people like Bucs1987 need to realize it’s coming whether they like it or not. That way they won’t burst a vein when it does actually happen
September 27th, 2014 at 7:33 am
It’s not the Indians that want the name changed. It’s the tree hugging politically correct crowd who are pushing this agenda. Many tribe leaders have been interviewed and their biggest response has been how ridiculous this has gotten out of hand by liberal outsiders. Most of them don’t see it as a racial slur, in fact, some of them see it as a reminder of their once proud dominance. But like always the league of liberal lawyers (ACLU) stick their nose in everything they don’t belong. Remember our public school’s “Pledge of Allegiance”?
Doubt many public school kids could recite the pledge today. In fact, I bet a lot of you recent bed wetters couldn’t recite it either.
Here, I’ll give you a headstart: I pledge allegiance to the flag of ….
September 27th, 2014 at 10:08 am
As a child I was a Red Skin Fan, and am happy their owner is not bowing to all the political correctness BS of our over sensitive society. I am no Seminole Fan either but don’t want FSU to give up their name or their chop, either.
September 27th, 2014 at 10:50 am
I hate the Washington D.C. Redskins, right up there with the Dallas Cowpokes, my two most despised NFL teams. Yeah, make them change their name just to piss them off. My great grandma was full blooded Shoshone, so the fraction of Indian in me does’nt give a damn about the other Indian like names. The Redskins also suck because of their District of Criminals location. The Seminoles of Fla St. nickname is ok, but that incessant tomahawk moaning the crowd engages in is utterly repulsive.
September 27th, 2014 at 4:52 pm
You trash glennon for a year and a half then make all these excuses and reasons why he sucked last year. Trust me i want him.to be good also. But i didnt jump ship and completely contradict myself joe. Where were all of these opinions in the offseason
The only opinion change Joe has had of Glennon is that he should be playing over McCown. Don’t misunderstand. Joe’s not backing off his opinion of Glennon, just fully supporting him because McCown now makes no sense at 0-3. –Joe
