“No Setbacks”
September 1st, 2014Pro Bowl cornerback Alterraun Verner said today he’s eager to see how his recovered/recovering hamstring feels after a complete football game, “full live action” on opening day.
That sounded ominous, but Verner balanced that with good news.
Verner said he’s had “no setbacks” with his hamstring and felt great in the aftermath of playing a quarter in Buffalo with the first team Bucs defense and subsequent practices and intense work.
The hamstring is totally out of his head now.
“I’m definitely at the point where I’m not thinking about it,” Verner said. “But we’ll see how it holds up.”

Sometimes you have to wonder if they just use the hamstring crap, to get out of training camp.

I don’t think players at this level fake injury to get out of camp. Most of them need & like the work…its in their DNA.
Its more likely the coaches will keep them out longer to make absolutely certain that the injury is heeled before they play.
