More “Hustle” Than Belicheat’s Patriots
July 31st, 2014After four seasons playing linebacker in New England, newcomer Dane Fletcher has experienced excellent coaching, winning and an elite organization.
They liked him up there, too, where Fletcher was a special teams star and even had playcalling duties for Bill Belicheat in certain games.
So it’s impressive to hear Fletcher deliver a huge compliment to his new teammates, one that puts them in better light than the Pats.
“Everybody’s hustling, but it’s a hustle that I haven’t seen before,” Fletcher said of the Bucs’ practice pace. “I’m used to hustling, but we are fast and going every play. I can’t emphasize how good this defense and offense is working. Everybody’s grinding.”
There’s no question Lovie Smith emphasizes team speed and running and getting after it at all times. That’s nice to talk about, but what only counts is to see it actually happening in practice. Fletcher being impressed is a great sign.
Greg Schiano desperately wanted his team to emulate the Patriots and hustle. It seems Lovie has kicked it up a couple of notches.

“I’m jacked up about it”
This is what I want to hear! Grinders and hustlers.

It’s easier to haul ass when you don’t have to drag the well documented baggage behind you.
I’m happiest for our returning vets who are pining to put that massive bowl full of suck behind them.
The biggest roster change? McCown, hands down. Calm as opposed to calamity at QB.
Go Bucs!

Belicheat still laughs himself silly when he thinks about how the bucs relied on his recommendation when hiring Schiano.
Then fleeced him for two players that helped his team last year, and picked up Revis cause of it this year.
Hilarious.

That’s the difference between a coach with boys mentality and a coach with men mentality.
We are getting back to Bucs football. You got to Love this!

@joe the page is starting to redirect to the App Store again. I can handle having to press no everytime I click on a page and it ask me if I want to down the stupid kardashian app but these redirects are too much.

The Joes always trot out terrific pics…this one is no exception. It’s a bit subtle…but it personifies what a minion Schiano was/is to Belicheat. I’m a bit surprised Greggy isn’t already the LB coach for the Pats….probably enjoying his generous severance from the Bucs and sniffing jocks/hoodies free of charge.

…is it necessary to delete my post when replying with your canned, corporate response? You clearly do not appreciate the feedback. You used to tell us this regularly.

Very exciting. I am so stoked I am dying to see future bouncers and construction workers play in preseason games.

I like Joe’s new canned response.
It shows that he is not stooping to the clowns levels anymore and going tit-for-tat with them.
When I see it, I think, well that clown just made a moronic comment.
Way to go Joe.

The Hoodie promptly dealt Blount and Talib this offseason. Fleeced?
He plugged a couple of holes till he could replace them both.

I hope I’m not premature in saying this, but it look like
we’ve got our mojo back from Dr Evil.
Love me some Lovie Smith.
Geeeah, Baby!
GO BUCS!! THIS IIS TAAMMPA!!

More proof that Schiano was a brilliant judge of NFL talent
and character. However to give the haters credit, he was a
terrible gameday coach with no concept of how to scheme
at this level.
As much as people rag on him he left this team stocked
with Buccaneer Men for Lovie.
Hopefully he will be the “Wyche” to Lovie Smiths “Dungy”.

Anyone up for kardashian game or candy crush. Oh wait this ain’t the App Store sorry wrong post. I just get redirected so much don’t know where I’m at in this internet world. Oh yeah bucs news glad to hear all these players talking about how far along the defense and offense are right now. Now I hope we don’t do the shiano preseason and yank the qb when he is 2-12 and looking horrible in the first quarter. and tom Brady plays into the 3rd quarter when he is 18-19 for 200″ yards. If they ain’t doing good in preseason hope lovie doesn’t think like shiano and they will automatically get it together week one vs panthers ferocious line

Talib and Blount made a lot of plays for the pats last year.
What did we get in return?
And I am sure Belicheat enjoys seeing Revis on the practice field, after the bucs gave him that massive unsustainable contract.
Total fleecing.

I don’t have any idea what our record is going to be this year. However, I don’t see how anyone can feel like we aren’t in considerably better shape then what we have been for the last 5 years. We actually seem like a professionally run organization, and I feel very confident that it is going to translate into a lot of wins. Lovie has an aura of confidence that is great to see, and it’s very obvious that the players are buying in. Not to mention the fact that I think we actually have a pretty talented team. If McCown can be the guy, I expect big things in 2014.

Dunno if trying to emulate the best NFL HC of the modern football era is being a minion or trying to use a proven winning formula and help player buy in? Might not have worked as planned, but it seems like a good decision at the time
And don’t forget severance AND paychecks from NFL Network, I’d be in no great rush either. Schiano is most likely weighing his options as well as reaching out to other coaches…much like the Bucs current HC did last year.

Schiano is completely unhirable at the NFL level. His reputation is way too bad as far as from the perspective of no players are going to want to play for him. Of course that could all be forgotten if, you know, he had success at this level. His best bet is to get hired at another mid-major D1 school, one that is happy being 8-4 and going to the Beef-O’Brady Bowl.
