“All-Out And All-In”
June 6th, 2014Joe tried and tried to get Bucs special teams chief Kevin O’Dea to name some names when it came to his emerging leaders and top returners.
O’Dea was more elusive than Devin Hester.
However, O’Dea was happy to talk about special teams philosophy and what he is seeking. Smarts are a huge focus, and O’Dea admits he’s taking notes on who is coming in to watch extra film.
Below is the full audio of O’Dea from 620wdae.com If you do play on the Bucs’ special teams, you better be “all-out and “all-in.”

Really think the starting spot is wide open and there is no front runner yet. Same can be said for many positions, yes Joe, even the starting QB spot. 😉 We got a lot more options this year at returned than we’ve had in previous years.

JOE, is O’Dea a huge contrast compared to Dave Wannstedt or are they very similar in their approach? He gives me the impression that he can be very animated. Not unlike Wannstedt, but in a “pi$$ and vinegar” kind of way. lol
Hard to tell yet. Both are animated. O’Dea maybe a little more. –Joe

Couch, McCown will have to self implode Freeman style for the Cannon to start.
And yeah, they are not going to decide on the KR/PR until the last minute.
